I've always viewed it as a way to deal with a life spaning millions of years. Just checking out for 50 years here and there would help keep things fresh.
The reason they run like that is because they're actually more energetic and more intelligent that people give them credit for. They watch and learn that between 2 and 3 am is the best time to do that without being stopped right away. Play with them or give them some structures to climb and just be cats. But this is only if you didn't have them fixed.
I wonder if this is when he trains. Image training might be especially effective with his species. We never see him consistently train but he does consistently nap. I have nothing to back this up but it would make for a great ass pull later lol
Maybe it's just part of the destroyer deal. You get to live for a mass amount of time. So you're sleeping in for large stretches of time. I don't think he's supposed to be constantly destroying. He's just supposed to come along here and there like a natural disaster.
Then why do none of the other Gods of Destruction show this trait? As I recall in the manga, the other GoDs actually mocked Beerus for sleeping so much.
