I waited a long time to buy this and got the prebuilt nightfall version only for $210 in the Philippines through a local supplier. I am using it as is, no mods done, and I find that I like the feel and even the sound. It comes with the unlubed Drop Holy Panda X which I also am using on my alternative keyboard (TigerLite 80) though lubed. I am used to the FR4 plate and this sounded different when I first typed on it but I like that it is not flexing so much because of the aluminum plate. I am using this now as my primary kb and since I am 100% typing with the headset on I do not really mind the different sound from my usual keyboard. I do not think I am going to have this modded, except for perhaps changing the switches later on to NK creams which I really, really love. Of course the keycaps will have to go as I do prefer the lighter colours on my board. Although the white on black looks very clean, I still do prefer my dcx hyperfuse or the mt3 ares.
ive been looking into trying to ease into the "enthusiast" keyboard space, my top 2 right now is either this or the gmmk pro currently been using a G915 thats what ill be progressing beyond
I would suggest starting with something a little cheaper. The CIY Tester68, GAS67 or TESTER84 or Keychron V series are all great starter options. These guys fully built with budget parts will be significantly less expensive than the Sense75 or GMMK Pro. If you enjoy the process/experience of building a budget keyboard, then try going with something more expensive.
@@andysit622 yeah the zoom 75 is still on gb so you could still get it but the only thing is that it is a gb keyboard which is not as good for beginners because of the long wait time
@@Walkdthock I bought it barebones and put my own switches (kailh box royals) and/dev/tty PBT keycaps and it's not nearly as pingy sound wise as in these videos. It is a little light tho and drop is now selling a heavier weight for it.
@@JeremyCaron Can you tell me if the extra $30 for the paint is honestly worth it? I'm kind of on the fence to get the white because of it. And what mods do you recommend to make it better sounding? I really believe that right combination of switches, keycaps, mods will bring out very good results for this one.
@@gavinthompson6027 I bought the one that came with switches and keycaps, don't have it yet since I live in Europe. Still thinking about whether or not I'll keep the holy panda x or change them.
It's a personal taste. For me I enjoy both fully exploded arrows (like sense 75, gmmk pro, keychron q1) or semi exploded (jelly epoch, tomo tgr). The only 75 layout I hate is full compact one (kbd75) because it's too crowded, but some may like the compact aspect from it.
