This is such a good commentary on relationships with our grandparents/ parents. The look on Uncle Ted's face when his nephew said he got his own washer and dryer. Such a simple thing to say, but to Uncle Ted, it means watching the only young face that brought joy to his heart, is moving on somewhere else. Worse off, he's moving on to a place that brings more joy to him than being at the laundry mat with his Uncle. Its a statement being that we've all had to make that choice to not be around family members that much simply because there's more elsewhere, even though those family members would give anything to have us stay a few more minutes.

What makes this even worse is the fact that Keith doesn’t even have any hair on his face or head and wants to hang out at a place that has little relevance to him but to socialize. This was one of the few sketches Key decided not to use a hairstyle. It’s funny they decided to go that way on purpose.

It’s weird, this skit is my all time favorite skit of theirs, and it ain’t even comedy. The kid grew up and moved onto other things in life, while the uncle who’s too slow and old to change is left alone, staring into the abyss.

This has a bit of realism for anyone who grew up before mobile gaming. Laundromats used to have multiple arcade cabinets in front, a natural synergy of customers with downtime and already handling lots of change, making it a natural hang out spot for kids. Beginning with Gameboys and PSP's, and now with most phones doubling as a game system, the arcade cabinets slowly but surely disappeared.

When I was a little boy, me and my brother used to collect change and for several years we do this every Saturday. Playing metal slug or marvel vs capcon. Or even the warship games. It was really fun back in the day. Now that I am old there is no place anymore to experience this where I live at. Time flys and old memories stick with us.

You know they shave heads at barbershops for one. And two, bald people actually cut their hair more then anyone else....hints why they are bald. Even people that say they can’t grow hair and that’s why they are bald... they actually can grow hair. It just doesn’t grow in all over their head evenly, or if it does it’s very thin. So it makes sense and looks better to just shave it all off. Again... leading to more of a need for a barbershop than anyone else really. That is if they don’t shave it themselves. There is hardly nobody that actually has literally no hair and doesn’t grow any more back.
