The difference between being anxious and having anxiety are the time frame. Anxiety is an ongoing thing, it doesn’t go away after a few days. It also effects your daily life, compared to being anxious short term.
There are various types of anxiety disorders, and they can actually have a big impact on your life. Also, depending on the severity of the disorder it can be accompanied by severe depression and for some, suicide or suicidal ideation. To broaden the discussion, it might be a good idea to try and invite a guest on that has an anxiety disorder and see if they feel comfortable enough to share their experience or possibly invite a therapist that can better explain anxiety disorders to you in more detail. Either way, it's an important discussion to have seeing as how so many people are affected by it. Also, it's not uncommon for people to use alcohol or drugs to self-medicate when dealing with severe anxiety which is why the person who got pulled over probably mentioned it to the cop. I’m only 10 minutes in and the ignorance is shocking. Please do more research before discussing such topics. Anxiety is not a buzzword.. it’s very real and very common. Don’t forget the country has been through a whole pandemic in which the condition was severely heightened. There are numerous types of anxiety also, what it is for one person is not what it is for another.
