Ok Ant. My jaw dropped watching this video. I'm a long time fan, and watched this out of curiosity because I generally love all of your takes. And I'm not trying to be that commenter who's like 'oh I know all about this topic' but I ACTUALLY KNOW ABOUT THIS AND YOU ARE SPOT ON. I was a PA on sets in LA for years out of film school and the Smiths were common eye-roll gossip in the makeup trailers - everywhere really. Everything you said was spot-on, at least from what I've heard first-hand. Definite PR marriage, both apparently swing both ways, Jada uses her loose Tupac-tie for endless regurgitated clout, and most of the people I know who have worked with one or both of them just eye-roll about all of it. They also have some solid Scientology ties, not sure how relevant that is, but definitely interesting.

Now that Will Smith is built up with such a likeable image, Will Smith probably also put it down on her that she can’t leave because it will tarnish the brand. This makes a lot of sense. Jada had a great acting career. Doing comedies and sitcoms. She was well applauded for her work in drama and horror.
