Thank you! Yeah, my kids have all loved mechs, thus we have so many around. There are several mechs that I am afraid would cause rioting if I took them apart.
I know a lot of people that would like that! They don't want to limit themselves to just one theme at this point though if they can fit mechs in every theme. Thanks for watching!
Yeah im tired of hearing people complain about them when Lego obviously has the sales data to back them up. Im sure people will get bored eventually and lego will move away from them but the fact is its a cheap package to give kids a minifigure. Ive brought 3 maybe 4 just because its a cheap minifigure and part pack. They go on sale so often about half way through their life span here in the UK the marvel mechs were being sold at Aldi for £8 each! I get the frustration at the overexposure but at the end of the day we ARE buying children's toys... You wont find a mech in the 18+ sets (hulkbuster excluded of course) so stick to them. Some people need a serious reminded that lego has and always will be a TOY company. The rise of AFOLs is a bonus to them not a new main demographic.
I understand the frustration from the star wars guys as mechs aren't a thing in their universe but as you said kids by and large don't care. I'm sure there are some that do but for the most part they just want a new toy. I accepted the most bootleg random toys as a kid and it wasn't until I was older that I realised things weren't even officially licensed.
