Harrison, I bought one of these machines a few months ago. It worked well right out of the box. Then I changed to a heavier thread/needle combo , and all hell broke loose! It was just one problem after the other. Thanks to you, and your numerous videos, I was able to fix each of the problems as they came up. You are my Chinese Sewing Machine Sensei!! Thank you so much!!
@Bluetoothz32
Your cam timing is based off your machine and differences in the bends in the bars. Don't we need to base it off when the presser foot and walking action happen in relation to the needle stroke? I think my cams are way off and can't find this info. I have two machines and I promise you the bars are shaped different. They won't even interchange correctly.

Flip the needle y’all, I checked my timing and whatever he’s showing here. I read the comments they said to flip the needle, the flat part of the needle is touching the base now and it worked perfectly. Just flip your needle.

Thread snapping/fraying can also be caused by a damaged needle. I was a professional costumer for many years, and in my experience incorrect tension and damaged needles (burrs or dullness) are the most common causes, so if you have already sewn a few inches on that piece of leather, and your stitches looked balanced on both sides, then I would recommend changing the needle before you do anything else. It’s simple, needles are cheap, and you will save yourself a lot of time/aggravation.

These things are just too complicated for me, had mine for 2-3 months and I can’t get it to do anything… I’ll just stick to hand stitching.

What the heck is this machine? Not throwing shade I’ve just never seen anything like this. It’s been hard to find videos on my specific machine and I came across this 💀

I don't know who is making this contraption but they for sure owe you a commission. Without your channel I would have junked mine. Thanks
