There’s a quote that always stuck with me, can’t remember it exactly but it’s something along the lines of; “The old you would have only dreamed to be in the position you are now, so don’t take it for granted” Imagine if you were talking to the old Adam who started the channel two years ago.. if you said you’d have 15,000 more subscribers, two cars and successful merch. I think the old you would have laughed it off. Now look at how far you’ve got. It’s easy to dismiss our achievements, but 17k on RU-vid is extremely good, probably only about 15% of people that use RU-vid even have that, so don’t knock yourself man. Keep it up, I been here since day 1 and will be here to the end! It’s funny cos I’m not the biggest outdoors lover, I watch for you and your personality and your ethos on life, you are a positive dude. You need to listen to your own advice more, as do I probably haha. Keep it up brother 👍

Over night camping - the issue is the UK is full of muppets who have no consideration for anyone......ever. Leaving a mess; rubbish; wrecking places; noise. whatever it is, it is those folk that mess it up for the good un's amongst us. As for your channel, don't give up Adam, you're doing some fantastic content brother👍🏻😄The growth will come but the moment you start seeing it as a bind or a business and you will lose the will to carry on sometimes. Just do your trips and enjoy them.

I think your channel is growing totally fine mate. I've had mine for virtually bang on a year now and virtually hit 2k. With the time you've had yours I would say your growth is great 👍

oh m8 thank you so much, im in that zone of questioning alot of what im doing on the channel atm, is it working it is right is it wrong, tough gig being a youtuber, a constant emotional rollercoaster espcially when its your main gig but thanks you for this builds my confidence in what im doing is right it might not be quite the mainstream but id rather not change ME to get where id like to be on here 🙏
@wanderingwhere I've been in business ( my only gig ) since 2003.. didn't get and still don't get everything right ( who does ) but I took the plunge and changed vocation 9 years ago. Everything in life is a gamble but if you are doing what makes you happy ( I'm now doing that ), then that's a big thing and half the battle. We all love you and the channel mate. I see some proper shizz on RU-vid, some with 50k subs , proper wooden people with no character doing repeat , repeat.. but there are lots of unimaginative people out there, so it fits in with them. Yours is original, inventive, and unique.. hard work always wins through, as you will. Growing you big also can have adverse effects, so stick to a target and aim for that.
The lighthouse is still operational. it's operated and monitored remotely from Essex! Don't be too disheartened. I look forward to your videos every week as do many..

its not like were asking for much is it ... a bin at the parking site so the place stays clean and maybe a public toilet somewhere close by ... sure there might be a few rebels there in the summertime but thats just the way it is, services should deal with it if its an issue by policing it
@@wanderingwhere Yep its the same with the canal and river system (done a bit of boating) terrible facilities compared to other countries and on some of the rivers especially down south 😉 there is no where to moor when you travel through apparently because all the moorings are privately owned. We have a beautiful country people should be encouraged to go out and explore it, keep fit and put money into local economies. Hope you go to Robin hoods bay at some point such a fabulous spot! Stay stealthy mate, you will get there because you have the passion for it and keep it real and we all love that and others will find that too! x

You're absolutely right about camp sights. People should be able to camp where they want, as long as they do it responsibly. 3 words I hate to hear together... it's not allowed. The English are so good at saying those 3 words. What you do, and the places you go to visit feeds the saul. It clears away the cobwebs. And makes you feel whole. I love your videos mate. keep them coming. I never miss-em. That spag boll didn't look too bad.
Great Vid as usual 👌As for those close up shots. Have a look at second hand Pocket compact travel zoom cameras like the Panasonic Lumix. TZ FHD, cameras. Up to 30x Zoom There are quite a few different models on the bay. Spend a bit more dosh and you can get a 4k one. Loads of test videos on YT for different models. You can see what the footage actually looks like. 👍😊
Adam. You literally passed our road end on your way to St Bees.. Could have popped in for a cuppa. The firing range is just down the coast from our clifftop bungalow and when they fire those guns... The whole cabin shakes!! There was lots of army activity on our coast and a large concrete slab down from us was used to land tanks from barges at high tide. It's now a park for night spot. Maybe next time 🤔🐕🚙

How have you managed with the weather, just came back off camp 2 it was extreme weather wise with storms with Noa from France, think that's what they called it, wet and winds 54mph, but loved it. Did hikes and feel great. Back at work Monday and already planning next one. Your spot on, some of us want peace and quiet when we car camp or tent it. UK is useless you would think after Covid they would encourage us to see the beautiful countryside. Definitely get yourself some shower caps for your muddy shoes, or proper plastic shoe covers. I learnt try to keep the mud out. Yes I hate the train lines, as some don't even have a barrier, not always clear. Love the different spots you visited. Beautiful views and the light house looked pretty from the distance. Did you not have a phone signal to watch something else? Stay safe and keep them coming.

@@wanderingwhere don’t ever doubt yourself Adam you are you and your bring so much to every area you visit I live in Dorset so going to the lakes and Peak District a bit out of my reach unless on a holiday but you’ve shown me and so many others what a magnificent and beautiful country we live in and a way that’s affordable to see it in. Even when out with mini me you made life long memories, for both of you I love the way you are down to earth and genuine. All the best and keep it up.
Great video love the trail along the coast line what a fantastic beach to explore. Some people just need to respect the countryside and leave it as you found it and take your litter home and them we might not have all the no overnight parking signs everywhere which is spoiling it for everybody else who does keep it clean. Your right about spaghetti bags normally it's that plastic that just splits right down the middle and you end up with it all over the place. Looks like a good meal, stay stealthy and enjoy the week ahead.
I watch you tube all the time. Your videos come up the most and I watch nearly all of your videos. So I think you doing amazing. Just remember that change of seasons etc can result in what seems losing business. Ive had my own business and seen the dips and troughs. Honestly just keep being you, go where you want to and the right people at the right time will follow.😊

Yeah, tbh that's why I stopped uploading videos on my channel as it just took took much time and took away the enjoyment of being out. We still do our walks and micro camping without the hassle of making videos. It's where you want to be. But we both (the missis and me) enjoy watching your vids. Keep, safe atb Si
thanks so much, most of my life ive wanted to find a gig/job that could fund my love for travelling, many decades in ive found this, its borderline to being able to fund it at the minute and is backed up with numerous others things i do and im with you with what your saying i wish i had the funds to just travel and not make vids, its a massively tough gig but with the negative comes the positive, a great style of life and an amazing community with it, it just feels at the minute that im on a bit a thin wall and could slip either way .... close to success and close to failure, its a tough one atm with all the effort and work i put in
I believe the reason for the 'no overnight parking' rule is because in the past, people did not take care of the area, leaving it messy and forcing the locals to clean up after them. I have been following your channel for a while now, and I know you have been frustrated about not being able to stay overnight. During the period between lockdowns, when everyone was doing staycations and there was a surge in camper and car camping, the Lake District was left in a poor state. Unfortunately, there are very few people like you who leave no trace and are willing to properly dispose of their waste and rubbish.
no im with you i totally understand that and it definitely not whats wanted nor unruly behaviour but i just feel it could be dealt with better if other places can do scotland as an example, more bins and public toilets and maybe in over popular areas allow for bookings like in certain areas in scotland, so you book your overnight wild camp spot, we (england) just seem to deal with it by putting up loads and sign bringing in new laws and blaming gypsies if you know what i mean, its not just the overnighting parking though its wild camping aswell but thats a whole other issue ;)
The Nuclear site would have been Sellafield power pant. I only know as I got the train from Drigg to St Bees the other week whilst I was up there and past the Sellafield station.
The good thing about your videos is the fact that thy don’t follow the format of so many others. And many of the other ‘similar’ creators feature in each other videos, so there’s obviously going to be a lot of cross promotion etc (not that there’s anything wrong with that of course) Your videos are great, each one is it’s own individual, informative, entertaining and usually hilarious creation! Don’t change 👍.
Cheers for this mate really appreciated, honestly chuffed that i can throw the odd wild camp in here and there and they get the views, great to be able to mix it up, bodes well for the future of the channel being able to diversify a little and yeh ill hold my hands up the cross promotion is pretty cool sometimes things like the ebike give me that chance to throw in a curve ball video with some mad wild ebike camp now and again, ... spoiler, im hoping to have a sup board on the way soon so could be a couple of funky island sup board camps coming up .... just need a lot of waterproof bags first 😉

@@wanderingwhere it had a beautiful field of fire across those beaches on either side. Another one of those built a bit further down and the crossfire would have been grinding them up.

I did thè coast to coast when I was 11.. amazing experience.. been looking at different ways to do it again but cheaper aß we used youth hostels and b and bs.. either camping or car camping ..fab vid as always adam. Love seeing your take on these places, especially if I know them. Wouldn't swim nr Sellafield myself though! 😮😄👍

Another epic location mate! It was weird, after about 2 mins of this vid I could tell something wasn’t quite right with you. Seemed a little deflated and forced BUT regardless, another shhpanking episode! Keep moving forward and I’m sure this bump in the road will pass. I must admit you tube is hard unless your young and got a hot woman along for the ride. I'd be a bit concerned about the beaches near Sellafield, it's a nuclear power station , used to be called windscale, had a problem with nuclear isotopes released onto the beaches.
