We try to provide positive entertainment for people and also this is how we make our money making RU-vid videos. Why do people feel the need to hate on people just because there is a comment section that they abuse us creators in. I don't want to be a punch bag for people who just want to hate on us so every now and again, I have to make a stand. We are only human, we have feelings and would never hurt others so why it is acceptable for strangers to do this to people they don't know personally.

I'll let you know something for free, the reason channels like yours are being trolled is because they are jealous and can't see why you get the views and the review offers. It's because you and your family are entertaining and have great characters and don't mind having a go and helping those less able. You entertain and inform on many levels, which by the look of his channel he hasn't the first clue. My channel is dormant at the moment but when I get going I would hope to be as entertaining and engaging as you and your family are. I found your channels when I was recovering from a heart attack about 4 years ago and I still watch regularly as I find you all to be honest, entertaining and funny. No, the reason people don’t like or trust reviewers is because it’s a job to them & that’s how they make their living so therefore they are obliged to give good reviews, if they are too honest & advise people to buy elsewhere then they are unlikely to get more free stuff to review or be paid for a promotion, a paid review or a review on free stuff can’t be an honest review despite the reviewers saying they would tell you if the product is rubbish. There are a few very rare reviewers that will give honest reviews & that’s because they don’t rely on reviews for their income or to live for free. That’s life on RU-vid get over it, & don’t bother telling commenters they are trolls because you don’t agree with them , I personally would not trust the majority of youtube “reviews” or Amazon “reviews”, I hope no snowflakes got injured whilst reading this comment 😂.

I have been watching you for years. There are so many refreshing things about your channels. They are informative, fun and most importantly after the past three years a bit of a relief from a rather crazy world. I love watching you all as a family, the banter, the commitment you all have to each other. I have been totally on my own now since 1994 when mum died, no family nothing so watching you all makes me feel a little more secure in the world knowing there are loving families about, gives me a bit of hope to carry on if that makes any sense! Martin, you can go to bed at night content in your heart that your footprint on this world does no harm, that you support and love your family and you create a bit of a haven in this world for those of us who face it on our own and give hope. When you look at your life that way people like this fellow really no matter what they say simply should not appear on your radar in terms of worrying or being affected by their words, they are, meaningless and untrue, as my dear old mum used to say, you can´t make sense out of nonsense, just discard it as worthless which is what his comments are and rather, focus on the many more comments of support and gratitude which is far more representative who who you are in this world. You are a person of action, your words have weight and meaning because they are backed up with action and that is why 99.9% respect you and your family, the .01% who don´t, well, their factless opinions are meaningless. One of the worst things in this world is envy, jealousy coming a close second! It doesn’t matter what you do or how hard you work, you will always be accused of getting something for nothing. I've only just come across this, it flagged up as I'm more recently subscribed . I am long retired and for a large part of my working career was self employed in retail. One of the first lessons you learn is Never slag off a competitor, people hate this and it does one no favours. Being jealous does not excuse slagging off. I am wading through lots of Sharron and Martins Butlersempire videos and can honestly say they are my favourite viewings. Power to your elbow guys, as others have said ignore and block the few who have nothing better to do with their time than criticise. Hello Martin. We are of a similar age and it bugs me how these days some people feel it is their right to criticise other people for no reason. I’m never going to meet you, your son or your wife, but have to say I enjoy watching your videos. Most of the things you do are nothing I will do, but I love learning and watching such things as how to make a shed, how to powder coat, repairing lawn mowers etc and it has given me knowledge and enjoyment. Don’t get wound up by haters, they have no integrity and no self respect. I was always taught as a child, if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing. Keep up the good work.

Never thought about your channel in that way. I just think good on you to earn some pennies from videoing what to do. I decided to film what I do and am slowly getting to monetisation. Martin I've watched your channel on and off for a few years I have high functioning autism and somebody in my family died so I purchased a house the hate is unbelievable from locals, simply because their kids can't get on the housing ladder, it needs a lot doing to it 1930s semi and I am struggling to find honest people. I totally understand how you feel because I'm sick of receiving hate off idiots who have nothing better to do than try and bring others down. I only discovered your channel recently after buying an Instant Pot air fryer. The Butlers Empire is absolutely brilliant! This vid popped up today so you'll have another subscriber on here too. You're so down to earth with your reviews and you don't put on 'airs and Grace's' so your not trying to blind people with science or make anyone think you're better than them. I'm hoping I'll like this channel as much as Butlers Empire. I've passed that link on to a couple of friends and they love it too. You're both very entertaining and also give some great tips. I. Hope you earn loads of money! You deserve it. Tossers like Roy shouldn't worry you at all. The only reason he has 40 subscribers is because he's got a lot of relatives that are subscribing to do him a favour but I doubt if even they watch his vids. Keep up the great work. When trolls turn up spewing their putrid purulent opinions, it has nothing to do with you in actual fact and everything to do with them! He's a Billy-Bob who doesn't even know how to get dressed for the day let alone put on shoes. Keep up your great work and don't let him or anyone get to you. Life is too short other you'll be letting the trolls live in your head rent free and affect your work

I am 70 years old next month. I have just recently found your u tube channel and I love it. As for the trolls just ignore them they are just jealous of how good your videos are. I really enjoy watching your videos. I have just been diagnosed type 2 diabeties and your videos have helped me understand types of food better than the info on diabeties eating. People that hate for what others have are just unhappy with their own lives which is pathetic as we are all responsible for our own lives through our own choices. I love your channel, I’m at home disabled and really enjoy watching your travels and cooking and just generally following all your adventures. I'm a new subscriber, the best way to deal with trolls is to ignore them, most viewers will do the same or may even call them out over it. Don't be tempted to name them, it just gives them publicity which is what they are after...

Its a sad fact of life that there will be trolls of all shapes and sizes, they have been around a long time and wont be going away anytime soon, most have some sort of personality or mental disorder. There was a saying back in the day 'Do Not Feed The Trolls' that means dont react to them, because its the reaction they are looking for, the more explosive the better in their eyes, those sorts of people get a lot of pleasure from upsetting and pissing people off, drawing them in to something that winds them up even more, a troll sometimes will wait to see the reply from its victim, usually with a view to escalate the situation, so if another one crosses your path keep it in mind and ignore it, see them for what the waste of time that they are, dont let them rob you of any more of your time... keep up the good work and dont get discouraged.

I've been watching you since you were printing t-shirts (and mugs), and it's through watching you and your lovely wife that has inspired me to start up a channel in the New Year. I to will probably have my share of trolls writing comments that are written in a certain way to try to put you off but it's something that you just have to brush aside and keep going. Hi Martin, quite unusual for them to have content, as you say they never usually have content. A lot don’t realise the amount of effort that goes into making RU-vid content, as you know it’s hard work. I’ll miss the not so regular Retrorestore content, but you need to do what you have to do i understand that. I’m thinking of making a few tweaks with my 2 channels nothing major but I’m hoping it will help both, anyway don’t let then grind you done 🙂👍

Hate normally comes through anonymous accounts, which you can do nothing about (social media is good, but a big failing is the lack of accountability). If, as in this case, you actually know the identity of the person then I would think your best tactic is a reversion to the old-school style of going to visit him in real life and ask him what the actual problem is. Online bravados are rarely that in real life. Keep going, I enjoy the fix-it stuff!!

I bet managing the channels are a full time job. People don’t understand. You don’t deserve that type of negative feedback. Good for you that you named the guy. He should be ashamed of his behaviour.
