Why Does Russian Tor-M2 Play a Vital Role Alongside S-300 and S-400

The skies above Ukraine have become a battleground for more than just soldiers and tanks. In this new era of aerial warfare, where drones buzz like angry hornets and helicopters dance on the edge of visibility, a silent hunter has emerged from the shadows of Russia's air defense network: the Tor-M2 or the SA-15 Gauntlet in NATO’s word. While the mighty S-300 and S-400, those titans of air defense, have dominated headlines with their stratospheric reach and ballistic missile-crushing capabilities, the Tor-M2, with its swift movements and low-altitude focus, has proven to be an unsung hero, leaving many wonderings why does Russia need this seemingly "lesser" system when it already possesses aerial giants?

The reason you have problems with destroying a S-300/400 and why you need a huge swarm of drones/ARM's to defeat it - Is in fact the Tor, that always escorts it. It can destroy those drones and ARM's before they hit the S-300/400 system. However the Tor tracked version is more used for escorting armored units on the battlefield. The Pantsir System is annother less armored system for short range object defense that includes very fast firing 30mm cannons for very short ranged engagements. I would not fly a Helicopter close to these. If they hide nicely and only use their optic and IR/thermal detection systems, you won't know what hit you. Not to mention the Tunguska...

Very Briefed And summarized Ideas: the system is excellent, but in the Ukrainian theater of operations, this system effectiveness remains limited by the topographical complicity in terms of the density of vegetation and the clutter it generat behind. while In deserts and open areas, the system may demonstrate its tactical and operational preferences... However, for the size of the system, the engagement envelope is considered small or limited, so I think it is appropriate for conducting: 1- the duty of point air defense where it's suitable for deployment in the vicinity of critical installations and high-value targets... 2- deploying in the vicinity of long range heavy air defense missile deployment sites such as S300/S400/S500 where the (tor system) benefit from the heavy air defense systems long-range radars and fire management systems with superior capabilities in enhancing the awareness and giving those sub-systems such as the (tor system) an advanced early warning capabilities, in addition to the capabilities of long range air defense systems in distributing and organizing the air defense tasks or missions between different sub-air defense systems, especially when they had to deal with threats within certain categories corresponding to the short & medium ranges air defense systems engagement envelopes or considered as lower priority threats, and by complementing and thus reducing the burden on the heavy air defense systems and prevent the exhaustion of their ammunition of shooting down less demanding aerial target's... 3- employing the features of the system’s high mobility and operational flexibility or speed of reaction time after stop to set up mobile ambushes for enemy air assets... 4- employing the advantages mentioned in the previous point of the system high mobility and operational flexibility in quickly closing any breaches that occur in the integrated air defense network in particular against low flying aerial monitions... 5- Keeping up with and escorting armored and mechanized formations, artillery and mlrs launchers formations and other high value ground forces assets when they are moving on the roads to protecting and defending them from the sudden air attacks, in addition to defending and protecting them on the battlefield from threats and air hostilities flying at low altitudes, especially attack helicopters such as the ah64 equipped with agm114 missiles with a range of 8 km and 11 km, depending on the altitude when launching the atgm missile, ground attack aircrafts, heavy mlrs launchers, and surface-to-surface ballistic missiles equipped with sub-munitions... the (tor system) provides advanced performance indicators in confronting low-altitude aerial threats, such as attack helicopters equipped with guided munitions dating back to the last stages of the Cold War or the last quarter of the twentieth century, such as the agm114 and perhaps even the sgm65 Maverick when launched from low altitude... but in the face of modern guided munitions, such as the antichrist Island brimstone air2ground missile with a ranges between 12km for the base model and 40km for the second generation (when launched from rotor wings) and the zionist entity’s aerospike missile, perhaps (tor system) can focus on trying to intercept these guided missiles instead of working on shooting down the aerail platforms carrying them... I believe that the (tor system) provides capabilities that are commensurate with the needs of most countries in the world, especially what is known as the countries of the South, when the threats and hostilities that are supposed to encounter on the battle fields at its best dates back in their specifications and capabilities to the tactical and operational requirements of the late Cold War... so between defending and protecting high value assets and escorting fighting formations on the battlefields, beside the scalability of the system (tor system) can fullfil the needs of most countries around the world...

Pantsir SM2??? Combination of ZSU-23-4 Shilka/2K22 Tunguska/9K33 Osa-10/ 2S38 'Derivaciya' PVO 57mm Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Gun (better than Flakpanzer Gepard) and the newest Pantsir System (12 missiles and two 30mm autocannons and 3 radar systems vs one Gepard has)! btw Gepard and similar systems don't have missiles incorporated! Russians have quantitatively and quantitively better systems! Not to mention 9M32 STRELA-2/9K333 Verba shoulder-fired AA systems! Plugged with A-50 (AWACS) and supported with hundreds of Su-30SM and Su-35 planes!

I have no doubt the Russians have good equipment and it's all being tested but it seems these small drones are taking out equipment that cost tens of millions of dollars you will never beat a enemy of they can blow up equipment like this with a thousand dollar drone and their tanks would be better off . making the turret bigger and storing the ammo in it's own blast box get rid of the auto loader it's not the tanks it's the ammo in the metal coffins the Russian cosmaunauts are riding in I feel for these brave men on both sides
