After spending in excess of 35 thousand dollars for wedding rings, lawyers fees, honeymoon After the wedding and when she had her interview with the embassy she failed to tell me 17 yrs ago she married a Japanese man to go there for work. So to make a long story short she let me waste support for her for two yrs and all the other expenses I listed. My marriage to her was illegal because she's still married to the guy. I'm devastated and wasted close to 4yrs of my life just to be crushed.

This is not exclusive to Filapinas... This could be a woman in any culture. 🤔🤨 This depends on the woman (i.e. case by case basis). Make sure you know who you're with. Pay attention to her actions with others, what her friends are like, what she says her morals and values are compared to how she acts/talks... It's not rocket science... The clues are always there as to whether you have a good woman or not... Not all women are cheaters even in the worst case scenario...

With social media and the internet it just makes it easier than ever to cheat. So just be very careful with who ever you meet. It's better to hire a private investigator sometimes and have the person checked out before you get to serious. Will save you money in the long run.

I think in most cases Filipina's cheat for the same reasons a woman from any other country does. In a lot of cases they're sick of the husband or the husband shows them no interest any more. What you are talking about is a dangerous game because some of these guys are ex military or are unstable and may come harm you if they find out you are stealing from them . If you make promises on line and have no intention of keeping them then find another way. Just as a Filipino husband will get away with a crime of passion a foreign man may think the same way and kill your whole family. I had one Filipina who was living with me that I found out was not only married to two men but talking to other men on line . I'm talking to a Filipina now who I found out six months into the relationship that she has an adult son which led to me finding out that she has been separated from her husband for 16 years but not annulled. You would think if a person wanted to move on with their lives they would save up enough over a long period to take care of their own business before starting a new relationship based on a lie . Perhaps this is the reason older men look for the younger women because there's less of a chance of them having baggage from previous relationships. I also believe divorce should be allowed in the philippines so both parties can move on from bad abusive relationships. Did you ask if she was ever married before? There is no divorce in the Philippines so Most only separate. Most are aware of this including foreigners. But also there is many filipinas that has never married but have had live in boyfriend or even with kids. They don't marry because either the risk because so hard to get annulled and cost or can't afford to get married.

I find Filipinas much more practical than Western women, they will do whatever they need to do to survive. unfortunately, for me, i had a wife who constantly cheated on me every time i went out to sea (navy). I got out of the navy after 10 yrs trying to salvage my marriage, to no end. a few yrs later, more cheating, I finally said, enough is enough. I got a divorce and raised my 2 boys on my own. The sad truth. This is reality and something that we as foreigners find hard to come to terms with. Finding work in the province, or the city for that matter, is VERY hard. I can see how some filipino men give up and hope for the best while the filipina wife is left "holding the bag". I understand that she will go to great lengths to feed her kids and still take care of her husband. But to lie to foreigner and pretend she is available, taking money and gifts, that behavior should keep her up at night. There is no right answer here. It's hard not to call it what it really is. I guess the end result from the foreigners point of view, assume she is lying about all things. You can love her but you can't trust her. She doesn't mean to hurt the foreigner but keeping her children from starving is the only thing that matters and lying to her foreign BF is therefore a acceptable necessity. Its sad but this is a situation in not only the Philippines. As far as the cheating is concerned it could have different reasons, economic, boredom. Or just plain lust. If an able bodied man (or woman) refuses to accept responsibility and try to help support their family then tell them they must either change their ways or go. The Philippines needs to address this problem. maybe by allowing people to divorce and also by enacting child support laws. If a person truly cannot find a job then make them do community work, cleaning up the streets or parks, etc. The money earned can be credited for buying groceries. If nothing is done then this lifestyle runs the risk of perpetuating into the next generation.

seems to me, the problem of the filipino not working is from laziness, and a wife who doesn't kick his ass and tell him to find a job or get out. wanting a family is one thing, but being responsible for a family is another.
Some filipino men hit the wife and drink when not at work and spend no time with family. So in that situation I get it. But cheating on a good man is a big issue and I would definitely press legal charges if it was me it happened to.

Hello! Could you tell me why many Filipinas, when they move to another country with their foreign husband, spoil a lot! Why do they forget about their vows, about their Filipino upbringing? They often cheat on their husbands, and sometimes even go to others men. Yes, this does not apply to everyone, but to many. Dealing with a filipina with children she made with another man is just as fraught with pitfalls as dating a single mother in the west. Im not saying its all terrible, Im just saying that men who have the option of dating single, childless women will mostly get a better deal. It is what it is. No reason to pretend otherwise.
From Joe In the west Phillippino men are always working. They work very hard. It's not natural for these men to sit in a room and do, college term papers. Women are better at that.
