★ SCRIPTURES ★
Jeremiah 1:5-8 (NIV)
*5* “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
*6* “Alas, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.”
*7* But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.
*8* Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord.
In these verses, God reassures Jeremiah that his calling as a prophet was divinely ordained even before his birth, and He encourages Jeremiah to trust in His guidance and protection, despite Jeremiah's initial fears and feelings of inadequacy.
Psalms 139:14 (NIV)
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
These verses reflect two different aspects of human experience and relationship with God. In Jeremiah 1:6, Jeremiah expresses his initial reluctance and sense of inadequacy when called by God to be a prophet. Conversely, Psalms 139:14 is a declaration of praise for God's creation, acknowledging the wonder and intentionality behind human existence.
🎀 PRAYER 🎀
---
Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts full of gratitude and praise. We thank You for the gift of life and the unique journey You have set for each one of us. Your Word reminds us in Psalms 139:14 that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Each of us is a masterpiece of Your creation, crafted with purpose and intention.
Lord, we pray for everyone watching this video today, especially those who may be struggling with self-esteem and self-worth. Remind them, Father, of the powerful words You spoke to Jeremiah: "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations" (Jeremiah 1:5). Just as You had a plan for Jeremiah, You have a plan for each of us. Help us to trust in Your divine purpose for our lives.
When we feel inadequate or unworthy, remind us, Lord, that You do not call the equipped, but You equip the called. You told Jeremiah, "Do not say, 'I am too young.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you" (Jeremiah 1:7-8). In the same way, give us the courage to step into our calling and to speak the truth You place in our hearts.
Father, we ask for Your strength and confidence to fill our spirits. Help us to see ourselves through Your eyes-valuable, capable, and deeply loved. May we walk boldly in the knowledge that we are Your children, created for a purpose that only we can fulfill.
Bless each person listening today with a renewed sense of self-worth and a deep understanding of Your love for them. May they carry this assurance into their daily lives, shining Your light wherever they go.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.
---
May this prayer bring you encouragement and strength, helping you embrace your worth and purpose as wonderfully made children of God.
