I've always wondered why Tiger has taped his finger. I had some pain in my middle knuckle of my middle finger, so I gave it a try. If you think you know leave a comment.

I use it for mental purposes, it makes it seem like i have a better grip lol

its because he uses a interlock grip and after hitting the ball as hard and fast as he dose it hurts your knuckles.

I’ve noticed the same thing, the tape does seem to help.

The taped finger is not involved in the interlock

Its also for callouses. After so many swings, the skin can rip open.

That’s interesting, it might be that. I’ve been playing a lot and I got callouses on my fingers that interlock. Might be different for everyone too.
