I think that was just a poor explanation from these kinds of channels. More than likely the actual situation was Batman was too fearful for the green ring but too courageous for the yellow ring. He’s in a awkward middle ground kind of area.
Pretty sure he could use a Green Lantern ring. He doesn't because to use it would mean he would have to let go of that night in the alley, something Batman feels he can't do quite yet.
Hal gave Bruce the ring as a way to help Bruce say goodbye to his parents as a way to help Bruce like when Hal’s father died which is why Bruce summons the image of them but he couldn’t do it and gives the ring back
That's the reason why Batman's good cuz even though he works in the dark he's not evil so when he works with it sometimes good will look at him like yeah Batman he kind of going just too far but he still helping people but at the same time with fear looks at him he doesn't want to embrace it to the full of extant just like the joker or Insanity
Every other ring rejects batman because he has too much of every motion. Fear, hope, will, rage, averice, compassion, love, death, life and even invisible spectrum of emotion
In one comic set in an alternate universe, Bruce gets a Green Lantern ring the night his parents were murdered. His willpower was so strong that he overrided the ring and killed their killer.
