If you spawn at portal and follow the portal spine (its a row of rings that looks like monorail) down it takes you to the terminal where you do, the rockwell fight. aberration is basically an arc that was re-purposed as a teleporter to try and get to earth.

Maybe the corrupt obelisk had fragmented data from several sources and mashed them together…including the tech cave. (ie. rockwell destroyed aberations “dome” and an astroid smacked the obolisk. The obolisks create the plants, creatures, and structure changing how it creates the ab Ark.) corect me if in wrong

@@PirateKing69420 The Manticore will take flight if you bring in a single creature capable of flight - say a Wyvern. It's flight capabilities are part of what make the Dragon on the island so difficult (combined with it's percentage based burn damage). As such any ground based creature will do - Rexes are the common favorites, but the original citizens of Scorched Earth would have likely ridden a variety of creatures and come heavily armed.

it seems rushed because it was. Wild card was about to go bankrupt so they released it a bit early to make some sales. Ultimately scorched actually saved ark in a way

lore wise i assume each overseer runs its ark differently, the island has three guardians, a tek cave, and a direct confrontation with the overseer. whereas scorched earths overseer only had a single guardian, and instead tested survivors with harsh environments. i just wish we got more story Arks so we could see more variety in how true overseers operate there arks

The reason scorched earth doesn’t have a tek cave: I would lose my god damn mind if I ever have to play another map with a tek cave. I f*cking hate the island’s tek cave. It only exists to f*ck with you. No other reason! If the door was bigger so you could fit two rexes at once then I wouldn’t mind. But the biggest challenge of the tek cave is unironically that god damn door at the very start and fitting in as much tames as possible

perhaps us players cannot access the tek cave because Rockwell and Helena did something that caused the ark to deactivate it and the ark turned the manticore into the overseer of scorched earth letting us ascend without the cave

The overseer fight itself is jokes and you don’t need dinos for it, it’s just the tek cave, on official, you can’t fly or use grapples, though I think sinos work (don’t quote me on that)

This just annoyed me so much. Not the video. it just reminded me of the time a friend decided to cheat through it all on his server which I was playing on. He decided to go all god mode or whatever and started flying around and whenever he would go inside a cave I would get tp'd to him now to the part that annoyed me. He went to that one with the ark/earth history which tp'd me there with him and from what I remember we were now on some ship in space and he flew off ahead to go complete the game while I was freezing to death running behind him then he insta killed the bosses that spawned which gave me all the achievements for completing the game that I wanted to unlock naturally by actually doing them not being dragged along on a cheat run 😔

Ark is such a childish game. Have extraterrestrial habitats named “arks”, have a newfound alien substance named “element”, and advanced technology in the future named “Tek”. It’s like a 6 year old just found out about futuristic scenarios, and decide to make his own world, including silly monsters and dead prehistoric beasts.
