Fragment is the biggest issue on World's Edge if you ask me. Your choices are either land there and probably get third-partied into oblivion or land elsewhere (probably without your teammates since the TTV wannabes have no idea what the word "strategy" means) and probably not see another soul until the final Ring. This is the same problem that they had Loba blow up Skull Town over but for some reason nothing has been done about Fragment.

Love dome endings, probably my favorite other than maybe trials or the village under mirage voyage, but it is such a rough drop

I don't land Dome often, but when I do, there is rarely a team at stacks and a team at launch site, and even if there is a team at stacks then there is a solid 80% chance that there is a team at Maude which can cause the same pinch dynamic that you claim often happens at Dome, the only difference being is that stacks is alot easier to defend than Dome. Granted launch site may try to 4th party. Which is why you must keep an eye out, but your chances are alot better when you drop, loot fast, and pressure stacks to either die or move, at least from my experience of landing there scarcely over the years.

I will say, its a very fun area to play around in late game as Catalyst. Lots of doors, a good mix of tighter tunnels and a bit more open rooms, and because of its awful location chances are it's unlooted and nobody's there, making it quite easy to take height. Paired with Fuse and Bloodhound, you have a lot of control over how opponents need to approach you. Early game yeah it's pretty shite

The *only* reason I don't like landing at dome in scrims and POI Drafted tourneys, is because of it's *potential* distance from zone. Loot pool is the least of my concern early-game, as long as EVOs are available.

I love lava fissure. My favourite hot drop for ranked, cos your whole team can get a gun and gear up on one of the main buildings. Im talking about upper plat lobbies, so no ones dumb enough to specifically drop down

Day 1 player, still play, casual matches only, been landing at Dome every chance I've had with my squad of buddies since World's Edge was introduced. Know the place like the back of my hand, and murder everyone dumb enough to land with us. Dome is a place of familiarity, a house we must protect, if you will. Sheer grit and determination see us winning our matches when we do, not a bad start. It's all about how you play the game in the end, as you said.

As a landing POI it's true that it sucks but as an ending zone it looks really fun to be in.

Hey, such a lovely video. Let me share a few thoughts to boost the Algo. All comments are based on mostly ~Plat and some Dia Ranked experience. 1) Dome has to little loot compared to (for example) launchside. You will later talk about "Location", but its must be said that is is imo more valuable to have enough loot in a spot that is likely to be just yours compared to having TONS of loot in a POI that is most likely challenged. The beauty of Dome is that it allows you to "suit up" and move one better than a spot like Harvester that you mentioned, where you have less loot but even more teams landing. 2) Dome is to far away from everything. Well, what's the advantage to sit near everything? You argue that overlook is better, because it is more likely to sit next to zone from early on and that is true, but how much of an advantage is that really, or is it moreso that people are generally bad at rotating and reading the game? (Pros play a different game, lets keep them out of conversation) Dome might have to travel the furtherst but it also protected the best from 3rd-parties. You have Town/Maude as option one and the Launchside/Lava-syphon as option two to rotate through and if both places are (ever) overcrowded with camping teams, you can reasonably easy slip through either the loot-tunnel or.... just EVAC over these POIs. "Most spots will be filled up". Okay, this is whereI think Plat-Perspectives comes to matter. Lets look at each other and be hinest... we suck at this game. Most teams are willing to give uo their spots when they get a knock across the map. very few teams play any legends that can secure a building as most of us peak in a way so dumb and predictable, that you can scare away most teams without trying that hard. All this is less fun with zone in back, but you can easily manage that. And the zone closes gradually - you are never THAT surprised ny endzone. "Poor loot quality" Havent we established in the beginning that there isnt to little loot in Dome? You said yourself, that its a purple area. as long as not everybody needs to play Hemmy, you are fine @ Dome imo. On the rotation options: You show the "hard" baloon in front of the launchside, you show the fountain infront of the tunnel... I think teams are realy equiped to manage that rotation just fine. "Take no stupid fights" is really no advise against Dome imo. (Just seen your take on the Tower) Yeah, hahaha, I dont think Plat teams can do that from a distance.

dome is that place you move through if you need to recover, heal up and replenish some loot because no one really goes there

I can't help but chuckle a bit about the "leaving the poi" bit, because that's a part of being strategic in this game. It's also why players have to pay attention to where teams are landing while in the dropship, and (if they can keep track of it) how many teams are landing. So if I know a team is at Launch Site and a bunch of teams landed Maude city, taking a fight at Launch Site can be a good bet to pick up KP. Most players that land Lava Siphon and Maude City will more than likely be too busy fighting to third party. It's a better bet to take a proper 3v3 than it is to try and take a 3v6 or 3v9. Plus when zone pulls towards Dome, or in that weird little corner, it forces players to learn how to play around it. I've had endzones pull all around the rocks leading up to dome. It's a nightmare to fight through lol but it makes a player adaptable to the environments and situations they might find themselves in. For me, I like to land outer edge and work inwards. Mostly it makes it easier for me to spot all the teams dropping from the ship and figure out which side of the map will be less congested (you can normally predict how teams will rotate across the map based on where they're landing and where the zone is pulling) This entire video does make me laugh though lol I've never heard someone talk about Dome like this xD I've heard people complain about frag, but never dome.

I think the only time I’ll give done credit was between season 3-5 before launch site was added since the ring would end up heading there Plus that most ppl never used to loot it

I love how he forgets to mention you can get permanently stuck in the center lava puddles if you go over the railings Yes you can get out of if but your either taking a sheilds worth of damage and maybe more as for inexperienced players who think you can climb back over the railing you might as well just head to the respawn beacon

I agree on the Dome sentiment. Another bad design IMO is Checkpoint on Stormpoint. Once you fall down the main platform, you have to navigate either side to find stairs or zips just to get back if you don't have vertical movement abilities. That are is such a chore to be at when you're not a Horizon or a Pathfinder

You are not thinking about how other teams will move. If anyone lands at Launch Site or Stacks, they are not going to Dome. They are moving inward to one of the other POIs in the area. While they move in and inevitably start a conflict, you are there to 3rd party and thank them for bringing you all their best loot from those POIs. Also you didn't bring up the loot vault which is close and being relatively out of the way, you are usually free to take this. There is almost always a Replicator too. I do agree though the loot amount is low in Dome. I think you are just looking at face value and not looking at intangibles.

Wow I had no idea people hated this place. I actually kinda like it. It always felt like a safe place to drop and loot up, especially if one squadmate quit before drop. Not the best by any means, but I don't think it's a bad POI personally.

Oh and don't forget falling off the center thing and not playing Valk/Hzn/Path/Rev and then just being roasted to death bc WHERE THE HELL ARE THE CLIMBABLE WALLS HELP

Would maybe running a comp of conduit(conduit for in fight shield healing), lifeline (save health heals after a fight)and maybe valk for rotations combat the negatives from dome a bit?

I used to play with a caustic and a valk that always drop on dome and 95% of the time we won I missed those guys

With POI Draft system in Split 2 Dome was picked in EMEA Pro League...once. Just once in all game days, and it was left out for Finals. At least NA still respect it.

If anything, this supports how good of a game Respawn/EA made. The fact it’s this complex and balanced…

Trials is def the worst POI in WE, for ranked anyway. Since there is always 2 or more teams that land on Sky its suicide to split your team to loot both sky and trails So you'll be forced to pickup scraps from lava or countdown or 3rd party Sky And if they dont fight well.... tough luck Oh and no ring console or beacon
