With how Marvel tends to use the X-Men and seemingly keep them separate as a whole from other heroes...either have them actually Work Together and ya know, have character growth for the characters. Or throw All The X-Men characters, every mutant hero, villain and so on, into a separate universe and don't have them ever show up in crossovers with Avengers, F4 and so on. Cause that's what it feels like a lot of the times, they interact so little and when they do, it's more often than not, butting heads with each other. You might as well not even have them be on the same planet anymore. Also I'm just sick of the X-Men and their drama. Been what? 70 or so years of The X-Men dealing with the same shit over and over again and Nothing's changed or lasts? Why bother anymore with their stories, it's just recycled hatred of Mutants and NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Sorry, just tired of The X-Men's stories being recycled so often.

There's actually an in canon reason for that. There's a sentient virus that uses people as hosts, but mutants are naturally immune. So, to keep the mutant population low, it programed humans to hate mutants, just not all of them.

I think Marvel took umbrage against their own characters when Fox X-Men movies were making tons of money. Now that X-Men will join the MCU, they're resetting the books to jive with their movies. They did it to the Avengers and now it's the time of F4 and the children of the atom.

That's how I see it. Avengers are a world defense force, X-Men are more like covert special forces and get much less widespread world-ending action than Avengers.

@@aubreyyoung4610 that's cool if u look at it from that aspect but in regards to their characters from the comics I've read the avengers since they are held in high regard by the public and the mutants aren't so by default the avengers try to take a politically correct standpoint by siding the people Tony and cap always get pissed whenever the X-Men stop a world threat which most times half of their villains are world threats -whenever there is a mission where the X-Men and the avengers have to work together,even if it's the xmens villain or they have more experience fighting such threats , cap and tony still try to assume leadership and Scott ain't a pushover -when mastermold attacked in the comics the avengers were basically like we Kno u are an oppressed group and it's morally right to help u but we can't be seen helping you so... -when Scarlett witch casted a spell that made humans love mutants,the avengers forced her to undo it and when she casted a spell that wiped out the mutants (which is more than quarter the earths populace) leaving the rest deformed the avengers knew and still did nothing and when they found out it affected the universe cos the x gene was earths way of advancing humanity cos regular humans would go extinct without the mutants to continue humanity guess who we're doing there all trying to fix it?...not the avengers . when it comes to the grand story yeah it's just villains but deep in it it's a culmination of different things cos I don't understand how a powered minority is being oppressed in your universe but they all actively try to piss em off even reed Richards and the fantastic 4 were not on the avengers side in these events

The problem is that the X Men do work so far out of the law while still trying to tell the world they are legitimate and should be recognized. It's like a mob family. They have legitimate fronts but will break any laws to get their way. The Avengers are the Police abd the hope of the whole world and not just mutant kind like the X Men are. In the Last 2 episodes the Avengers Must respond to what is happening! Seeing as everything is pointing to the X Men, the Avengers will have to fight them.

The only problem with that is that the avengers are America's poster child and when the government starts making sentinels the avengers should step in and stop that but they worry more about thier image and not upsetting the government lol they need to come out publicly and show support in the media and in person not just when there's a world altering event lol small things matter more for mutants

That's not true because both stories are already off the rails because of spin-offs, soft reboots, etc. Too often writers just go and do their own thing then forget that same character was seen doing something else in another person's comic.

A good storyline would make this more cynical. Have Tony Stark intentionally decide to play the mutants against each other so they're all less of a threat to the world. The X-Men figure this out pretty quick and despise the Avengers. The Avengers can further justify this by claiming most of the mutants are new and inexperienced, making them reckless and causing more problems than they solve, even though they're the good guys.

Just say the only thing you know about Tony in the comics is surface level Civil War through reels, because even Civil War had him joining the Registration Act because he knew the alternative was evil and he wanted to keep the goverment in check. The problem is they're now bogged down because so many crossovers happened. You just can't be like "oh they don't interact" Yet you see them in an issue doing just that. Either they're not connected at all or they are. No popping up when Avenger and X-Men been having "world ending" events. Hell, even Spider-Man been involved in a lot of them. Due to the Symbiotes. Often times Hulk has to be removed for their stories to work... This is why Heroes normally patrolled their own area it's why Daredevil and Punisher are better in smaller storylines.

That kind of shows one of the big issues, doesn’t it? Wakanda as a country has rarely ever been anti mutant. Heck, Gentle is from there and his powers were aided by the vibranium on his body. Unfortunately, the majority of the Avengers are US citizens and employed by Shield which, especially with the MCU, is basically Team America World Police. And the X men often go against the government.

Since Deadpool is aligning the narrative, my headcanon if something to the effect of a FOX version of the Avengers going out against first the Sentinels and then eventually Apocalypse, but not Mr. Ooze though lmao.

They had Henry Gyrich transferred from an American prison to a Mexican one in their Capitol to obstruct the investigation into Trask and the Sentinels. Cap wants to avoid an international incident by going through proper channels and Rogue takes that as dragging his feet. I think it's a trap to make the X Men look like outlaws to the public

It’s actually much easier to pull the X-Men into an Avengers thing than to pull the Avengers into an X-Men thing. Because the X-Men can still be a fighting force if you need them to. But involving the Avengers in socio-political stuff is trickier.

There was also the Post "House of M" aftermath where dozens of former mutants were killed exiting the school and in an attack immediately after, then were systematically attacked all the way until Avengers vs X-Men, an era that saw several attempts at complete eradication. The Avenger's response was to try to get them to join the civil war, on Tony's side.

Because those are easy villains to take care of lol the x-men have legit villains that actually require more effort 😂

On average the x-men teams are much much larger. At any given time there are usually 13-15 ongoing x-men titles of some kind compared to 6-10 avengers books.

@@jamesjoe1690 I just brought up what a friend of mine once said when we were discussing this topic long ago. I don’t share it but I understand where they going for but I think it also works the other way around. On a forgotten online post, someone commented that the x-men and the avengers shouldn’t get involved in each other’s business. That person commented that if the x-men had left the avengers deal with the scarlet witch without them interfering then M-day wouldn’t have happened and that the avengers shouldn’t have interfere with hope summers and the phoenix. I don’t want to thrash on either teams but the x-men should be able to recognize when other heroes genuinely care and want to help and the avengers should be more conscious of what mutants go through on a daily basis. Am not saying all members are like that but some of them are.

I think most people want to see that because everyone seems to hate Brie Larson. Seeing her character get destroyed in a movie would be worth seeing.

Yeah, its part of the larger problem of (unlike us who know the reasons superheros have powers) why SOME heros are hated for being "mutants" while others loved still have weird freaky powers.

To be fair, comics don’t usually focus on superheroes voting, writing articles or attending political rallies. They focus on . . . y’know . . . fighting. Ir at least their love lives.
