The environment agency can't even stop flooding. Plastic pellets are way down the list. Is there any money to be made? If so they'd be interested......
Omg I can't believe how unprofessional that so-called manager handled that situation and how he doesn't care about the environment, I will now be writing to the environment agency. Keep up the good work, DJ.
Your concerns for wildlife "definitely won't have gone unnoticed" that's for sure!! And in addition is a reminder as to why this type of audit is "Absolutely Vital"!!!
If the area was bunded it wouldn't be a problem. One of the publics biggest problem is the Environment agency, lazy no good assholes!!, again paid for by the tax payer so parasites. Tried to get a local branch of the environment agency to get something cleaned up & all they did was "Bleat" about being understaffed!! They should of never got permission to store those pellets like that if the Environment agency did their job!
I worked for one of these places and the mess was horrendous. Plastic pips everywhere the eye could see. But that was nothing compared to inside the factory. Very old machines that constantly jammed. Workers were expected and allowed to climb into running machines to unjam them. The whole place was an OH&S nightmare and one of the 'supervisors' almost lost his hand in the back of a machine. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. The attitude about something small and simple is indicative of the attitude about more serious matters.
Watch till the end this company is a joke and should be ashamed not only how they treat the public but how they don't care for the environment. Dj can be hard work but this time he's spot on
I've reported them to the environment Agency and sent a copy of this video to them, I hope you do a return visit in a few weeks to see if they've been made to get their shit together.
Lose the dummies DJ. You don’t have to give dummies to people that act like dummies. In my opinion you have the best auditing channel in the UK and the way things are going, you’re going to run out of key rings.
Agree the dummies will hust cause aggro and make it look like he's attempting to bait them I much prefer the vids like the beginning of this one where he points out the faults that need addressing then comforts the company with them to get them fixed
These people/firms really get me worked up. Their attitude to plastic polution is pathetic. They should be made aware of their enviromental resposibilites. I have sent an email to the environment agency regarding this situation, with a link to your video. I hope they are made to clean up, and improve their attitude when dealing with members of the public.
Way to go DJ. The sooner these companies realise the impact they're having on the entire world, let alone their own area, the sooner we can ALL start cleaning up. Pollution, especially from the plastics industry, is a worldwide problem. One that can be halted in its tracks if everyone who uses plastics in their manufacturing took better care of storage, clean-up, and disposal. It's not like it's a new problem. I'm 63 and have been warning anyone who'd listen about the impact plastics could have on the environment in the future since the 70s. It's one of the few things I've always known I was right about but am not happy to be so. Plastic in our lives, like oil, is a fait accompli, I get that. More attention to HOW we use it is vital. Simple practices, done by EVERYBODY, is the greatest start we can make. DJ, I salute you for doing your part. 🖖
I didn't appreciate some of your earlier videos with other auditors, because they used to let you down with their approaches, and I'm glad to see you've stopped those collabs now. But like it or not, this guy is right - your approach is more confrontational than you might think. In my opinion, you'd benefit from a consistent approach when asked the common opening questions such as "who are you?" (just say you're a member of the public) and "what are you doing?" (just say you're making a video about the business). The next usual question is "ok, but why?" (just say because xyz concerns/interests me, and I as I said, I'm just making a video about it). I appreciate you have your own approach, but sometimes your assertiveness in pushing back doesn't have the desired effect. Unless the desired effect is just to provoke people - but I thought that's what set your channel apart from the others you've disassociated yourself with. I'm sure people that watch your videos for provoked confrontation won't agree with my opinion. But I don't think you should invite it. If it comes, let it come. Don't invite it.
Very well said indeed Alasdair I completely agree with your observations and the points you make I personally believe that DJ is deliberately hoping for some kind of confrontation to happen in his videos because that way he will make more money because he will get more views and therefore under the RU-vid Monetisation business model he will earn more money from RU-vid Confrontation can be a very dangerous game to play especially if your the one inciting it in the first place DJ, don't be fooled into thinking that you have FULL control over a confrontation because you DONT, you only ever have 50% control because you can never be sure what the other person may do and remember DJ its YOU that gets DECKED and not your RU-vid viewers so ask yourself the question is it really worth it ? If your mature enough then the answer should always come back NO, Your health is more important than wealth since you can't make money if you are unable too......common sense tells you that.
@@ieatthighs If that is all you can do find fault with 2 MINOR grammatical errors then you must be a VERY SAD PERSON INDEED here is a tip for you.........GET A LIFE!!!!!!! By the way you are only correct on 2 of the 3 points you pulled me up for, the English language has more than one meaning for certain words and it all depends on the context in which it is written, maybe you should take a look at your OWN MISTAKES. For what its worth thankyou for pointing out the 2 grammar mistakes you are absolutely right and in the rush for me to write my reply I made 2 mistakes which you pointed out so while I do not agree with your so called 3 mistakes I do acknowledge that 2 of them were wrong.
Here we go Spitting their dummy’s out. Good for you standing up for your rights. I know not everything in this world is allowed but what you are doing is not illegal and allowed. I get sick and tired of hearing not allowed you need permission it’s a private site. They do not own the air space . Photography is not a crime either. Good vid.
11:01 plastic waste looks like swarf from a Lathe, which can produce long stringy waste depending on type of plastic or machining technique, some plastic will not break up into small pieces eg Nylon however plastics such as acetal can be ‘chipped’ on the machine resulting in more manageable waste and generally faster machining times and better heat transfer into the swarf not the part. In more detail providing a high enough ‘ feed rate(tool movement speed)/rpm (rev per minute) x depth of cut ratio’ will allow the plastic to chip, too high a ratio plastic will get hot and distort or even sometimes melt and too low of a ratio will create long stringy mess which can be dangerous to deal with not to mention that wildlife could easily get stuck in these open waste containers and not be able to get out! Another great video by DJ dude kills it every time 👌
Great job DJ, this kind of thing needs highlighted. The attitude of the employees is disgusting and I can’t imagine the directors been happy with this as it’s them that takes the hit if there’s a fine. ✊🏻
@@petertripp3153 I could almost say the same to yourself….I don’t work for a company and haven’t for over 15yrs, I have my own company so I’ll tell you what happens when companies get big like the one in the video. You get Directors that are actively involved with the daily running where this wouldn’t happen or you get Directors that aren’t but have a set of rules to follow about clean up but staff don’t take because their just after a wage or Directors and staff that just don’t care at all. Comments like mine and all below are only made because the actions on this company no one else’s
Well done DJ and thank you for highlighting the problems caused by this company not giving a damn. They all need a dummy...oops my mistake, they already have lots of them working there 👍
Well done on highlighting a real problem with plastic waste. I personally think these companies really need to clean up their act and educate themselves and their staff. I’ve volunteered for clean up operations for wildlife and it’s incredible of man’s ignorance to the problem. I found your video extremely entertaining and also informative. I popped by because I’m looking at buying a drone for my railway photography and videos. All the best and good luck to you with future filming. If you ever visit the southwest,I’ll say hello. Andy
Absolutely horrendous. I'm so glad you're highlighting this. It's incredible how little regard they have for the environment. I hope they get a fine for this 😡
The amount of Fear, Paranoia and Entitlement in today's society is unprecedented, this has all been installed from the very top down, The government. The courts. The police. and big corporation, are all compliant in it's install and should be held responsible. The people have forgotten their human rights and need to claim them back! Those that live in fear are easier to control. Keep standing up for our rights DJ and the other Auditors, and thank you for providing the service you all do.
OMFG what a utter and disgrace from each and everyone that spoke to you DJ, that manager attitude really stinks and quite clearly DON''T care about the damage these plastic pellets cause to wildlife and water ways. As for that one that was aggressive I don't know if he got any learning disability but he certainly shouldn't behave the way he did. The bloke who said you can't fly your drone and he knows because he's a drone pilot himself ( the amount of times I have heard that, not just on your audits but on other auditors videos too ) if they are a fully qualified drone pilot then they should know the rules on a sub 250 g ( 249 g ) drones. Than I thought their company couldn't get any worst but then I noticed the bloke who threw his fag end on the floor was in fact was a fire marshal wtf ? he should know himself throwing them on the floor and not disposing them properly in the bins provided close to him is still a fire risk and a danger to wildlife thinking its food. I seriously hope this video is sent to the correct channels and relevant authorities and the owner /bosses of Langstone plastics. The place isn't a massive place so there's NO excuses for the pellets to be scattered on the floor the way it was. I hope this place is revisited in the near future either by yourself or a different auditor to see if they have cleaned the pellets up. Lastly omg DJ I thought your audits couldn't get any better but its gone up another level when you pulled out those dummies and asked them what colour they wanted....pure class DJ absolutely brilliant. pmsl
@@DJAUDITS Thanks DJ,tell you what I am still buzzing from finally getting one of your key rings from the first Lincoln visit last week that you did lol.
@sci_ent_ificsui_neg9236 Have to agree, it doesn't do anything to calm the situation. DJ normally holds the moral ground by being professional during confrontations. Giving them a baby pacifier is only going to wind them up more. He doesn't need to do that.
@sci_ent_ificsui_neg9236I get your sentiment, but it’s not in the workers remit to go challenge people who are outside of the premises on public land. That’s a job for security or a manager if they so wish. Walking in the shoes of workers should mean just getting on with the job they’re paid to do, that’s all.
To be fair to those guys, it's not really their fault, if their company director Philip Alexander Lanni challenged them on the spillages during site visits, then they would see it as a priority, obviously he does not do that, but as a director to three other companies, he's obviously a very busy man. Hygiene standards are driven from the top downwards.
I feel the Environmental Agency should bare some of the responsibility, they are paid from the public purse to police these companies and do virtually F-All to stop them from polluting the country. It shouldn't be left to auditors like DJ to bring this to their attention. I live in Bedworth and will be checking next week if this site has been cleaned up satisfactorily and if not will be contacting the local MP to raise the issue to whosever responsible.
So much to mention here. First of all it’s so annoying to see all those plastic pellets just left strew around. Then the attitude of the manager or supervisor saying “ I don’t care “ Then the attitude of John one of the staff coming at you. I’ve already left a voicemail message telling them I’ll be checking on their promises in 3 days time and if they haven’t cleared it all up I will be making an official complaint to environmental health. Well done for highlighting this
That was extremely funny & entertaining DJ Audits with the staff members that don’t have a clue regarding the laws on audits & drone flying & plastics potentially entering the the waterways of this great country we live in. I’ve been listening to your content for around a year & it’s the first time I realised you carried a packet of baby’s dummy’s as that really did make me chuckle 🤭. I hope you go to town with those idiots & get them reported to the relevant authorities Pal. Keep up the good work DJ we love your content Pal. 👍👍
Hi DJ i found your channel whilst in hospital having knee surgery and its been a great distraction from the pain especially at night. I'm trying to watch some of your older ones to see if you've already been to my area and ive missed out on a keyring but tbh im not able to rush out atm! I did message on an older video but i realised you probably wouldn't see the message but may on the latest. Thanks for doing what you do its great.
Your tag line is or was "Auditing done differently", what you highlight is right and I support and enjoy what you do, but with comments like "get back to work", its usually you telling them that they cannot tell you what you can and can't do, but with comments like that its now you trying to tell other people what to do
🤣🤣I was looking in the drone footage for the hole in the ground where 'John', the half-man half-lizard who tried to attack you, lives. Great work as always DJ, thank you.
Great video @DJ Audits. The issues you raised are of course 100% valid. The hazards are real. The company is wholly responsible. The staff members’ reactions are extremely concerning. Their ridiculous claims about your behaviour were of course totally invalid - nothing but the pathetic projections of scumbags. That one was ready to get violent. The dummy bit at the end was pure genius and absolutely appropriate. But be careful mate. One day you could meet a real nutcase with no one to tug their leash. Peace
Loving the fact that you damaged the 'might' of that manager before his very workers. Gone is the respect he had from staff and in it's place they'll laugh. It serves him right for that disgraceful messy yard. Really surprised the raw stock is stored in an open car park and not beneath a roof of sorts.
That is a disgraceful attitude from a manager of a business that is damaging the environment! I bet the company talks a good game and this proves that businesses greenwash! The company should be reported and heavily fined!
Huge thanks for this video DJ Audits spreading awareness on enviroment problems from this company, I would be proud to stand with you supporting you when you are that enviromentaly friendly, Top Marks huge round of applause, Keep up the good work DJ.👏 stay safe 🙏💪
Bloody hell that’s terrible. I work at a plastic factory here in Australia 🇦🇺 and it is totally clean in and out. If any spillage happens it gets cleaned up straight away. No excuse. Good job mate 👍👍
Good Audit DJ of that shocking company. Highlighted the poor state of the yard and lack of cleaning , the rude staff and the numpty of a manager who didn't seem to be bothered about anything..... If I was the CEO of that company I would definitely be asking to speak with all of those employees and maybe suggesting they work elsewhere as they obviously don't care about the job or cleanliness / safety at their work place but are still happy to be paid while skivving .
We you point out a genuine issue they always get defensive. This is a serious issue but their attitude is disgusting. I expect a response from the company. 🙌💚❤️💜💜
Step to far DJ, you really show your true colours pulling out dummies when you clearly provoked them and used your "get back to work" rubbish. If this was such a serious issue to you, talk to them normally and you would get engagement back, doing what you are doing causes barriers. Very poor on DJ, showing your not about environment but out making money.
New subscriber here, funnily enough Bermuda Park was my old stomping ground, working at Dairy Crest (now Saputo). Recently acquired a drone myself, although I'm more into old railways and scenery. Great video and keep up the good work for our rights
It’s a very well put together video pointing out about plastic pellets entering the wild life food chain I hope this company dose get some sort of warning or taken to court over this Wedone dj audits
