Bruh I don’t understand why they nerfed Petra’s hp so god damn much. I remember the days when you can tank hits from a juvie carno to get the kill. Now it can’t even stand 3 bites from a juvie herra.

Ptera is at the bottom of the food chain, and it got crashed by the chain itself. At this point I'm surprised the damn Elite fish don't jump out of the water and eat you, like deinos do. This thing exists to suffer

There is every other people complaining that ptera is only a pain and cannot be played. And there is me, who play almost exclusively ptera because I love the gameplay and be an oportunist mad evil seagull is so fun xD

I play ptera frequently, and it's better in the horde test. But it is more of a "chill" playable. You can't attack any dino that jumps, which is all but a couple, and of course, you don't do much damage. I still love it, though. Hope they add more flyers at some point. However, they really, really need to cut the stam regen time since it takes stam to do every little thing with ptera. Oh, and night vision... Som problems, lol.

West Access is such a sad spawn for ptera... that little pond *can* spawn fish and frogs, but it usually takes 10-30 minutes of waiting. That area with turtles is THE BEST spot on the map for sea turtles. Can often find them already there when I arrive... the only downside is a fresh-spawn ptera may starve in the time it takes to kill a turtle

Should totally make a series into videos like this! Could showcase all the pros and cons of each dino

I think they should make the night vision completely different for Ptera, Dilo and Troodon, in my opinion they should be able to see much further and also see colors, to the point that night time barely effects their vision.

The flying animation is so wierd in the isle. Lol

Pteranodon is one of my favorite animals. It can fly! It can scavenge, baby snipe and harass. It offers some of the best views in the Isle.

Haven't watched the video quite yet, but I wanted to re-suggest a video in first person from the dinosaur's perspective. Total immersion, like "I fought for my life, as the carno ripped into my tail", and maybe even present tense, too. I think it could be cool! Possibly fun to make too?

Also, do you think the hordetest might fix pteras night vision, at least when (I think) they change the nighttime brightness?

i guess ive just played it enough to feel comfortable with it. But I do kinda-of get it why its so bad, its the guinea pig for testing on the upcoming terror Quetz...and imagine that thing flying around snatching juvi players from the ground without any warning lol

Skill issue. Most people complaining about Ptera just suck at it. I'm a Ptera main and have no problem managing stamina, and I've also learned to navigate the island at night purely by scent and compass. You can snatch frogs from the air just like fish, no need to land. Only ascending & taking off uses stamina. So don't HOLD spacebar, just tap it occasionally and you can travel very very far. You're also faster than a Gallimimus. Just fall off from trees or cliffs and open your wings, uses 0 stamina. A good Ptera is impossible to kill, the only thing that can get us is a random Herrera climbing on a tree you're afking on. I know a lot of safe drinking spots so I never get caught by croc, and we get to peck Dilos/Carnos/Ceratos with impunity because they can't jump. Ptera will only die by your own mistakes. Skill issue.

Because it sucks. That's why.
