He doesm.t imply that you can tank your whole hp while w is up. He means you keep it for when u are below like 40% and u use it then to have the safety net for R
I've never considered mundo to be very difficult or skill-dependent for complexity reasons, but rather early weakness and lack of cc. Like, he's a champion that could theoretically bring the damage of a juggernaut and endure direct damage as hard as a true tank, but lacks something each class has. Still, i can see how combos like these can make him fun or intriguing to master. Much like how several champions out now with essays worth of text or skillshots dont automatically translate to being difficult or complex. So i welcome the love for champs like Mundo here
Idk, Mundo has a lot of early poke damage and gets quite tanky later on. He's perfectly fine as a regular juggernaut, the only reason for why he can't really be a tank, as you said it, is his lack of CC
@@tamas9554but he shouldn’t be a tank, that is not his main purpose. Mundo is a late game champ that can push and deal high damage to towers, at the late game it’s gonna be really hard for any champion to kill him alone so everytime he split-pushes at least 2 champions have to deal with him at the same time. Even though he doesn’t have CC, he has CC immunity on his passive, this makes some abilities completely worthless, for example: Asol R, Sett E (idk about his R), Darius E, Renekton W and etc.
@@tamas9554 hes not a tank. he is a juggernaut that lives to his "going wherever he pleases" fantasy by making sure the enemy has to blow multiple cc abilities on him and step on his canister to prevent him from doing it again other champions are stat stick by poor design but mundo is unapologetically a stat stick. he stays there hugging your backline as he ignores your vi's knockup or ashe's ult
To put simply, in a teamfight, press w to turn all that damage into gray health, and press R when your low, THEN recast W to heal that damage so you don't instantly die. Cool Mechanic 👍
Remember, 90% of mundo's kit either can auto reset or has a cast time nearly the same as his auto cooldown. Time your buttons well and this guy can burst pretty much everything that isn't an armor-stacking tank.
People often forgets that his E also has a damage amp of 40% based on Mundo's lost health, so if you time your ult, W and E properly you will get a ton of bonus health, burst negation and more damage on E.
do a "how to beat" for every champion and you will own the ladder. the format of your videos is perfect. If you can fit short videos resembling the exact example you're talking about consistently it will be a bonus
He’s low key fun as hell. He’s worth taking the time and learning the match ups. The feeling you get fisting ADC’s in team fights NEVER gets old. His W is the tricky-est part of his kit. Thanks for the video. Maybe throwing out a standard build path at the last second in the video would be OP
Pre rework Mundo was my first true main champion in league. I kind off miss his old kit when he could go jungle thanks to his W being toggle ability and his ukt regenrating 110% over 15 seconds duration and not 60% so he could literally outheal 5 champions damage late game lmao.
It’s still risky to do, if the enemy has hard CC and your passive isn’t enough (like an Ornn full combo, or Zac) you can easily die while being CC chained before you even get to press ult.
He has some optimizations that make him somewhat skilled but ultimately his gameplay comes down to running at people and statchecking them 90% of the times.
There's a complexity to every champion's kit. But for Mundo, it just boils down to, "Auto enemy champion and doesn't let them run away, then press R when low". Even if a lot is happening in the background, it doesn't show in gameplay.
I was expecting some hyperbole Irony and a lot of Mockery like any other League content creator but i must that say it was very interesting and indepth
Another tip, there are some desperate moments where you know you are going to be 1 shotted down by whole team from multiple cc or high burst dmg when low health but not quite enough for ult. In those kind of moments where you know you will die if you don’t use the ult when you aren’t low enough, remember that Mundo abilities costs health, especially W. So you can quickly do something like wr+ or q+w+r to reduce your current health with abilities and heal back up. Compared to method used in video, you might not make full use of ult but it is better to pop it, than drop it. So when you don’t have better option, you can do that to improve it at least a tiny bit at least
Mundo is stat checking but also intensive decision making. Pressing R wrong time might not help you, and pressing W wrong time will make you die faster.
Amazing, now this is the kind of League content I always wanted. Will you do more of the champion counter videos? There's a lot of material there, specially for toplane as it's the lane where item and ability interactions appear to matter the most.
It only does a 80% hp refund at the first 0.75 sec at early game (lv 3), which made him Fiora W level skill require, but more tricky, as it doesnt reward you a cc, plus how much it could store based on how much health you have. It sounds a lot but actually it just do an instant of dmg absorbtion, like 1 second huge hp regain. I saw most challenger Mundo player just use W to trade (recast it after 0.5 sec) Value maximization not necessarily means higher score
he falls off hard, not very good in the meta, only useful if you give him kills early, so respect him A LOT and just outscale, almost all champs outscale him
If you pick after renekton, just go any toplane tank and he won't be able to do anything really. Especially vs Malphite. If you pick first and he counterpicks you(so you play something more like Camille, Riven etc.) You have a couple of options you can do to make your laning phase safe enough to not feed so you can outscale him: 1. Take bone plating rune and plan your trades around it being off cooldown. His W dmg becomes useless if he uses it on your bone plating keep in mind that he will probably try to poke it down with his Q. If he does that when his fury bar isn't red(after he uses the Q tho), you can force a trade and probably win it, he can't really trade without fury. 2. Build plated steelcaps for even bigger W dmg reduction. Remember that his W is his main dmg tool in early game. 3. Renekton has built in armor shred if he uses empowered E on you and he can actually build Black cleaver first if he notices you try to stack armor vs him. His ult dmg is also magical so armor is useless vs it. At the same time he doesn't have any built in %max HP dmg and Bork %HP dmg got nerfed on a previous patch(Renekton also prefers to go eclipse onstead of Bork nowadays). It means that building bonus HP is a bit more valuable vs him than building armor. 4. Renekton can't really long fight anybody before lvl 6, so even if he counterpicks you, you should win an all in pre 6 as long as both of you start the fight at 100% HP. 5. If you want to get antiheal vs him(it's quite good because his Q healing is very strong early game) you should prefer executioner's calling rather than bramble vest because he can just use his Q before he uses W or any auto attacks so bramble vest won't reduce any healing(especially that Q healing isn't based on the dmg dealt so armor also won't reduce it). Of course executioners calling only if you play a bruiser. If you play tank, bramble vest is still your go to item because tanks can't really utilize the AD from the yellow sword. 6. In later stages of the game Death's dance is a great item vs him assuming that you have self sustain yourself. 7. Renekton usually builds tons of bonus HP and not many armor, meaning that if you play a champ that can utilize Bork, it will be a great item to counter him. 8. If he is ahead/even after level 6, try to bait out his ult without comitting for an all in because you can't really beat him in his ulti unless you are Mordekaiser/Darius/Sett(which are counterpicks to him anyways).
mundo is the best jauggernaut in the game, equal to darius garen, he automatically wins when enemies dont have %max hp damage, mixed damage team combs dont matter because of the healing, he bursts on melee range he can reach people with Q he can have amazing dps with sunfire, he doeant get cced late game he heals massive amounts during R the only down side on his kit is that he needs items to work and can fall off if behind
As a Mundo player you forgot to say about another Mundo dilemma his R gives little bit of ms but most of the time its worth too use your ult early for chasing weak players and hes horrendously weak early game
Its strange how his W can be almost full heal)80%-95%) if timed properly or it can heal almost nothing(25%) if used 0,25s too early it gets even worse if he cant get close to an enemy champion (12,5%) and if the enemy has grievous wounds (7,5%) from 80% to 7,5% its crazy
Great video as always, can you please tell us how to counter akali? This abomination is constantly wiping my team out, and it looks like I can never actually catch her.
If I'm on your team does that mean I get to give you tips on what videos to make? I feel like a how to counter gwen video would be right up my alley since she's one of my main champions.
dont know what is big brain on 8000 hp mundo with 700 ad WITH SUNDERER AND E .... and bonus ad from R and blood mail yeah ... andhe still gets no damage cuz of his high hp regen (Antiheal is really working here trust)
hey i know you don't do content like this but could you do somthing that can help me climb, i'm a new player (been playing for 3 months) and i'm stuck at gold 4 with vladimir and veigar but i don't feel like a huge 1v5 mid lane and my winrate isn't that good. 55%
