Yep, and now Kendrick has beaten Drake in streams, and gained 2 million subscribers in the span of a week. Go look it up, Kendrick has crushed most of Drake's old records, which we know Drake botted to attain.
Drake is like food from McDonald's- easily digestible, palatable to a wide market and mass produced. Drake isn't a person, he's a character, a corporate product...
Big facts. They usurp energy from empaths, it’s like intrigue and disdain at the same time. Like they secretly admire the empath (usually expressed as envy b/c they’re too prideful to admit it) because they have what the narc doesn’t. But inherently they feel they must destroy it. So weird….and if they’re not successful in destroying the empath, the narc can become their greatest inspiration to do great things in life.
Did it? K3ndrick obsessed with Drake h3 started this shit. And he ain't the best I can find k3ndrick 20 times on the East coast. Everything that's Pro black, blm, black panther from the west coast gets way overhyped.
Yep and he is just salty about it on the Drake Toosie Slide music video at 38 seconds you can see he has a cabinet in his just for the Grammys he won. So he does care about it and is just mad he doesn't have more so him and his fans just downplay it
Thats crazzzyyyy because I typed "Drake won" in youtube and nothing but "Drake lost" came up save for a couple videos with 2k views saying he won@@007Dirtysouth
The funny thing is on that Drake Toosie Slide music video if you go to 38 seconds into it you can see Drake has a cabinet for the Grammys he did win. So despite him or his fans trying to say the Grammys aren't valid he is in reality just upset that the below average music he releases now isn't going to win one.
He did not quit. He said your fans are GETTING some raps outta you. Not your fans GOT some raps outta you. Drake expects a response and if he don't he loses just like lost to Pusha. Lmao yall move goal post and streaming doesn't win battles. Stream data never mattered to yall before GTF. Example. Drake drops charged up then B2B. Meek responds. Drake drops Summer Sixteen to stop Meek responding. Heart pt 6 was not a miss and Kendrick knows this. He has to STOP DRAKE OR MAKE HIM MISS. Drake said in Family matters You mentioned my son now deal with his Dad. Kenny dropped Grahms and said Dear Adonis right after. The first time he mentioned him. Lmao there was a mole and Drake used Kendricks mole to play on his accountability.
Drake stans are obsessed with saying Drake "put Kendrick on" just because he took him on tour with him 🙄. As if Kendrick wasn't already moving heavy on his own. BEFORE Drake asked him to join his tour, Kendrick was on stage with Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Game and Kurupt. Snoop Dogg took the mic to let the west coast know Kendrick is the future and passed him the crown. He was talked about in the LA Times, Billboard, Complex, and they talked about the passing of the torch on all the hip hop blogs. He also got the nod from Eminem and 50 Cent. I PROMISE after co-signs like that, K. Dot didn't need Aubrey 😂. He asked KENDRICK to join the tour, not the other way around. We know Drake has a history of jumping on the next up artist and using them/collaborating with them on his new projects, plus he was still seeking approval and validation from the hip hop community. You're buggin if you don't think Drake saw an opportunity for that with Dot. He knew it would be a good look if he aligned himself with this new artist who just got this major cosign from the OGs. It's delusional trying to give Drake credit for Kendrick’s career 😂
@@sam2stu that mf wasn’t “Champagne Papi” back then 😂 he was still Take Care sensitive Drake, aka Lil Aubrey aka Wheelchair Jimmy. He needed Dot on his tour to get the west coast OGs.
Yet having hits and people actually listening to your music has always mattered. It’s just another form of battling. It’s funny though that Kendrick fans/stans use this argument but their hero makes songs with Taylor Swift and Maroon 5.
Exposing him for what!? 😂 a made up story plus getting baited into rapping false information? Sounds more like Drake doing the exposing here. Stay in denial buddy😂
I think it eats at Drake that he turned his back on lyrical hip-hop, only for Kendrick to excel at it. That’s always been the knock against real lyrical shit, it’s not mainstream. Some exceptions, of course, but for the most part it’s not doing record breaking numbers. Kendrick does. And now that he has the ghostwriting thing over his head, Drake will never be able to dethrone Kendrick in that regard.
He’s literally dethroning Kendrick. With MMABS Kendrick was supposed to sell 500k and just did half of that. Meanwhile drake did 600k not even on hiatus
@@SS-wd5sgagain the previous comment is about quality of music not sales. Sales for all rappers went down after 2018. 300-400K is the new 600K. We always expect Drake to sell the most, he’s the most popular rapper but if we talking about quality, Kendrick has outdone Drake, esp his last 3 albums
@@mindworm7689 according to the discography drake is listed as one of the writers for every song except "Buried Alive Interlude" which was written by Kendrick. Take Care is undeniably an amazing album. It is more R&B than Hip-Hop sure but amazing nonetheless. Many artists use songs written by others. Ghostwriting is plagiarism and certainly bad practice, but that does not seem the case for Take Care.
@@rajuramlallnope, it’s already been exposed that The Weeknd, if I’m remembering correctly, wrote 4-5 of the songs, they were supposed the best The Weeknd songs that he gave to him.
@@mocapcow2933 yeah the weekend gave drake damn near his whole album just because he was excited about working with drake, WITHOUT the weekend, take care would NOT have sounded like that from top to bottom. If you take out the weekend's influence, the take care niggas know and love would be nothing. So SHOUTOUT TO ABEL!!!!
Drake is bothered that he can't reach the black community like Kendrick can. Kendrick has been through it all like every black person and he puts his songs of every struggle in a box where we know exactly what he is talking about.l and we feel it. Drake already had that good life before rapping like Degrassi and living in Canada with a good family and all. Kendrick lived in Compton and rapped his way out of it. Drake wishes he can rap about stuff Kendrick does but he cant.
Drake should realise that dudes struggling in the hood isnt the only way to touch peoples hearts. He doesn't have to be a "hood tough" he can display strength in other things
@@TheRealDarth_VaderDrake is ONLY as famous as he is because he embraced the “hood side”. He’s a biracial Jewish man that knows it’s easier to get acceptance from Black people. Not to mention, majority of biracial men who are mixed with Black are seen as weak & soft (which Drake has been accused of in his career) so, he’s ALWAYS been cosplaying like he’s from the hood. What’s more “hood” than getting a stripper pregnant, having a child out of wedlock and wearing cornrows 😂
You are crazy tpab and mr morale are black albums for WHITE people. Kendrick lamar reached his newest heights when white people started acting like he was martin Luther king
That last clip of drake saying people going away for 3 to 5 years is funny when you realise there’s rumours he has to release at least 2 albums every year on his contract. He doesn’t have the freedom Dot has and it’s almost as if he envy’s KDot for that
Drake is obsessed with kendrick because every step of Kendrick's career made him jealous and resentful, it's a matter of maturity and entitlement. He genuinely believes that Kendrick crossed a line with the control verse after he let him do an interlude on Take Care, and has prayed on his downfall ever since. Instead of seeing Kendricks downfall, he had to witness him drop To Pimp A Butterfly, one of the most critically acclaimed and celebrated hip hop albums. After Views, he had to witness Kendrick drop Damn. After Scorpion he thought he had the game fully on lock due to Kendrick's silence, but then MMaTBS came out, sold well for a 5 year break and was more critically acclaimed than Drake's last few albums. All Drake can do is cling to his stream numbers and billboard hits because the more Kendrick accomplished, the more he moved his goalposts. First it was "bodies of works" and all the sudden Kendrick has a better discography, then it was "commercial success", and when kendrick proved to be perfectly competent in that regard, it was "staying in the game and not taking breaks"
BRO Kendrick jealous cause he feel like he should be in Drakes spot but He isn't. He shouldn't have called out everybody on control.K3ndrick started this bulls shit on some jealousy shit on Control which is boring as fuck. Saying all them names when he was talking Directly and ONLY to Drake. Gtf k3ndeick ain't that special. He just a Panther from The West Coast. Overhyped manufactured fake ass Tupac. They got 20 Kendrick on the East coast. 1 of em being Ransom yall sleep. Go play compromised by Ransom. This dude Kendrick ain't that special. Dope artist and he is a good rapper sometimes but not 1 of a kind. Or the actual best so guck numbers if it's just skill he still ain't the best. Rigamortis is nice and that shit Wayne do easy Ransom do easy. Jada kiss do easy Cassidy do easy. Eminem do easy. He's a product of Dr Dre he's gonna be more oriented to the roots of hip hop. Drake is a product of Stunna Man and Lil Wayne of Course he gonna toward the stunting and he always was a artist who made music for women.
With all that Drake has accomplished, the fact that Kendrick's name is still used in the same sentence as him definitely bothers him. It doesn't help when Kendrick has shown he's capable of outselling Drake when he wants to go commerical, can take 5 years off and still have massive success with his last album, and go on to break Drake's record for highest grossing rap tour of all time. When you add that with the fact that Kendrick's lyricism and artistry is among the best, it makes it clear that Kendrick is a force to be reckoned with that Drake can't ignore no matter how many streams he gets or hits he makes.
@@JPK169exactly, his music is studied at schools/universities. He has more prestigious music awards and the only Pulitzer Prize awarded to a rap/pop/R&B artist which is insane. His albums are revered as classics and his songs have heavy content/concepts.
The thing is they both want to be the undisputed GOAT at the same time same age releasing albums at the same time. This makes it an awkward competition since Drake was the one who first put Kendrick on. Drake had to start doing full blown pop albums to put down Kendrick for good but kdot wasn’t going out like that.
@@negispringfield6156 Drake did not put Kendrick on, Section 80 was bubbling before he collab with Drake. Also, Swimming Pools was popping before Poetic Justice was released.
Kdot runs circles around ol boy. Drake got hits and streams and thats where it ends.. (streams inflated off the pop and r and b stuff mainly) Kendrick got classics, masterpieces, accolades, critical acclaim & artistry galore. 2 different tiers. 2 different artists.
@@kered112yeah but Drake can do Kendrick level lyrical rapping but Kendrick just doesn't have the voice or the know how to make a commercial mainstream hit like Drake does on the daily.
@khizararif1355 no! Drake cannot. Just rapping slick lines and flows is the beginning. Conceptual, story telling is something I've yet to hear from drake.
I've been saying this. Drake got big copying every rapper he rapped with. He couldn't do it with Kendrick, because his style is no different. That is when the hate began. As a true narcissist, he tried to diminish Kendricks work.
Yup and when he tried (as can be seen in his response tracks) it fell extremely EXTREMELY short. Drake’s verses are very surface level while there are multiple layers to what Kendrick is saying. Hell, even a singular word may have different meanings in his songs. That way of writing can’t easily be replicated if you have never done it before. Drake really didn’t stand a chance
I dont care what anybody thinks, Kendrick Lamar will always be the superior rapper of his generation and its not even close. The only thing Drake has over him is popularity and Kendrick already has enough of that. Also, one of the reason why I think Drake has been making fun of himself so much lately is cause if he ever gets into another beef , he doesnt want people throwing shit in his face the way Pusha-T did. So as you said, "calculated". Edit: 9 fucking months ago! This dude drake is a predictable clown
Bro Drake is more popular because he makes overall better music. Not everything has to be deep and philosophical to sound good. Drake makes great music way easier to digest than Kendrick. To me that makes it better, if more people can take it in, understand it and enjoy it. Miles ahead, messages in music are important. But sound is always going to be the MOST important
@@RoboticIzaacdrake is a hitmaker. No question. The argument tho is better rapper. That goes to Kendrick easily. And I personally enjoy that Kendrick over his career has challenged me to expand my sound pallet. I almost always end up loving what he created
Do y’all remember the 2013 B.E.T cypher with TDE, Kendrick one shot killed Drake “Shit ain’t been the same since I dropped control and tuck these sensitive rappers back in they pajama clothes” 😂
Drake is not an artist, he’s a shill. He USED to be inventive, he USED to be introspective, he USED to tell stories. Thats not him anymore. Kdot is in another league and the music he raps, he writes. Drake might sell more overall, but kendrick is light years ahead of drake in artistry.
Drake makes club music and r&b songs Kendrick makes real lyrical real life music Thts literally how this world is either u worried bout partying and clubbing or u tryna get ur life together and be better and more conscious Simple !!!
Drake is a superstar but because he cares more about relevancy in the now than legacy kids he brought up in Kendrick and The Weeknd have long surpassed him in terms of impact
I mean the weekend is a singer dude that is embraced by white fans everywhere it’s way easier to be accepted as a singer then a rapper. Look at drake he was hated on cuz he use to sing trust issues etc and ppl only wanted him to rap but now ppl want him to bring back that take care sound
I hear you guys ❤️ I’m working on those , wanna make sure I’m not wasting your time but rather give you Quality ! Thank you for the Constant Support !!
@@geekboutit Drake has written for Dr Dre, Kanye, Beyonce, Jamie fox. Nearly every artists have used cowriters in some of their songs. Meatriding on Drake hate won't change the reality. Drake will go down as GOAT, kanye and jim jones already agrees while drake is still on top and once his career finishes, there would be no debate on who is the GOAT. This is the sad reality for Drake haters.
It’s probably a mix of obsession and competition. Drake had shifted the culture and hit unquestionable numbers, but there’s something about Dot he can’t get past. I’m a huge fan of both, but out of the two of them, I lean moreso towards Kendrick. Drake makes you feel good and want to call your girl. Kendrick makes you think, get philosophical/ prophesies, and evolve
Drake has always had that entitled yt boy energy. That "you make music for Compton" comment was as tone deaf as the "free the sl4ves" bar. Very glad that backfired on him. Yuck.
@@kered112 doesn’t matter what we think as un biased fans. There are too many biased Drake fans to admit he could fail when he does. Biased kendrick fans at least have more of a chance at dealing with facts but Drake fans??? They could never admit that
@@badmedicin3 theres no need to make an excuse for kendrick. His albums have had some of the best quality work in the last decade. Can’t say the same for Drake. What I do expect is a reply about Drakes numbers tho. Thats the only thing his fans will always run too when deep down a lot of us know Album wise he has been mid since NWTS. Single wise he has been dominant but as a rapper with consistent good body of work, he has not been that guy.
Still don’t know how this channel has yet to blow up, the quality and the topics of your videos never ceases to impress and entertain me. in due time, those subs finna be in the hundreds of thousands, keep these great videos up! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Drake understands the business side but not the culture he showed that in "family matters". Plus drake uses streaming farms thats never been a secret. Kdot sales are pure.
Yes! IMO, Family Matter was SO revealing! It exposed Drakes inability to read the room, his inflated ego, and frankly his lack of intelligence and I’m not even trying to drag Drake. I was a fan of Drake at some point so seeing this in real time was like an awakening.
All he needs to do is write his own music, something that Kendrick excels in. Honestly writing imo is a gift it really is a art form. To be able to write your ideas and thoughts to convey emotion, storytelling ideas, with such complexity is a gift.
Drake and Kendrick are GOATS for this generation. My generation (im 36) it was nas and jayz. In my wife (45) it was biggie and Tupac. If you see the pattern here you’ve got your hip hop purist poet artist and then you got your commercial success guy. Although they both have dope skills they each got a lane
Dope observation but it gets even sicker when you realize that they see it that way too. Using the same motifs / paying homage / positioning themselves as the artistic reincarnations of the previous. Posthumously, Hov to Big and Nas to PAC. Then when they matured past that stage Drake to Hov, Cole to Nas and Kendrick to Pac. Oversimplified of course, because we could go back to the Chuck D, Big Daddy Kane, KRS ONE, LL etc and keep the pattern going. Hell even Bey being Diana Ross lol
As a Kendrick and drake fan I’d love to see them battle it out. No violence of course, just pure lyrical diss tracks, back and forth, until the public decides the winner 🔥
Drake is not a violent guy and wouldn't want to piss the guy off who runs the west coast. Bloods, crips, latin kings etc...are riding for kendrick if it goes there with any rapper.
@@--REGULAR--REGULARdrake runs with j prince. Drake can have some strings pulled. A close friend of drakes was shot in a drive by shooting a couple years ago when he was waiting to get buzzed in somewhere. His name was Anthony soares. Point being drake hangs with people who live that life
