Can't wait for this. Frostbite on the switch is going to be amazing. Day 1 buy for me. So so happy they finally managed to optmised this for the switch. Bought Fifa 23 last night on sale for £8.74 which I think is worth it. ALSO, they haven't just decided to bring Frostbite to the switch, they have been working on it for years and with the original engine developers of Frostbite leaving DICE/EA, it has been difficult. But we are here now and I am so excited.

I've played the closed beta on Switch and it's pretty good! It's basically what we all expected it would be back when the Switch launched, just a lower resolution, lower frame rate version of the PS5 / XS counterparts. That said the frame rate reeeeeeally does chug at times, but overall it was a solid experience and leagues ahead of what they've provided for the last 6 years!

So excited for this! I’ve been waiting for a “FIFA” like this for decades! The first FIFA I had was on the PSP, then on the PS Vita, and Xbox 360/One. Finally getting that console-like experience while in the restroom 😂

Frostbite on switch is going to be great! I play on xbox series x but i am enjoying playing fifa 23 on my Switch on the bed also 😅 imagine ea sports fc 24 with Frostbite. Will look beautiful on the small oled screen of the switch.

Fifa player on switch here, I could never be more happy that ea has finally ditched legacy edition. I only played career mode but now im excited for playing new, better modes

I am playing Fifa 23 on Switch and I love it. Never played the previous, last Fifa was 14 back in the day.

I dont really care for the graphics step down for the switch version as long as we get the same version gameplay as ps4 and xbox were very much happy. Now we can have fifa on the go.

I bought FIFA 23 for the Switch. Got FIFA 18 alongside my Switch five years ago and thought, that the Champions League, Scoreboards and tons of new stadiums are enough of an upgrade to justify buying it so that I would have a more up to date game for the next few years. After all, while the gameplay is really not that good, it's still good enough for playing it every now and then I never expected FIFA for the Switch to ever stop being a "Legacy Edition" and now I am genuinely excited to have a proper FIFA to play whereever I want in a few weeks!

I think it has more to do with them losing the fifa license.

I own PS5 and Switch, play Fifa on PlayStation but would happily play on Switch as I have online paid for annually and don’t really like PS Plus.

Because they actually put some effort into it. It's a win guys but I have a feeling next year's game will follow the same trend of not having any enhancements

Hope it's good because it's the last Switch version they'll put any work into. Once the Switch 2 comes out this will be a legacy edition like all the rest.

First time in a long time I'm buying a football game. If only NBA 2k showed this much love for their Switch version too. Hopefully NBA 2K24 gets a nice update compared to last year's. I buy sports games on the Switch because I want access to them everywhere.

I’ve played the closed beta and I’m really impressed. It plays just like fifa 23 on the ps5, same skill moves, power shots, everything. It no longer feels like “arcade” soccer.

I think it’s more likely that they realise they can’t call it a Legacy edition as they probably can’t reference ‘fifa’ on the packaging.

Since I got my Switch I've always believed that the best way to enjoy the Switch at max, is to play games that were designed for the Switch, otherwise you will complain about games that were designed for PC or PS or whatever because of the lack of good quality. So, the fact that EAFC is coming is very exciting because the FIFA Legacy games are indeed rubbish but again, they were not originally designed for the Switch. Great video Mr Solo.

I haven’t played the FIFA game since FIFA 2003 because I hated how the FIFA games controlled and I struggled with them generally so it’s nice that the switch finally gets the FIFA game. Sorry FC sports game that we should’ve gotten a long time ago I hate using the word underpowered. Yes the switch was compared to the PS4 and Xbox One, but I think it was totally unfair to compare it to those systems, especially as the switch in terms of graphics performance was more comparable to that of the Xbox 360 and PS3, which is absolutely nothing wrong with as a recent switch owner I’m considering whether or not I should get the new game, but I’ve always been more of a football manager fan, but I am willing to give the new FIFA, sorry EFC sports a chance. I don’t even have a PS5 and have no intention of buying one because I’ve always preferred Handheld gaming over console, especially now I had a PS4 and I had a hard time with it. I just couldn’t get on with the majority of the games I owned the only one I could get along with was GTA trilogy I know it wasn’t a great remaster of 3 genre defining games, it was the only one I could get along with because it was familiar to me since getting rid of my PS4 and getting the switch. I haven’t looked back. I have no intention of going back to PlayStation or Xbox. I’m strictly sticking with Nintendo as Nintendo games and games on the switch in general are just fun.

I was hoping to play FIFA on a mobile console. I have a Steam deck and ea made it incompatible with the anti cheat built in. I assume this isn’t going to change with EAFC24 When I heard about this change I was estatic

The Switch definitely more stronger than the Wii U. Its more so the battery holding it back otherwise they could do more visually. But its RAM is way better than WiiU's

I never got why EA never invested more into the Switch. If they made the same versions as the PS4 and XBox One plus cross play, I'm sure many would have bought this version in ADDITION to the PS4/One versions.

Guys i got the closed beta for nintendo switch and its 30fps locked. Its weird playing fifa on 30fps. I guess its possible getting used to but for me its kind of a deal breaker. But at least its the same game as the other consoles.

Tbh it would be easier if the third parties just flip the script and focus on Switch development first and foremost and port to the other consoles with better textures or whatever. The Switch has 100+ million units out there, it dwarves both the PS5 and the Xbox, so for people to STILL be treating it as an afterthought is suicidal. As for underpowered, any Switch iteration will be underpowered so long as it's a handheld machine built with budget retail price in mind. You cannot compete with Sony on graphics whilst your focus remains budget handhelds, to even attempt it would be nuts. EA screwed themselves though tbh, Switch players don't even look at FIFA because of all the legacy crap

But still no crossplay, i'll keep playing my fifa 23

Fifa 18-23 on switch was not a ps3 port, it is a port of ps4 fifa 16. Fifa on switch was based on Fifa 16 version of ps4, not ps3.

There are some games that shouldn’t have been released on switch (at least how they were optimised) and were clearly cash grabs. Lego Star Wars skywalker for example is absolute dogsh - so I hope this isn’t added to the list.

Fifa legacy edition does say in black and white and very clearly for every to read “this is not a new game and does have any added features or upgrades” you can’t get made at fifa literally telling you that fifa 18 is the same as fifa 23 with no added enhancements.

Let's be honest... It's gonna be trash again .... Fifa is trash for yeaaaaaars on any console/pc .... lost hope for this bullshit game a few years ago, left it and never coming back... it's just a huge waste of time.
