@@Lakey_Peterson He was getting some shade and chill vibes until he found some water or maybe lost and didn't want to get cooked by the Sun... There was a turtle in the street where I live in Virginia when I drove around it almost crushing it. Cars just kept nearly missing crushing it. It kept going inside its shell hoping not to get crushed by The Cars because it couldn't get up a median separating it from the other side of the road where the water was. I couldn't let little heavy guy get killed so I parked in a random parking lot nearby and scooped him up and put him in the grass back in nature where he found water on a 90° day... Thankfully I got to him in time!!! That's cool you guys helped the wild turtle 🐢 out!!!! We're humans and if we don't look out for the animal's and then nobody will... ✌ 🏄 ✌
Looks like you had an amazing time. Your surf skills are incredible. Personally, I feel the whole sporting aspect of surfing kinda rips away the spirit of it. It’s literally breaking down an art into something quantitative- which is a kill joy for me. You’re a beast on the water 🤙
another epic video !!! El salvador has some amazing waves...both you and thomas are shredding hard besides the others..best luck in the upcoming jeffreys bay contest,im in south africa further north in the transkei,a place called mdumbi which has two great point breaks, lwandile and mdumbi
@Lakey_Peterson it really is one of the very few over developed places in the world and both super tranquil and safe..it's ocean is still teaming with wildlife .new Zealands coastline is much like here but obviously it's a first world continent and brrr brrr too cold..anyhow keep sharing your stoke on your love of the ocean and shredding those waves apart 😉
Been following your career for years and absolutely love your surf. This year, it looked, to me, that your boards looked, at times, very stiff. Didn't feel the same spring out of the more vertical maneuvers and couldn't see your rail game engaging as clean as usual. Don't know if you are nursing some kind of an injury. It looks like your flow is completely back. The first segment looks insane. Great job!
Great Editing, Would have liked you guys to have taken a roll through the backyard bowl, Looked Rad. Typical WSL event curse : Great Waves Right Before the comp.🤣Hope J Bay Holds Out, Got you on My fantasy surf for the event. 🏄♀⚡🤘
I "get" why you feel disappointed Leakey.... the last few events , since WinkyPop, the judges (& even the "on air personality's " commentary ) has been low grade and lack luster! It isn't in your surfing or level of performance THAT's Fo'Shor!! ( what does "Coach" Parsons say I wonder!?) ❤️ & Stoke from the 805 Ponytail Grrl! Kill it @ JBay!
@6:43 so crucial the different professional ladies talking about maneuvers just going to do what. So funny to hear Johane say that ahe is old school and Lakey and her agree to let the new generation take care of the rest... So cool getting to see behind the scenes of professional tour. Thanks for sharing!!!
The video filming and editing starting to look like legit mini little movies, so super sweet awesome!!! I'm so glad you guys started the channel because you guys show stuff that we would never get to see watching the regular WSL page. Now other professional surfers are creating videos for their channels which makes it even more epic to get the full """Shebang""" of the professional competitor surf life and free surfing... Team Lakey and husband, you guys rock rock like the music artist Fergi from the Black Eye Peas says in her songs!!!! Please keep the content coming!!!!! P.S. THXXX GUYYYS FOR SHARINGGG!!! HAPPY SURFING FROM VB/VIRGINIA BEACH!!!!! ✌ 🌞🌴 🏄 🌴 🌞 ✌
Fueeeego - fuego en mi corazóóón . . . Fueeeego - fuego en mi almaaa . . . Mi amor por ti es puro fuego ! Kissing the grass after your thrilling helicopter flight was a really good move . . .
Too bad that the 2 contests that they have had at Punta Roca were not this clean.I love watching the worlds best on one of the best waves on the planet!
❤ hi j bay corona champ champ, i hope you and tom tom are doing well :) the surf footage, especially the birds eye (but your comp footage as well) looks great, and you are ripping in what looks like top form. graceful, powerful, aggressive, fluid. your arms and shoulder posture and movement, especially throughout your big sweeping cutbacks and gouging top turns looks so good, driving, and controlled, and with more power. your analysis and work on that is evident, as you are looking styled and dialed. tom is also quite the aussie powered ripper, isn't he? of course he is, he is married to champ champ :) the pink railed CIs (and blue ones too, but more so pink), look great in wax treatment, and even better under your feet. whatever shapes / dimensions those are, look great, fast, responsive, and thick enough to keep you moving and driving, yet still short and agile. it gives me even more hope that our pink 6'6" will be perfect in all conditions :) be good, keep ripping, stay fit, and please avoid sketchy helicopters :)
