It is more than just taxes it is the amount of red tape that is out there. When the Tesla plant got shut down in California and he defied the wishes of the local authorities and opened the plant back up again that was probably the moment he decided to start outsourcing.

Have you ever lived in Texas, Arizona or Nevada? I've lived in all three and they are far more regulated and police states then California, Oregon or Washington, all of which I've lived in as well. It's mind blowing that they don't know how fewer freedoms they actually have because they refuse to experience new places or talk to different people. Don't be like them.

I'd much rather pay the Californian taxes and live in West Hollywood or Laguna Beach than "save" couple of hundred dollars per year and live in Olive, OK, or Midland, TX.
