When you mentioned endermen might be made of obsidian and then asked where the obsidian from the end pillars came from, I thought you were gonna say that the enderman had to build structures out of the corpses of their kind.

This supposed "Portal Energy" could also be used in enchantments, as enchanted items also glow purple-magenta, plus enchantment tables are also made of obsidian.

I can imagine that Endermen are so dry that being wet by water will hurt them. I can imagine them having some sort of black vapor to indicate their extreme dryness.

This also explains why when teleporting an enderman won't take damage unlike the player. Because they are made of a tough material that would not take damage to the sudden landing of an ender pearl teleport.

The answer is simple its Because of the chemical reaction that occurs to the Ribosithetic Plasmiod cells in the Enderman's skin, it suffers incredible pain. If an Enderman is exposed to water for a long enough period of time, it will perish. Any Enderman will die if exposed to water for too long a time. Another example is They adapted the property of the chorus fruit never transporting you to a block underwater by taking damage in water and mojang says Enderman eyes can turn red in the nether and mojang says enderman are slender men

I like the portal energy concept, but the idea that endermen are made from obsidian doesn’t really make sense, saying they look the same is kind of a stretch, the theory that water damages the portal energy as sort of a coolant for a high temperature high fluidity substance would make sense with it instantly cooling it, locking the fluidity and sort of clogging the system

At first, I was thinking this theory was a stretch, but now, I think it makes complete sense

My theory is that the particles they leave are a sort of dust they accumulate via teleportation that, when coming into contact with water, makes the water acidic.

I have a theory on the end portal’s energy source. I think that the end portal definitely contains portal energy because there would be no other way you could teleport to the End without it being present. In addition, the portal frame seems to contain endstone, which is what chorus fruit grows out of and is probably why chorus fruit give teleportation abilities. However, end portals aren’t purple, therefore the energy used to make end portals within end portal frames must be a combination of portal energy and some other energy. I’ll call this energy “void energy”. I think that it may have come from the end void, which appears to be pitch black, hence why end portals appear black. This blackness is thus so intense that it’s deep black color overrides the purple color of portal energy. It may have traveled upwards until it hit the endstone of the End dimension, seeped inside the endstone, and combined with the portal energy already inside endstone. The energy then could’ve spread to more and more endstone, until all endstone obtained the void energy. Then, the endstone could’ve been collected and combined with other materials to create end portal frame blocks. Endstone by itself can easily be broken with a pickaxe, so other materials must’ve also went into creating the end portal frames to make them unbreakable. However, since void energy comes from the void, and the void kills you, I’m not exactly sure why jumping into the end portal won’t kill you. This is just my own theory though.

My theory (on why endermen teleport) : when you eat chorus fruit, you teleport randomly, and the chorus fruit grows in the end, and who exists in the end? Endermen. They might have eaten these fruits to stay alive, but the fruit gave them teleportation powers, since they have been eating them. so that’s my theory on why they *teleport* And maybe they don’t like water because the water is from the OverWorld, maybe chorus fruit has End water in it? Maybe OverWorld water hurts them because they aren’t human? (kinda like how chocolate hurts animals)

Interesting theory, but I think there were too many leaps of speculation, rather than logical based points, like a lot of your other theories. The portal energy makes somewhat sense, but enderman being obsidian was a stretch, and then I don’t see that connecting to water at all. This theory in particular didn’t resonate with me all that much in comparison to your others, but love the channel man, keep it up!

Their skin could be really thin though, it just takes a look at the angry enderman file to see that.

Yeah,you can bring water to the end because it’s not hot enough to evaporate it or cold enough to freeze it. There’s still none there so why would the things there develop immunity? They wouldn’t.

When shulkers teleport, they leave that same purple particle, the energy gives people/mobs the ability to travel between deminsions and of course teleport.

i have further evidence supporting your theory. there is the new Minecraft Dungeons DLC which adds the Heart Of Ender who for some reason is a purple portal worm and this thing created several portals and closed them also closing the end portal oddly enough. this "Heart of Ender" seems to be the creator of the portal energy due to the fact it has almost full control over portal energy

I think obsidian isn't magical on its own, but instead acts as a catalyst for portal energy to use its full potential

I really like your theory, however, in defence of the theory at 1:10 The water has to be obtained in the overworld before placing it in the end since there's no water in the end or the nether, so it is actually overworld water that you place in the end. You might argue that this is not true in creative mode because you can get it directly from the inventory or using commands. But don't forget that creative isn't really part of the lore. Most of the evidence you can find in survival mechanics (like killing mobs, trading with villagers etc.) or parts of the game that apply to both, survival and creative. Like shulkerboxes, the dimensions, portals etc. The main difference between the two game modes is that in survival you're part of the world and try to explore and survive in it. So it clearly want's you to find these pieces of evidence. However, in creative mode you're not really part of the world, you're more of a god/creator of the world and YOU decide, what world you want to build and what its backstory is.

Why enderman hates water in end : you took it from overworld

Sly stallion coined the term "Element x" to describe portal juice and I think that's more accurate,since it seems more like gas when emitted by portals and endermen. Also I think ender pearls make very unstable portals,but they can be combined with other things to make them stable,like blaze powder and obsidian in the case of ender chests.The portal they do create collapses in on itself,causing a small explosion of element x and damaging the player,as well as transporting them. Also:Am I the only one that thinks water in cauldrons doesn't evaporate in the nether for a reason?Since they have a connection with magic,it's entirely possible there are runes on them for this very reason,so the ancient builders could put themselves out in the nether.

You see,an enderman is my favourite mob,so I know about it a lot, enderman were first people and then they ate too many chorus fruits and became enderman and got the teleporting power from the chorus fruits

From the older theories of the endermen being the ancient builders and how the chorus fruit turned the ancient builders into ender men, I believe that as the ancient builders were evolving their skin started to stretch out to fit their new long arms and legs, due to the stretching of the skin the volume of the skin/flesh became less and since it became less their bodies became more sensitive to things.. but not just a thing.. water. The endermen’s nervous system was closer due to how thin the skin/flesh became and because of that they felt more sensitive to water’s coldness, so sensitive that they got hurt by it and as their skin and flesh stretched to suit their new body their muscles stretched as well and because of that the age of old mystery of the endermen.. has been solved. Wait, i think i know how the end portal works, ender pearls work with portal energy, so maybe purifing them with blaze powder will allow you to travel between dimensions, instead of just teleporting. And the end portal frames absorb that power from eyes of ender and use that portal energy to open the portal

Possibly they teleport out of it because they also dont like being looked at and water reflects them like a mirror so the enderman is starting at itself

Love the portal energy idea! Mabey portal energy is strong enough to rip wholes through dimensions. The reason behind the nether and end portal. The nether easier to get to because of the purple appearance and the end needs more portal energy, hence why the end portal needs a frame, ender eyes. Ender eyes being the fule that lights the end portal and to strengthen the ender pearls. Makeing the rip between the end and the overworld. Just some thoughts off the top of my head!

I saw someone named Belarbus and he mentioned that the endportal blocks were unbreakable right? Well here’s my theory about it. Endermen carry blocks right? Well then they picked up bedrock and made a mixture with bedrock and endstone. Meaning that the end portal blocks have bedrock in them and that is why it is impossible to break.

I recently found out something weird that I have researched and can't find anywhere, whenever you put an end rod on an end gateway those purple particles appear.

My theory. First, the End is a very dry place. Look at the Nether, for example. There is plants, it's possible to live there. But there's absolutely nothing in the End. That means that Endermen never adapted to liquids. Connecting this to the "Why do Endermen don't like to be looked at?", the reason would be that they have never seen any other species. They're only used to other Endermen, the Ender Dragon, shulkers, and those little purple hateful rats. You wouldn't like to be stared at by something you've never seen. Like, what if it's _preying_ you? What if it's a threat, something that wants to kill you? You've never seen it before, you don't know anything about it. Basically: Endermen hate water because they're used to dry places, they've never seen/gotten used to water. Endermen hate being stared at because they feel threatened. I don't actually believe Endermen are made out of obsidian. It'd be too heavy to be teleported, logically, but without logic, they would be stronger then they actually are. And even though they look alike, it doesn't mean they are related any further.

Maybe the way they can teleport is by the chorus fruit, since the chorus fruit can teleport you to random places nearby and how they can teleport and used the chorus fruit for them to survive

I don't think that the water is deactivating the portal or deactivating the Endermen. My guess is that water reacts with the portal energy and instead of conducting it like IRL water does to electricity, minecraft water does the reverse to Portal Energy and disrupts the flow, meaning that instead of short-circuiting the portal/endermen it instead acts as a circuit breaker.

I have a theory. Organs beneath Endermen's skin produce portal energy that gives off the purple particles outside. The energy produced inside make the cells layered on top of them really hot. When the cells make physical contact with hydrogen dioxide (or water) they will disintegrate and evaporate in the liquid. So the Endermen are weak to all kinds of water, and are not capable of gaining small amounts of water from Chorus Fruits either.

And if you separate end-stone with one of those devices, you also get the unknown element multiple times. I might have a theory (this is also a bit of your theory) maybe if crying obsidian was created maybe by 2 ways : a portal that is used to much or a ender man that cannot teleport enters a nether portal and the portal explodes(this is along time ago like before current enderman like i mean like the ancestors of the current enderman) but the ancestors of the current endermen were more powerful and durable as they are made of obsidian. And when the portal explodes the enderman survies and in that explosion, the portal energy in the portal overflows because endermen might have abit of portal energy in them but did no awaken yet. So once the portal exploded the portal energy was trying to find where it can reside in because portal cant live on its own and some of the portal energy went on some cracked obsidian and trying to repair it but the portal energy gave up as the obsidian never repaired so becoming portal juice and creating crying obsidian, and all of the other portal energy went to the endermen so making it that it could teleport and thats how endermen can teleport, crying obsidian is made and how nether portal ruins are created (as some of the blocks of the nether portal was exploded)

I do think the Portal Energy is the cause of why Endermen Teleports,Nether Portal Teleports you,and it is made of Portal Energy,so it could explain why.

I think the endermen are allergic to water because it literally doesn't exist in the end. The purple stuff is some kind of hyperspace that exists between dimensions. Crying obsidian leaks purple goo from touching portal blocks for a long time. When endermen teleport, they go through the hyperspace layer. Endermites exist in this hyperspace place, but the nether portal is too hot for them, so they only show up because of pearls. If they used the return end portal, it would send them to their respawn point in hyperspace.

Tho isn’t a theory but I think the reason most end creatures hate water is because the devs wanted to give a twist since most of the mobs in Minecraft hate/die in lava also because they are all from the end and the end has like no water.

I think that endermen can either make obsidian or that obsidian is kind of like the fossils of dead endermen. I don’t know why endermen hate water but it would explain why portals break when in contact with water. It would also kind of explain crying obsidian, perhaps it’s the blood of the endermen seeping through after many years or perhaps it’s the tears of loved ones. I think it also explains the portal, I think the blaze powder (made from blaze rods) speeds up the fossilisation and mutants the pearl somehow in order to make the end portal (which teleports you to the end much the same way the ender pearls teleport you when thrown). But it’s just a theory

he forgot beacons use this "Portal energy" because the base is obsidian. but I propose that you need the base blocks for the beacons because there is little to no portal energy to power it therefore it needs the energy from the blocks to give it more energy? Idk just thinking
