Why Enna DOESN'T want to play Genshin【NIJISANJI EN | Enna Alouette】 

I really don't see enna playing any gacha or competitive games, I would be surprise if she does but she definitly not the sweaty gamer type, for me she is the type that enjoys watching shows, tv drama, reading novels and manga.

IMO staying on the sidelines and just enjoying the music and art is the better way to enjoy Genshin. There's so much pretty art and stuff that comes out about Genshin, and you don't need to spend or grind to see it. I quit at like AR50 something once I realized that I didn't want to grind to level unlock or gear any of my new units even if I got lucky and pulled them.

Totally agree with enna on the music. I initially loved every aspect of the game when I first started playing. As time went on though the gameplay has felt pretty hollow. The daily grind of making sure to use all my resin, doing my daily quests, keeping up with whatever timed event is going on is just not something that excites me anymore. And yet, I still keep coming back to the game for its great character and world design, the story, and especially the beautiful music.

Good for her, as an AR60 player that got addicted to Genshin for 2 years I can only say, prevention>cure Anyway the music fucking slap so I would recommend anyone to at least check out their lives concert

Honkai would probably be more her speed if she were to ever dip her toes into the scene. She might actually really like the animated shorts

avoiding the game is the best thing to do in the first place but if youre already deep in the addiction, the best thing to do is not investing your whole life into it. Genshin can be played without focusing on the gacha but its difficult since the best things in game comes from the gacha(limited 5 stars). I only play coz of how fcking gorgeous the game is, from music, lore and to small details. Thats the best way to play it if you dont want your life to be ruined, balance it out, but always prioritize your life goals first and play genshin as a stress reliever or a way to kill time, its what I do. its also why im not a fan of genshin content creators who just make summoning content, theyll throw tantrums that they wasted their money

She's not wrong plus not much to stream other than rolling, story or puzzles (which you usually do in silence like the Monday Papers puzzles) It's a super casual game that unfortunately takes a lot of space to run.

The thing about Genshin (or gacha games in general) is that once you've started playing it, you can't stop. It's difficult to just drop the game entirely without FOMO or feeling guilty. The more you play it, the more you invest in the game, the more you're gonna feel bad when you stop playing. Especially if you're a whale. To just abandon the game after you've spent countless hours grinding for your characters, feels terrible and it feels like you're throwing out all of those effort and energy you've spend. A lot of people said "just do the commissions" or "just claim the BP rewards", but it's not that easy. You see that resin amount, of course you wanna farm. Unless you're a meta player, that can take some time. Trust me, I had tried only doing those tasks, I always ended up spending 4-5 hours playing Genshin. Why? Because every month they have events that take hours to complete. And since I have a full time job, Genshin became the only game I played. Engaging with the community can also drain your energy since they either try to argue just about everything or straight talk sh*t about the characters you're using. They will always find a way to stir up some drama, whether it's in a Discord server or a RU-vid comment. One time I was asking how I should build my Ningguang and I was using Favonius Book on her since it's the only 4 star book I had, people in the server ignored my request for help and kept on mocking me and how bad my build was. I know it's bad, it's not even built yet, that's reason why I was asking for help in the first place. Don't even bother say that you looked up on Google for character builds, they will simply dismiss it, call Google is wrong/whoever made the guide is a noob and call you stupid + slurs if you're lucky. So you are mostly forced to do all of your business alone. I made a decision to uninstall Genshin from my computer so that it forced me to stop playing Genshin. I was lucky I had only spent $300-400 in total, I had been playing for only 5 months, so I didn't lose much (still had like 14 days of Welkin tho). Plus the characters I care about have been built well and I have no interest in pulling for more characters. My ultimate goal was to main a well-built C6 Noelle, I just realized it wasn't possible unless I spent 2-3 more years playing Genshin, which is a "nope". So, I was at AR56 and I quit just before Sumeru was released. It was a bummer that I can't experience Sumeru but it had to be done and it actually worked. After quitting Genshin, I found love in other games again. I can finally try many different games and practice drawing. Overall, I just feel happier and more free than ever. Everyday I thank my past self for making that decision. It's a shame that Genshin is the only game (that I'm aware of) with a robust combat mechanics that utilizes elemental reactions. I miss playing with my "Beidou National" team due to how fun it was. But every time I think of coming back to Genshin, I just remind myself my struggles when playing Genshin, which got me saying "honestly, nevermind"

tbh it is not the characters and weapon gacha that affect the player. its the RESINS and ARTIFACT.

Genshin is fun for me because of world/exploration(Personally love art style and some areas are stunning and very fun to explore) , and really like the combat system a lot. Story and quests are good enough to be interested in especially as you get further they get better. Annoying that it is just labeled like this "Oh that gacha game" or "its just another gacha game". A little annoyed with that. That said, yes it has a gacha system that can get out of hand for some people.

im actually glad that enna doesn't play any games that requires mindless grind, because im not the type to watch those streams.

I under stand why people don’t like gacha. But I wish more people would realize it’s not just gambling for toons. It’s the very reason I only play solo self found on path of exile. You are stuck with what you got and you need to make that shit work. Guides and all the meta shit doesn’t mean a thing and it forces you to think and build up on your own. Every mmo and major rpg I’ve ever played comes down to flavor of the month classes and cookie cutter builds where every one is rocking the same gear. But you put a dollar sign and low chance to get those classes and gear and all of a sudden there is this uniqueness to every account that would not exists otherwise.

Can definitely understand where Enna is coming from. I'm somebody who started at launch but I'm the type who doesn't like grinding and stuff. After about a year or so I started burning out for about 9 months or so, only logged in occasionally for the archon quests (Inazuma's difficulty spike contributed to this too because my characters are weak due to bad rng) Now that Sumeru released I'm definitely playing more but only when I feel like it, it's better to focus on appreciating the non-gacha/rng aspects of the game imo

As an AR 60 player who's done the whole 36* abyss thing, I highly recommend the game, but I think your enjoyment of the game varies depending on how you approach it. One of the biggest issues people have is the daily 10-20 minute routine of resin and commissions, but to me it's a "turn your brain off chill out" kind of activity for me each day. Gacha is another issue, and to that, I don't mind not having everybody. I also don't mind waiting for reruns. The community has a bad rep, but you don't have to participate in it. I play with a few friends, and we have fun. I clear events, build characters properly, and clear abyss. If I get less than 36*s in some abyss rounds, I don't mind getting 33-35*. Yet, my perspective on the game is similar to that of a casual player, and my favorite aspects of the game are the story, music, and world exploration. It's really all about how you see the game. How much time does it take? Not much per day, I make time to touch grass.

Yeah, i play genshin cause its bgm too! The music just getting better and better on every new map, first enkanomiya and then Sumeru. Genshin music never disappointed me

Well if Enna wants to play any gacha game for the music, she could just play Arknights (also it would be fun to see her mald at the difficulty), Hypergryph is just a music company that develops the game as a front.

Her choice. I'm a super-casual player who only raised AR to 50 to be able to raise my characters' level to 90. I don't see any point at all to going to 60 even though I probably have the EXP to be able to do it by now. I also now only spend on the monthly stuff if I feel like it. I feel like it's more worthwhile to spend on _Honkai_ than on _Genshin_ . I love the story, characters, and combat there so much more. But you can totally play Hoyo's games free if you want. It's just that putting money in lets you get characters and their gear faster. That's the only difference. I've had both experiences, since I always start F2P, but then I break down to get something really powerful, and once I get that I ease off spending. I can afford it thanks to my job, but I don't really _need_ to keep up that level of spending to enjoy things. Also, I'm really looking forward to the release of Hoyo's other games, _Honkai: Star Rail_ and _Zenless Zone Zero_ .

Can't blame her for not wanting to play. Used to play psobb on schthack server. (Chrono Lee era) I was down really bad to the point all nighters we're the norm and my wake-up call was catching boarder line diabetes. Luckily I was able to reverse course in time before it got real serious.

I used to play Genshin but because of certain west people and also the attack towards Aether's EN VA, I decided to give my account for my friend. I still like some aspect from Genshin but I do not want to touch/play Genshin anymore

I mean people that play genshin for the gacha aspect spend too much and might not enjoy it in my opinion but those who play for the story and music are not unhealthy. I am rank 59, bought 10 battle passes and like 15 moon blessings in these two years BUT I have not spend any other money on games in this time, I would have spent far more if I had bought elden ring and other mayor games. I 3 star every single abyss 12 since 8 months ago.

I just quitted genshin after more than a year and I'm pretty happy about it. Some people say you are missing on the music and characters and whatnot but there are a lot of other rpgs with amazing music and characters that don't need you to play daily to get things (and have a skip button) like Xenoblade, Shin MegaTen series, The Legend of Heroes series, Fire Emblem, and like a million more. I'm just gonna log in during the anniversary to see how bad it is this time haha. Btw, I've seen a spanish speaker vtuber playing classic snes games lately (Donkey Kong Country, Yoshi's Island) and I hope more vtubers would do that, play amazing games not for the trends but because they enjoy them (plus they are better than any gacha haha)

For what it's worth, I'd prefer Enna make content specifically for her own branding and interest. The reason why we watch _a certain finger-licking dog Vtuber_ is because of her dedication to playing retro games exclusively. So, it makes sense for Enna to differentiate from other Vtubers' contents by not playing it.

Genshin is actually a light weight gacha game. The dailies that you do are not mandatory. It is not competitive. I started early, it got boring at some points when I caught up with the story. I simply stopped playing and continued after they have a major update. Even if you just simply do part of the dailies to get primogems, it won't take much time at all. That is what I love about Genshin after playing quite a lot of other gacha games. But a perspective that I understand is that you feel not like playing when everybody is already playing. Most games I just prefer watching others play, but Genshin is an exception for me.

You play genshin whenever you want, Gatcha and collecting doesn't matter, just have fun on your own time.

IMO best way to enjoy genshin is to play it alone, and the only thing you interact with the community is with the fanarts (like from pixiv or twitter arts), nothing else. The lore, the music, and the world is actually beautiful, so it's best to not associate yourself with the community, especially the non-art subreddit and anitwitter community, and experience the game fully on your own. I actually never had a conversation with the community or watched any streams or gameplays on twitch/youtube, even from my favorite content creator. Also it's very possible to not spend any money to play the game, I finished Chapter 2 with no 5 star character on my own account.

Playing geshin was once a dream for me before because I can't play on my phone. It just looks really amazing to me. But then I got a decent computer and then I installed and played a little bit of it. It's fun, but as what enna said, my poor ass wants to get the other characters too but I can't and don't want to spend money on a game. I rarely play it now and focusing on what I always do, play games on emulators. I have the gba, ds, 3ds, psp, ps1, ps2, gamecube and wii emulators and is currently enjoying the heck out of my games where you can get everything without paying and relying on rng luck.

Vtubers belong to companies won’t stream gacha games without any reasons because the manufacturer will spend a lot of money on marketing & promotion. Then why do it for free than getting paid? That's a good take. If you aren't interested in a game you don't have to play it and still enjoy the other things it provides like music and art. I just wish more people understood that instead of constantly complaining about the game or comparing it with other games.
