Fun fact, Clodsire is based on the Iberian ribbed newt, which breaks its own ribs out of its body to act as a defense. So uh yeah, those aren't "spikes" coming out of Clod's back...
Scarlet descriptions says this "When attacked, this Pokémon will retaliate by sticking thick spines out from its body. It’s a risky move that puts everything on the line." Pretty crazy.
Yea idk espathra has one of the coolest designs this gen imo it’s like high fashion meets ostrich meets cleopatra? Lots of cool concepts merged together
Exactly! Even if it’s weird, this design is so fitting for a psychic type. My only qualm is the drastic evo change from Flittle, who by all extensive purposes, is a baby pokemon, in both design and overall fragility in stats.
Squishmallow on the bellibolt! I really like protect on my espathra so it’s always a first turn click and then I outspeed most anything after the boost. Love the stored power idea tho!
Love all the uploads lately Haydunn! Btw, Stored Power was way stronger on Goodra despite Dazzling Gleam being SE. Stored Power BP with +7 stats is 20+20*7 = 160, with Tera STAB is 160*2 = 320. Gleam BP is 80, with SE is 80*2 = 160. So even without Tera, Stored Power was stronger. It's just a nuts move on Espathra. (Tera) STAB is a helluva drug... Lol
The new abilities on some of these gen IX mons have elicited some verbal ‘Woahs’ from me! It’s like a clinic every episode, Haydunn, in the best way, haha ✌🏻
Stored power at 7 boosts with terra stab is 320 BP Gleam super effective on goodra is only 160 You really didn’t need to risk that crit on the Draco and could have saved health
i wanna see you use my baby sometime- ground terastalize frosmoth!! i tend to do quiver dance, tera blast, ice beam, bug buzz, and the coverage on it is phenomenal ^^ plus being pure ground type means only weak to ice, water, grass, most of which are special so they get stonewalled by ice scales!! though tbh with palafin, meowscarada, and quaquaval, there's a lot more physical of those types nowadays =3= but!!!! its still a lot of fun and i rly recommend her as a special setup threat that can absolutely devour special hits ^^ love ur content, keep kickin butt♥
I run opportunist with a focus sash. I'll predict mons that stat boost or if I see an espartha like yours to get the same boost. Imagine calm minding in front of me while I just attack and get the same boost. After they die I'm a boosted animal.
That Ostrich was probably one of the most entertaining pokemon I've seen in a while. I'm also really enjoying the switch ins for both water and ground moves. Meanwhile I made my wife watch this episode with me her review was "I don't know if pokemon is my thing". There is already the foundation of plans to change that
Oh and also I got you fam. Here's a few quick decent Bellibolt nicknames. 1.Tazer-Tum 2. Shock Pots 3. Fat Volt 4. Grid Gut 5. Flab Fuel 6. Fattery 7. Fat Fuse and 8. crAmps There we go
Dude Espathra with a ton of boosts can 1 or 2 shot most Goodra. If you were Timid max Special Attack and Speed then 2 Calm Mind use and 3 Speed Boost bonuses plus Tera can do over 100% to 8 Special Defense 248 HP Goora with your Life Orb on a high roll. Goodra is always 1 or 2 shot depending on investment. Do not doubt Stored Power.
loved this battle but was 7:25 a misplay? I feel like terastal + stab stored power with 7 boosts has to do more damage than just super effective dazzling gleam..?
So I found a use for the mirror herb all out offensive toxapex with merciless and terra grass toxapex is my garchomp killer almost every time they set up with swords dance I copy the stat change with mirror herb then 1 shot it with max attack liquidation don’t know if toxapex is to ou for you to use but it’s a unique set to catches people who try and set up off guard
Is it just Twitter that we have to use? Do you have a Gmail or maybe through RU-vid comments. I'm asking because I don't have a Twitter and I refuse to use that dumpster fire of a website. Also cool video Hayden keep up the good work.
