There is such a small timeframe where he can play especially with Merino and Ødegaard coming back and the hard fixtures later. He must start next weekend.
Mikel will make use of him especially when games are tight and we want to unlock a team, he can also ease workload on Odegard, the season is long with so many games across various competitions.
Nwaneri will play league cup, FA cup, and Champions League with an opportunity to start in those games. Prem he could start but I think he will be more of a substitute.
He was on the 14 mins not 5mins when u include the extra time. Looked excellent but u need to get the mins correct. Later on you mentioned in the couple of mins he was on.
He reminds me of Messi 🤣 and yes, I know how ridiculous this sounds. But the dribbling, the drive forward, the low center of gravity, the finish in the Leicester game.
It is obvious he is ready and able to start for the 1st team but that doesn't mean he should be started. Thing is he is 17 and as a 17 year old not everything should be about football. Maybe education and settling down as a young adult should be the priorities. I don't know his personal dynamics but 17 is young and an important time. At 19 or 21 committing to anything seems normal. Asking someone to commit to football fully (which of course he will do eventually) at 17 seems a bit harsh.
Nwaneri is such a talent but what we are not going to do is STRONGARM Arteta into setting up his team the way WE want. He's the manager for a good reason, and we are nothing more than fans
Yea I agree with you but then Arteta is a little afraid that he is young but if Yamal was treated like a young boy, we won't know what he can do to the extent of being a force in Euro
He is extremely left foot dominant due to a major weakness with his right. I still think he's amazing but Odegaard definitely has a better right foot. Either way, he offers something we don't have and I can't wait to see more.
His technique is a level below Odegaard's. His passing? A level below. His pressing? 3 levels below ... He might become as good or even better, but now Martin is 2 lvls above him. He drives better with a ball, but as for the rest, Martin is a way better player. Nwaneri needs probably 2-3 years to close the gap.
