Why everybody HATES Sonic in The Strongest Battlegrounds (TSB) 

Whenever people actually try to appreciate or just play sonic as a main: *insert a comically wide Garou main screaming*

The reason why i main Sonic is because of his movements. You can literally dodge a deadly move by just using scatter or flash strike. Sonic relies on movement so when you mastered that, you'll be the most hated player in the server. You'll barely see them in-combat. It's a great character when you're battling against teamers. I'll recommend using Sonic to win against teamers. The things I disliked about Sonic is that his combos aren't really true, just use evasive and block and that combo won't do anything. He can get countered easily and Sonic's kit is the worst. His Awakening is a different story. You'll move so fast that players need to react at faster than the speed of sound to counter it. It's a 100% guarantee kill, you cannot escape from it. (Except Tatsumaki with her flying abilities and Saitama with awakening) Ever since I've been using Sonic people call me a spammer when I'm literally doing a combo or a runner when i never went aggresive or just by escaping a combo that could have killed me. Funny thing is that Sonic players have the same personality as the Sonic in the anime. -They came back after losing. -After losing a fight: "How did i lose that fight?" -Runs to refresh moves or to recover. -going up against strong foes. -very annoying. -has beef with Saitama and Genos. -can be goofy sometimes.

Types of things ive seen players trying to do when facing a sonic spammer: 1: spam preys peril, spilt second counter. (pretty much every counter move in the game so far) 2: block every attack. 3: team on a sonic user.

Ive found the counter to runners is just to emote. They just waltz right back to you

me as a spammy sonic player and none of those four categories:

Most people claim how sonics are the runners but when I use sonic i see the exact opposite

As a sonic main, most of the time I can be fighting someone and winning (i haven't gone 5 feet away from them at all), then they call me a runner and full sprint across the map.

As a professional sonic player with 10k+ kills I can safely say base sonic is easy to counter and middle of the road to use. If it's ultimate: P R A Y

I used to hate Sonic so much that I wouls get to a point where I would play with EVERY character except Sonic. That changed one day when I decided to try Sonic, and.. It was quite fun to use honestly. I went on a rampage with him (I got called a spammer) and after that day, I started playing with him.

I started to play TSb when genos added everybody was talking about the next character sonic when sonic added to the game I love the character but also the character has so many issues For example running and other things I'm doing combos to someone and killing him and then he spamming "runner" for no reason if I run or not they are only saying I'm running away Players always see sonic as a running tool nobody sees the character as a normal character

Something I don’t get is how combo-ing with sonic is called spamming but combo-ing with anyone else is just combo-ing

sonic can actually be really good if you know how to combo, and I only like it because it’s AMAZING for runners. SOME PEOPLE OF TSB who use sonic can be good with sonic and don’t really spam, or run and actually know how to combo but it’s a very rare chance as from my experience playing tab,( even though I main sonic)And although most “sonic mains” are kill stealers are we not going to talk about Genos or Destructive Cyborg, like blitz shot and jet dive are probably the moves to EASILY kill steal. AND are we not going to talk about how busted tatsumaki is, like it’s crazy and the moves are really easy to land with the crushing pull, and windstorm fury.

If pro isn't being sweaty, isn't blocking, isn't dashing, isn't combinating keys or skills, isn't comboing... Then what is a pro?

But there is one stereotyped player who exist among the shadows, he uses sonic only because he knows how to use it and counters and supprises everyone. he is just always there, and always existed. But aren’t popular. They are a menace to soiceth and aren’t on any food chain. And may god help us all when they pop their ult. A noob is deadly but a pro is unescapble. I am a good controller player and I can say, sonic is very satisfying to use because you use the triggers and bummers, so they are right next to each other making it feel very smooth, I don’t play sonic much tho because I don’t like sonic even if I’m good with sonic

I enjoyed the video, here is my opinion on using sonic though. If its not exploits, fight to win use as many tactics as possible no matter how underhanded it is if they cry about it just say womp womp because they are hypocritical.

Sonic haters when someone tells them to "just block": Ok, edit: I just finished the video and I'm not so sure about it, there is a fifth type of sonic player I would like to add although it is almost unheard of but it is the type of player I am when I play sonic once every month or two months called the "Anti-Sonic" where the sonic in question will actually fight you and refuse to run or let their enemy run, also, I don't think Sonic is overpowered since, even if they are hard to catch, when they fight or if you don't lose your composure, they are one of the weakest move sets since their cooldowns kinda suck for having a mostly blockable move set, most Sonic users have become so used to not fighting that they forgor how to which means if you're smart and can cancel their wind-ups they can't go anywhere. I can say for certain that the ultimate is absolutely busted and unfair unless the player fighting the sonic ult is just THAT good, I think Atomic is the best counter for Sonic's ult, especially now with his ult being one of the best in the game since not only can his first base move can cancel Straight On and Twin Blade, base 3 can help Atomic get out of Sonic ult 3 and Atmos Cleave litterally puts you over Sonic's four (which isn't mentioned at all in the video despite it litterally giving I-frames), if you're REALLY struggling against Sonic players then the best way to learn how to counter Sonic is to either actively go after Sonics to see how they behave or play sonic to see how you get countered and then use that later on when fighting one, the best piece of advice I can give any Sonic player is to be an "Anti-Sonic" because while the moveset is mid and people love to exaggerate Sonic since it isn't strong just hard to catch, it is actually very fun to play when actively fighting a person. Goddamn that's a lotta text, I'll just spam 'Enter' so that people can see the meme and don't have to read this block of text my god I'm sorry.

i give spammers a taste of their own medicine with my own combo (scatter+4m1+flash strike+turn around+whirlwind kick+ jump+explosive shuriken)

As a sonic in on days i have to say. Sonic runs because he can't block/don't have good combo/or can't attack normally (like front dash)

I use sonic just cuz he's the only character with a purple color theme, which goes well with my avatar. THANK GOD SUIRYU IS NOW IN GAME I AIN'T DEALING WITH THE HATE NO MORE, and suiryu may be a more fun character for me too

7:04 Atomic samurai can zoning while running too, cuz of his 2 moves : Quick slice and pinpoint cut . You can use quick slice and run away but keeping dealing damage. Or you can run away and do unexpected attack , like you are running and using pinpoint cuz and dealing some damage +pinpoint cuz has big knockback.

They hate me as a Sonic main cause I run... I run forward. They also hate me because I abuse back dashes and use my skills right after animation so they can't tell if I'm boutta Scatter, honestly I think it's more on being unpredictable rather than being naive.

also ult the twin blade and straight on just use a move to cancel them also straight on and fourfold strike if u dodge them they stun the player in place at the end of move with no god frames so u can attack them while stund and carnage u can cancel it

Honestly 95% of the hate comes from people who are just bad at the game and refuse to adapt. It's way easier to complain about your problems than to learn how to solve them. -3 out of the 4 moves can be blocked -Nothing is stopping you from playing something like tatsumaki or genos that counters Sonic -A lot of the moves are predictable, moves like flash strike and scatter can easily be countered by observing the animation that plays before activation (OR JUST HOLD F) -Some of the moves can easily be punished if executed poorly (flash strike and whirlwind being good examples) The problem is that, even though it's a relatively well balanced character (except for the Ultimate), people simply choose to say the same excuses over and over and over again without fail. Things like "Spammer" don't even make sense when the character has cooldown on his moves. "Oh nooo, if he gets me into a combo I lose a lot of health!!", that's how EVERY character works, they just deal the damage in different ways and it's up to the player to learn how to avoid that damage. TL:DR Skill issue, get good

You forgot one last category which is the most hardest to encounter for me which is The Pro Sonic player who just runs around you and plays aggressive.

I'm a metal bat nub with 23 kills and a sonic stole my kill (I was fighting a garou) but I somehow managed to dodge his scatter and shuriken by side dashing and then he left :/

They need to make every sonic move blockable cause the monkeys dont deserve the privilege of block break and make every genos move block break cause genos is too weak (definitely not biased)
