I'm a orochi main there is not a single defense I can dish for him he is overtuned as fuck and honestly why is he allowed to spam so many fucking moves....anyway I quit roach and started playing warden
lol orochi is one of the few heroes i have at relatively high reps in my roster, but jeez he really needs some nerfs to his kit. Ive been experimenting how orochi feels when he doesnt have dodge recovery on missed dodge attacks out of principle, so far not conclusively different. But yeah, Roach is the best name for him now.
Let's say i'm an Orochi main (i'm more so of a Black Prior main). Rep 20 or higher, and what have you. I'd still shit on Orochi and anyone else playing the Hero. Even in a bad day or if you have low skill, you'd have better chances of getting 12 kills and 3 deaths in a match. Why? Because OROCHI. So bloody easy of a Hero. I hope the Hero gets a heavy nerf later (moveset or Kunai), and i say this as a Roach hater, i hope they keep the Bash. As if we need another PK situation like we do right now. Buff Peacekeeper and or Lawbringer pls-

@@snowdrifter6187 Pirate is still a nuisance but at least you can still counter her Dodge-Attacks with a Dodge-Attack and anticipate the Whiff-to-Bash and step to the side. Or at least, that's the majority of the Pirates i fight. Just that, in ganks.
Love that you distinguished the difference between pc and console! Been on console my whole career playing FH and everyone seems to misunderstand/forget how much harder it is vs. pc. New sub just cause of that brother!
Everysingle time i face a PC player, damnn i struggle because they can react to almost everything... meanwhile us console player must relay on predictions and reads.
I'm curious if it's just input delay because PC just seems like the reactions are instant while console I have to predict everything just to get the deflect to go off without it cancelling mid deflect or parry vs PC. Console you have .02 seconds not counting latency to react PC its .03 seconds plus latency giving PC priority so half the shit that goes through gets blocked or interrupted by an attack that wasn't even thrown yet on the console players screen. I swear I will just be standing then my character does a move I never threw against PC so I'm just stuck in a infinite combo of attacks I never threw or did and got time rewinded and corrected on me it's only vs crossgen people or people with awful latency.
@@2absolutelynots old Gen is ridiculous. I’ve played on it for 4 years and after being on new Gen for a year or 2 and going back, it’s mostly just off of reads that I “might” get a block. Much less a parry. I don’t know how I survived 4 years of that 😂

Thank you for being a voice for the casual and the consolian, im on a very old ps4 with consistent 100 ping and cannot react to heavies for my life but i get light parries on read consistently and yet i can NEVER read storm rush and kick
@@TheCopyNinja733 the more they buff other hero’s the less bad I feel about playing them. Shaolin is genuinely fun to play so I’ll still hop on him every once in a while
I wish they kept that original deflect, because that is what made orochi, a skilled character. But now he is just easier to play. He is not op, but he is definitely alot easier to play to the point you dont even need to use the deflect if you wanted to
I love roaches and i love even more squishing them with light parries. What i actually hate is how some heroes have guardbreak vulnerability on all the bashes both startup and recovery (glad, warmonger) and some have none (valk, shaolin, shinobi) but most of all fuck high latency vg and bp
I consider myself to be a good player, and even I get shit on by Orochi's spamming Storm rush and I'm on PC. I cannot imagine how busted this move is on console. I can't believe they didn't nerf it when they nerfed Roach a week ago.
As a orochi main I hate orochi especially with his storm rush bash mixup but he’s super fun and I’ve made master with him but at the same time most of his attacks are super reactable even storm rush to me the thing that makes him good is just the storm rush bash mixup

Using old orochi struggles and calling it good is ridiculous literally no openens so attacting first is problematic no bash aka no chain starter eaiser to parry lights so how tf are you supposed yo apply pressure and storm rush was easy to counter by your definition perfect orochi should be a turtle
I don't understand the damage of certain heroes at all. Conq is over here suffering with almost single digit light damage, and Orochi is hitting out ~17 lights and ~30 damage top heavies with teleporting forward movement. We need a better CCU. The initial damage smoothing (post Warmonger update) was done by a computer and there's still remnants of those terrible bot decisions to this day.
U cam simply light him before he reaches u. But when he got a hit on u he can follow up with storm rush withoit u beeing able to light hin before the storm rush hits, so u have to react to it.

@@NedHFlanders Not only far away. Some try to make a mixup between neutral bash, forward empty dodge and storm rush to catch people that are dodging their bash. Just wanted to highlight that hes pretty simple to fight against, Iam not an Orochi main tho, so I donno why the other guy replied with a roach emoji and thinks it would hurt my feelings.
It’s the main reason why I have the super hot and controversial opinion that reflex guard had its place to balance certain heros with dodge cancels, those dodge cancels SHOULD be your defense and you should have a penalty of having to be on your toes in a team fight constantly dodging and weaving and not blocking. Makes his insane recoveries seem a lot more fair.
The thing is though reflex guard wasn't actually making blocking any less viable for the vast majority of players. It made some random punishes work on assassins and nobody else, and hurt bad players. For everyone else, it was just pointless and annoying.

I miss old Roach. He’s been my main since the game came out, and pre-rework, to do well on a higher level as well as outnumbered, you had to have a really good understanding of mechanics and spatial awareness. Now it’s gone, and so is the reflex guard. The reason he was so fun for me was because he was one of the most high risk-high reward heroes in the game. Any slip up and you’d get punished into the ground, but if you knew how to play well, he was very very precise and agile. Now with his bash, recovery cancel, and the forward dash hidden stance, and especially no more reflex guard, all the risk is gone.
Ngl I have the most reps with orochi, he’s my main for sure I get why he gets so much hate with that undodgable bash mixup, I hate fighting him but I love him he’s the best character he’s so fun to kick ass with😂
I used to enjoy Orochi but the rework made him so fucking brain dead and way to easy to play and making storm rush undodgeable from all sides was a mistake.
storm rush = 366 ms = heavy parry punish (storm rush is 600 ms but has reduced indicator making it appear for 366 ms) light attack = 400 ms = light parry punish (light attacks are 500 ms but only appear on-screen for 400 ms, yes that means 400 ms lights are 300 ms) too many braindead tiktok kids on the game these days.
Agreed. I was doing the same. Got destroyed by stromrush. I did go to training and made the bot spam me with it. I was practicing like 4days then i can now parry deflect or block it.

Do i like orochi,yes. Do i hate playing against him, also yes but i can still admit that I like certain things about him. Chief reason among these is the fashion and style.
Even when Orochi gets nerfed I will still play him. I don’t care about him being op or not. I just like his fashion and art style. And his walking animation is 🔥🔥🔥
making storm rush 600ms would be all he needs to get back in line. It's already reactable at high level, but for people like myself, even once I've made the correct read on his using storm rush, I just have to guess which side it's coming from, with a 33% chance of success, giving me a heavy parry, when he gets 16 damage from landing it 2 out of 3 times
I don't meet any good orochi mains these days, they just spam lights with kick and are always in duo , so you're fucked, you cannot have fun facing them... It looks like only elites players now can do deflects,and heavys,without conting his storm rush which i saw a lot of high rep spamming this(like 50 up to 80).
Tired of all these bs reworks... I’d gladly play older hero’s if I could. After all... their bad aren’t they? So it literally is just me handicapping myself. Give me the faking option. I wish I could play Shinobi but his range was what made his character unique and they took that from him. Same as Orochi with deflect heavy... Fake Ubisoft... (the bad F)
Fast attacks, fast speed, busted feats, busted mechanic (dodge recovery) great survivability, extremely easy to use and extremely high damage and punishes. Why would you need to pick any other hero then? The reason: Stinky ass Roach ew.

For me it's his design, Of the launch characters he is the most casual friendly from a design standpoint Thus he attracts a certain dorito mt dew tinged younger fanbase, His is to for honor what genji is to overwatch, What smoke is to mortal kombat, What snake eyes is to G.I joe, These people sometimes pick shinobi if they have them, The axe body spray of the game
Nah roach was always a fitting name. Then and to this day orochis are known for hitting you a couple times then running away when they start losing. Back when you could level running speed with gear, orochis would just run max speed gear and flee the entire match. Annoying af.
roach is probably gonna get nerfed at some point, it makes me sad since ive put so much time into the character but hes way to good in 4v4. he doesnt feel that great in 1's sadly. i hope a rework can turn him into a better duel character and bring down his cheese ability for 4v4
Something i realised about orochis is that they usually op3n with an up light then bash or right lights, dash, left light, so now its more manageable to counter as im able to light parry and get in some chip damage or since i play apollyon just stab em halfway across the map
Only reason i started to play orochi is because of story mode, i loved the flashy dtyle and the deflects back when i started, not i barely touch orochi..

Roach has been an issue since year one. Roach mains would just run the time out if their team lost in Dom back in the day now he's a spam to win champion
Orochi is built to be as annoying as possible wether to be his combat, survivability, hell even his feats. I'm a centurion main but I'll admit saving my teammates from getting executed with a kuni it surprisingly satisfying.
Ways to fix Orochi: Take away his undodgeable properties on left and right storm rush. Give back his heavy deflect. Take away hyper armor canceling on his deflect. (Give it to glad because it makes more sense, at least glad is SKEWERING you. )

And when it was like that, you had the option to mix it up if you knew they were going to sit there and parry your only undodgeable storm rush by using the other two sides. They could still however dodge them. Now imagine if the top wasn’t dodgeable, but the sides were. They have to make a 50/50 read on either side after also making a 50/50 read on the kick-storm rush mixup. Basically, it just forces them to have to do more work when realistically they had a balanced setup for Orochi and only could’ve made his storm rush accessible by dodging forward. That’s all Orochi needed, really. But they glazed tf outta him and made him annoying to deal with

To each his own opinion so don't come and flame me please, but I honestly don't find Orochi that annoying. The moment I installed For Honor I played choose Orochi as my main cause he looked cool and have been using him ever since but when it comes to fighting another Orochi I can almost parry/deflect everything he throws and it's honestly not so hard. Other than the stormrush being too hard on shit screens I don't really hate him. I really do think that Gladiator is one of THE most annoying characters I ever played against.
And before anyone comes and tell me to play another hero because I have it easy. I already started playing characters like Shinobi, Bezerker, Nobushi and Peacekeeper. I am decent with 2 and just as good with the other 2.
Problem wird Storm Rush is its hidden Indicator. Attack itself is 600ms but indicator shows after 233 ms meaning that roach has 366ms heavy undodgable heavy from neutral and instead of nerfing these timings they just nerfed damage 😑
I miss heavy deflect Orochi and when his storm rush could be used as a dodge attack. Also miss the turtle king Conqueror with the wall splat shield bash and free heavy on blocks
Nova King was the reason I got into Orochi as an original secondary character, he was just fun to play. Nowadays, I play him because I like to play him, still satisfying to deflect.
I hate glad varingian and afeera as well. I think they have little to no weakness, feels frustrated every time i fight them. Almost like Auto win heroes
Used to play him a lot more, he is still my highest rep. But now that he is so easy to play i find myself not playing him. But i've always played more characters plus, shaman exists.
I like Orochi's hero skin and his damages are finally adjusted to be fair especially that zone attack. But what's irritating about fighting that character is the storm rush spammers plus toxic players that go try hard the moment they lose one time to an opponent (had these happen to me before). Orochi mains will be the first to taunt and run around the maps especially in elimination.
i feel like whats missing from this video is also how almost all orochi mains think they are hot shit and will emote spam and be toxic only after 1 kill
