Its insane that nick diaz was banned for 5 years for marijuana but Jon Jones got less time suspended even if you include his two failed drug tests and hit and run of a pregnant woman😂😂
He popped more times than that but it was swept under the carpet by the JooFC, and even hid under an octagon to avoid USADA's drug testers. As soon as you're hiding THAT hard from a normal test, you must be guilty
Dc never defeated Jones . But Jones never defeated dc clean . I don't think dc wants to be a fighter like him . Dc is the goat . 2 devision champion . He is the goat . He ain't getting that respect because he lost to him . I think dc would have defeated Jones if Jones was clean . (Imo)
@@luci4463imo while those two wins would’ve been HUGE, when comparing his legacy to the other TOP 5 GOATs, those two wins would’ve definitely pushed him into the top 5 but that alone would still have him behind DJ, Gsp, and Silva. He’d definitely be past Aldo but those wins would’ve also changed the rest of his career so he probably could’ve been the goat
@@RemyKingKen thing is that I would have agreed with your point but . Look at dc . He looks like he should be at middleweight . He is competing at heavyweight and light heavyweight . 2 of the most punishing devisions . Where one punch can kill you immediately. he was a champ at those two devisions . Not to mention he was he was holding those two belts simultaneously . That is a goat stuff bro . Only two people have done this is UFC history . I think we should just give the respect dc deserves
@@luci4463 that’s part of the point I was making. Not to mention the entire point of him moving back to hw was because Cain retired along with that NC against Jon(hollow belt argument). Idt he even tries to contend for the hw belt again, if he does and has his wars at hw the same way I still wouldn’t have him above gsp silva or DJ. You don’t get extra credit for getting win streaks at heavier weight classes, it should 100% be factored into the discussion but winning 2 fights at HW aren’t some legacy defining feat because he was reigning lhw champ. It’s the culmination of all of it. 4 time champion, 2 time ufc champion with over 5 defenses, I have him just behind volk but the gap between them is smaller than the gap toward the rest of the Top 5.
The problem, most people don't hate him, if you give Jon any amount of criticism online, you get flooded with 20+ fan boys trying to call you out for it.
His fan base are all under 20 year olds who don’t even watch his fights.. they just hang on to this ‘undefeated” title for dear life.. is like Maywheather fans but in mma.. pure casuals of the sport
I really don’t know why the ufc is hellbent on giving jones the best send off possible and giving him the easiest fight possible, he may be the most accomplished fighter of all time but he is a horrible representative of the sport.
That’s what is so bizarre to me, too. He’s a total disaster to the sport. Send him off by getting KO’d by Tom so we can translate all of his juice and kudos over to the current generation. Shows a clear evolution and maturation of the sport, increases legitimacy and revenue-generating star power for the new champ, and I literally can’t imagine a better ambassador for the sport than Tom, he has everything inside and outside the cage.
My thought process on his entire career is that he's ALWAYS been a fraud, and has simply just been given lucky wins and victories over primarily people not in their prime, while he's been juiced up the whole time too mind you.
Dana white is hellbent on that (is in their best interest to keep his legacy intact, Jon is like the Jordan of MMA to Dana, so he’s gonna do everything to send him off as the “goat”🤡 💉
@@Switcheroo1 thing is it really does not seem like it's in their best interest at all, right? Is Jones a massive PPV draw really? Does he transcend the sport (I guarantee none of my friends have ever heard of him, they're not UFC fans)? I think it weirdly comes down purely to Dana's personal emotions, nostalgia and bias. We all tell ourselves stories and recycle them over time until it's some immutable truth which is part of our identity, almost. We crave projecting a consistent image to the world. We cherry pick anything that might support our bias and avoid anything that challenges it. Dana subconsciously wants to be proven right for the countless times he's said "Jon Jones is the greatest", to the point that he is actively warping the sport to engineer scenarios that promote Jones, when in a sane world Jones would have been dropped from the UFC in disgrace years ago.
@@pjmartinWadeSolutionshe just wants the money and the hype that fight would build .. it’s obvious.. he would eat Tom and Alex in the same night lol not really but you know what I mean .. btw Alex walks around 225-235 on the regular so he’s not naturally 205 .. but Jon wasn’t planning on staying for long he just wanted to win the heavyweight title to prove himself at heavyweight’s and that he is the goat .. he’ll retire after 1 or 2 more fights .. 3 at max
how is he “cooked” only you causal Mfs who just started watching the sport say shit like this. Real fans of the sport know jones has been dominating for 15 years and is almost 40 now, there’s nothing left to prove, why would he fight a younger dude who has nothing to offer Jon legacy wise….
@@tyharris856 it does more for legacy than stipe lol. stipe just takes from Jons legacy. plus Jon in 16 title fights has only ever fought 3 opponents younger than him. it would be special, stipes just a joke
I think jones did enough to win that fight. And as champion for over a decade , I feel a close decision should always go to the dominant champion. He didn’t have to knock jones out but running for the last 3 rounds was a bad look. Jones is the rightfully winner. Especially jones conquered the HW strap and where is Reyes now? Is Reyes even In The ufc?
Anyone who knows how much steroids help with your recovery, help with intensity, help with increasing the overall number of training sessions, and allowing those sessions to go longer, would not call this guy the goat of anything. He cheated. It was never about being stronger… it was always about the recovery, intensity, and duration of his training sessions. I cycled steroids for ten years… I was able to do at least 65% more of everything. If I was a fighter, I would have been able to learn more, train more often, train harder, and recovery from fatigue and injury significantly more than my opponents… that’s cheating. Anderson did it, Royce did it, Jon did it. None are goats
Oh so why is only the DC fight as NC? No other was shown he cheated. Fighters say Jones is one of the best or the best, Chimaev did, GSP, Khabib, Tom Aspinall says he wants to beat the best... It's only the fans that think he owes that to steroids that were shown for a fight in which the level still poses a question of whether it affected his performance.
@@jimmygundes6266he popped 6-7 times but only got banned 2-3 times since they couldn't find excuses to protect him, AND he was hiding under an octagon to avoid USADA's drug testers (guilty ASF), anyone with an IQ over 80 IQ (aside from Jones' disingenuous fans) can deduce he was obviously juiced for all of his career
@@jimmygundes6266 true man, the only reason they hate him is because he isn't a good human. Even I don't like Jones as a human, but he is my favorite fighter, the way he fights is just cool to me. All them haters straight up act as if he is the only one on roids. People just ignore all the things he did in LHW just because he isn't fighting Tom at the moment.
For a long time I always said I disliked Jones outside the cage, but could appreciate he was a monster in the cage. I'm losing that "in the cage" respect now. He's not even pretending that he's willing to fight Aspinall, he's just blissfully ignoring one of the best heavyweights who literally has a belt that means "fight the champ" next... Also, he's just a scumbag outside the cage, which doesn't help his case
No one cares kid, jones is almost 40 now and has been dominating for 15 years everyone fades after a while it’s weird how you’ve switched up on jones just because he wants a legacy fight with stipe before he retires…
Yep....so he tested positive for steroids.......again, nevada said they wouldn't allow him to fight without an investigation, essentially canning the fight...
Also in gus 2 they moved the fight to a different state because the commission wouldnt sanction his fight because of the amount of steroids in his system.
If he hadn't committed such heinous things in his life and make the UFC look like a complete joke, god would not have sent me upon him, as I will be showing up on the scene in the near future. Retirement won't save him from having his career being challenged and exposed.
@@paulietv2162 Not at all, I've disliked him from the start. He never seemed right to me with his public persona, something just felt off. It didn't take long to see his real side. Guy is a cheat, amongst many other personal problems. He pretty much destroys everything he touches which in part is why he is such a good fighter, PED's aside.
@@AwareWolfOnWheels Are you looking to date him or watch him fight? Why don't you have the same hatred for Stipe who has an even worse attitude than Jones? It's because you have not been instructed to hate on Stipe by these MMA channels yet
guru ? mma guru ? same f@t f@k that cant keep his promises ? he made a deal that if jones beats gane he will stop making prediction videos, he even made video why gane 100% will win and destroy jon.
Instead of powering up his legacy, Jon Jones had actually significantly weakened it down with a Heavyweight move. Should have retired right after Cyril Gane fight
I think dude has been on steroids for a lot of his career, not only just being a cheater but ruining other people's career with an unfair advantage he is an extremely talented fighter but without cheating, only God knows how good would of been
You're going to see how "good" he is when I beat him in the near future, or when he runs from me like he's been doing with Tom. Because I'm showing up on the scene in the near future, and you're going to see why that is. We'll see how much of a "extremely talented fighter" he is when he isn't facing against his spouse.

@@cimplekin That doesn't matter, being past your prime doesn't excuse him from fighting contenders. That's the consequences that comes with the belt. You have to fight anyone that deserves a title shot
He’s holding up the division (FIGHT TOM, SIMPLE) just let go it’s clear you’re too scared to fight . He fights dirty poking people in the eye and tho it’s legal he oblique kicks. That whole hitting a pregnant women with his car and running away didn’t help and it’s almost as if he didnt feel remorse for ALOT of his actions rather only felt bad for what he might have lost. The UFC FAVORS him and has controversial wins over guys like Dom and Alex G. He has “Dana white privilege” and is handed everything he wants. I understand he has TREMENDOUS fight IQ there’s no arguing that but but if he was SO great he wouldn’t have done PEDs and fought dirty. He SUCH an AMAZING talent and I admire that about him it’s just all the bullshit he has pulled, he could have been mentioned with the like of Muhammad Ali but I know we aren’t all perfect not even Ali was. We all make mistakes and accept and forgive people but when you do it over and over and over it’s like at some point you got to learn and I hope Jon jones does just that.
All I hear is COPE, bro is telling a nearly 40 year old washed up jones who has been through countless wars over the past 15 years to fight a young up and comer instead of just retiring, you are stupid, even if Tom won it wouldn’t be impressive Jon is way out of his prime…..
Honestly they should just do jones a favor and keep him in that orange jumpsuit amd behind bars for a while to see if he learns his lesson. The problem is that he keeps getting released after he fucks up so of course hes going to keep acting like a criminal because what consequences is he getting.
"Everybody" doesn't hate Jon Jones. Dude has more fans than most MMA fighters and ALL "influencers". HATERS hate EVERYBODY (especially winners) why would a GOAT be any different. He's allowed to make and break rules BECAUSE he's as good as he is, that's the way it works, guys, not the other way around. Not saying that's right, but it IS what it is. Win at life and you get perks.
Imagine if Jon doesn't fight me when I show up on the UFC scene just to fight him, because I'm going to be calling him out once I'm in there and he won't stop me when I do.

Jon Jones is actually the reason why I'm training to get into the UFC tbh, I just pray and hope he DOESN'T retire just before or just after I show up on the scene, or before he even gets to fight Tom.

@@The-Black-Death What’s your name then? What promotion are you currently fighting with? You have any fight videos posted? Id love for you to prove me wrong but I guarantee your full of crap. You’re not even good at pretending
Yes, because he's holding up a division to fight Stipe who everyone thought was retired, while there's there's interim champ. It's that's simple, Jon's past doesn't matter, Jon's injury doesn't matter, what matters is that there's an interim champ. So Jon either needs to vacate the title and fight Stipe, or fight Tom. Hill did it, Jiri did it, why can't Jon?
Random: Paddy should go back to his Original hair. The braided hair did NOT work for Paddy. O'malley can pull it off but paddy's OG look suited him more. George Hardwick WILL make it in MMA! Yes his Dana white contender series didn't go his way but he fought a beast. George deserves to get a shot in the UFC. Other fighters got a short notice shot call in the UFC. Give Hardwick a shot!
McGregor was blue collar before the game and money but Jon is a little weird and I think that's the reason people gravitate towards Conor. People that love Jon probably hate DC or something, DC had way better "legitimate" fights throughout his career overall but casuals would beg to differ.
love it when people say "everyone" like, thanks for talking to everyone aside from me? lol. imho, many many people hate Mcgregor too. i think your just experiencing a little confirmation bias. no shame in that. ive heard some insanely bad things said about Mc while in the same breath they say Bones is the GOAT. truth is, they are both controversial. meaning, loved and hated by many. they both have redeeming qualities so its not hard to imagine why they would be loved too. but, hate is always loudest anyway! happy weekend :)
People love /hate both of those. They were both legends inside the octagon but bad characters outside it. Maybe the Steroid usage of Jones might add more hate too which Conor didn't.
I just saw the Reyes fight for the first time. Jones definitely lost that. Having said that, you don't have to like the guy but the current criticism he's getting is completely unfair. He's been calling out Stipe since before he got the heavyweight belt and hasn't changed his goal so he's not ducking anyone. If I had to wait 3 years to fight for the belt, I wouldn't give it up either. The UFC should have never made that interim belt cuz Jon didn't vacate so he doesn't owe Tom anything. Stipe ducted Sergey and Tom but no one talks about that. If Tom wants to fight so bad he should fight Alex, It would be an easy fight for him For the same reason people say it's a easy fight for Jones. If he beats Alex that gives enough off cred to challenge Jones undeniably. Why is he wasting time fighting Curtis blades instead of waiting for Alex to be ready? If he beats blades it's not going to change a thing and no one's going to be impressed.
no. Jones needs to unify the belt or vacate... it's that simple. your wall of text is pointless. also, literally nobody cares about the Stipe fight. nobody
@@William-Morey-Baker The interim belt should have never been made. Probably another one of Dana's tricks cuz he doesn't like Jones to try and force him to fight someone he had no intention fighting. Francis stands up to Dana and everyone Cheers, him on, Jones does it and everyone whines.
The first time DC faced Jon he was 35 years old. When DC said it I had to go look back to make sure and be like damn. I lost all respect for Jon Jones. Now that he is in the disadvantaged position he wants no smoke. F him
Jones has been hiding down at LHW his entire career with the same height/reach as Francis Ngannou. He took fights vs literal Middleweights rather than moving up to make super fights with Cain Velasquez, Fabricio Werdum, Anthony Jhonson or Francis(not to mention Stipe in his 30's). He wouldn't move up to fight DC who started their trilogy at 36 and had a harder time each fight making weight. Frankly dude is the most overhyped cheat the sport has ever seen, his win over Gane was a neck crank--a move that should be considered small joint manipulation and 100% illegal as are his knee kicks and the arm crank that injured Glover Teixeira. That doesn't even touch on his PED usage or the complete robbery of Dominck Reyes.
I truly don’t know how Pereria is doing this at 37, I like to make the excuse that Jon jones is old as fuck and washed but they’re the same age lmao. Jones is still top 5 to ever do it and no ones is taking that away
I think Alex has just treated his body better, he isn't known for doing drugs or partying for days straight. Alex just seems more disciplined, it shows by their actions. Jon gets drunk and beats his wife. Alex meditates and trains constantly.
Bro you either know nothing about jon jones, or you're just simply lying... "Another young hungry challenger being put in his place." Uh Jones didn't fight any young hungry challengers in his entire title reign... He literally fought one, in Reyes, and he lost but was gifted the decision... hahahah acting like Jones is the clear goat is quite silly... GSP was far more complete and fought better competition by far.
Don't worry fam I'm still coming for him since I'll be showing up in the UFC scene in the near future just to make him look bad, especially if he retires and refuses to fight me, someone less experienced and shorter than him, but younger and somehow has a better fight record than he's ever had for all the years he's been fighting for now. I can promise you that much at least.
Being open about cheating with eye pokes and popping for steroids will never be pound for pound best ever. As much as the ufc wants to forget all of that. Real fans won’t
I’m waiting for that Jon vs Stipe and then if Jon wins, Jon vs Alex. If Alex wins, then it will be historical for having 3 championships in 3 weight classes and I think he is the main guy to receive the torch from Jon.
Anytime Dana talks about responsibility to the other fighters on the card, I roll my eyes The main guy against fighter pay criticizing jones for not fighting in the card
I don't hate anyone, but I actually feel sorry for him.. Once you know what causes this level of narcissism, you know too, the deep psychological wounds it takes, to become an elite athlete on a sociopathic level.. sort of like he AND his brothers.. his NPD, is why he lashes out the way he does. He hated on Izzy, because critics, were saying he was like Jones.. and so he trolls and challenges a guy a division below him..? And so then he "took" what DC had, as a champ, champ but now wants to be like Khabib, defend and retire "undefeated". But if you were paying attention, he would get noticibly pissed when anyone would call Khabib the GOAT or the #1 P4P.. which is always a divisional idea. And so lastly this narcissism rears its head again, as he sees Alex rise through 2 divisions, everyone loves him.. and so boom, AGAIN.. challenges a guy a division below him.. whew, its embarassing at this point.
