Why everyone hates on ROPPONGI

If you look around the internet you will come to the conclusion that ROPPONGI must be the worst place on earth. People keep repeating how dangerous it is, how it's a place for touts and prostitutes, a place were foreigners and "gaijin-hunters" find together in sleazy clubs and bars.
But is it really that bad? Is there nothing good about Roppongi?
Hear my thoughts and enjoy the view from a balcony that is facing towards Roppongi Hills and Mori Tower.

I enjoy golden gui and the non sketch pubs but the touts are extremely annoying and its irritating that they dont leave you alone when you say no

I completely forgot to mention: There is now a SNOOPY museum in Roppongi and they are currently having a Doraemon exhibition in Roppongi Hills. Can you REALLY hate that?

I lived in Roppongi for 2 years as a kid, in the Homat West apartment block. I LOVED it. We loved the central location, walking past Mr Donut, Hard Rock Cafe and Pink Almond on the way to school everyday. On the way home, a great view of Tokyo tower. Of course, by night time we were fast asleep!

Literally my worst experience on my vacation to Japan highly recommend to not visit this place.

Alot of Nigerians on the street just harassing me and my friends, there was a guy who told me i was broke because of my nationality, they were just overly aggressive and annoying. we got lured into one of those Nigerian bars where there were prostitutes and drinks were 1500 yen, we left the bar and the place as soon as we could after one drink. Overall just a terrible experience.

I respect your opinion. That definitely IS one side of Roppongi. You can easily avoid that by just ignoring the guys that offer you stuff on the street, whatever it may be. There are still tons of awesome bars, restaurants and other things to do in Roppongi. The things you stated are very concentrated around Roppongi crossing and the street down to the Donki.

Yes we definitely learned our lesson, but i wont let that one experience sour my japan trip. Overall Japan is the best place i've ever visited and i am definitely going back! Thank you for your input aswell. Where would you recommend we go next time? i would really like to party with some local folks. i feel Roppongi is over saturated with tourist and expats

I liked this video a lot, and subscribed. I came across you because I searched the word Roppongi in RU-vid. An acquaintance had previously mentioned the name Roppongi to me. I love Japan. I have only been to Osaka once, but from across the Pacific I have always thought Japan was cool and the women are jaw dropping beautiful. I heard that Japanese women discriminate against foreigners (Caucasian) though. So Roppongi sounds like a place I'd like to visit. What are some names of clubs where I could look for a gaigin hunter! Besides clubs, are they in the street as well? Thank you a million for any response!
