it's definitely one of those moments where you feel your brain start to pour out of your ears because the complexity slowly melts it into a viscous goop
The first 3 steps are still good as a strategy: Get Benjamin get a farm get 2/0/0 Get another farm Get 2/2/0 Upgrade the 1st to 202 then sell it Turn the remaining farm into a bank with the money from the sellout It works pretty well and gets you a tier 3 farm by round 17; tier 3 farms earn an acceptable income, while tier 2 and below farms are awful
@@hobomike6935 why Benjamin? Is there any beginner friendly tutorial on farming? This content creator doesn’t care if we’re not all equally experienced
Marketplaces generate lives and also collect themselves, this thing generates severe headache and takes too much effort for a game about monkeys popping baloons.
I Don't know what is more insane, the level of micromanagement you have to do with your farms, or the fact that boat farming is still faster. I know that boat is always the answer, but boat farming being that fricking good is just insane.
@@hobomike6935 i don't know what your argument is aiming at but you can add water to maps without water. you can also just select a map with water on it
@@franz009franz yea, but theres a lot you can do better with a boat, on coop with geraldo, or a lot you can do worse on a map with multiple entries and exits etc…
Right?! I'm too lazy to do anything but marketplaces. The others stress me out or I have to use a banana farmer. I don't bother with the banks, because then I'm not having fun
i play BTD really casually and enjoy watching BTD content here and there, after watching 5 minutes of this 7 minutes long video i thought this was an april fools joke or sth this is insane haha
1: If you're not ultraboosting your farms by the mid 80s, are you even farming? 2: The tier five middle path farm is also worth getting as it makes bank with that amazing ability (pun intended) 3: This is super hands on and active. If you are going that route, isn't running IMF loans with proper depositing more efficient? 4: I think that this might be more efficient than is even really necessary for an elite boss. In which case, is it worth such a hands on approach?
This is SUCH a benign way of making money... on any map where there's enough water for 10 merchant ships near the water, those are easily obtainable with Benjamin by round 30, producing enough money to get a few banks one each round then start on marketplaces. After 10 markets are down pop them all to Central markets then the merchants to favoured trades ships. By round 60 you're making roughly 30k/round.
and i thought farming in general wasnt that fun this takes the annoyance to the next level, but its also cool to see such strategies heard that if you finish doing this you can go study quantum physics
Great video! Next time I think a lot of us would appreciate if you would introduce the easier option first and mention that you have a crazy improved version afterwards.
Vid idea: Go over all the forms of alt eco in battles 2, and explain how you should use them and any other notable things. For example, heli is extremely efficient, but costs a ton and adds very little to your defence. Or mention how sniper is kinda expensive and not that efficient, but provides good defence on its own.
what i do is i get a village and surround it with 520 farms and one farmer, then do monkeynomics and forget i cant do it twice. the rest of the map is filled with 052 banks
This is insane. I love it! That being said, I wonder what the most efficient Geraldo farming route is, as that's more effective late game with the See Invisibility Potion for Monkeyopolis, Rejuv Potion for Monkeynomics, and Fertilizer for Banana Central.
I think that, with infinite money, geraldo with the paragon totems and other buffs is considerably better than benjamin, but ezili BAD curse is quite good too
It's much worse. Trig actually makes sense. I wish Hbomb would make a video explaining why he's doing what he's doing. I just get a few 023 marketplaces (024 on Impoppable) or 230 banks if I have Ben. I might do some boat farming if I can. If I get deep into freeplay, I go for a 250 farm. What he's doing is WAY over my head.
This is awesome, BTW, 1/0/4 alchs turning bloons gold prior to being gobbled up by bloom trap helps too! On this map specifically I had some 1/0/4alchs, 0/2/5 Engineer, 0/2/4 village at the beginning of the map. Overclock the 0/2/5 engineer so he places traps faster. IMO this weeks boss event was a blessing in disguise when it comes to farming strategies. For months it’s always been monkeyopolis or boat farming for boss events.
My favorite farm method is using 2-0-0 farms with 1-3-0 for the early game and for mid game get a 1-4-0 druid for the ability (put the farms in range of the druid)
My favorite money maker is the 0-2-4 Alchemist..I like to load up my screen with them because I like the sound it makes. Also the Druid, Sniper, and Engineer. Also the Pirate ship when I can. Banana farms are to expensive and I never really need them tbh.
when optimised slightly better on resort, lasting with free dart monkey till round 15, etc. I managed to get my 2 farmopolis by round 30 and ended with 86k on round 40 after getting 2 extra 023 farms and a 004 buccaneer.
I often get 0-3-2 banks. They share the auto-collection feature marketplaces have and generate more income per round. Marketplace's only advantage is that every $ is collected instantly while you have to wait several rounds before collecting the whole shebang.
Monkeyopolis got nerfed. Even though in my opinion it is one of the worst towers already, but now it blatantly gives you less money than if you were to keep your farms.
if they'd come down on the f///ing startup cost for the 3rd upgrade ($10,000+ for a _little_ extra income from pops? bruh. have mercy.) it might be a viable alternative. but as it stands, the only useful villages are the top and middle paths.
I use a little known farming strategy that can get me a Dark Champion on round 60. I keep building 2-0-0 Farms until the space fills up, and I micro. This is super efficient. Then I keep transforming my 2-0-0s into 3-2-0s until it's full, and micro. If I go for Paragons I make all of them 4-0-0s and one of them a Central. After that I sacrifice like 8 4-0-0s into the monkey village, and replace them. I get roughly 150k per round post round 100-120.
What a lot of people do when there’s water on the map, is that they only go boat farming and central markets. It’s really efficient but if you go for a 2-4 brf opolis after you’ve got a trade empire, 20 merchantman and 2 central markets, you will get more money by round 60 than if you would only go for 024 farms. After the opolis you can keep spamming 024 farms
Hey, you should do a video on glue stacking! It's common knowledge that the three different glue types don't stack on a single bloon in BTD6, but the glue strike and glue storm debuffs _technically_ can be used at the same time top and bottom path glue. I say "technically" because there's a lot of weird (possibly unintended) behavior that comes with stacking glue, and I think it would make for an interesting video. Stuff like how glue strike can potentially cause bloon solver to completely ignore certain bloons if it's dissolve debuff wears off before glue strike, or how with moab glue a glue storm can extend the moab glue duration to last way longer than it would ever stick normally
A useful trick that I always use when there’s water on the map but not enough that a 004 boat can reach anywere on the map for more sellback, is I use 050 heli to do the boat into the heli (with doorgunner mk). Then I can move it around the map and get sellback anywhere
Why everyone is gives crappy titles to their videos "Stop doing this!" I get frustrated with these titles, they are insulting. You don't know how I farm, but apparently you are the only one doing it right in the entire world. I partly blame youtube, because they damned near make you use click bait titles, but I'm making a new rule for myself that I'm not gonna watch vids that start by insulting everyone on the planet.
As someone that hasn't changed my farming strat for bosses in ages, I'm glad there's a more efficient method. Thanks for breaking it down relatively easily!
Cool strategy! Definitely going to try it sometime. I was just curious: What's the point of upgrading one of the first two farms to 202 instead of just leaving it at 200, especially if you just sell it after? The bottom path doesn't generate you any additional income, so why waste the money on it?
@@realbignoob1886 I just tested it, and they're right. Adding the first two bottom path selections cost 270 and 215 in hard (so 485), but sell value goes from 1937 to 2610 (or 673 more). So almost 200 more. I don't understand it either.
I'm definitely using the 2nd bank strat in all my games from now on, not the first one though... Don't get me wrong, an opolis pre-round 40 is nuts but... Not very fun if I do it every single time in normal games.
It’s awesome how the boss battles have forced the community to absolutely push farming efficiency through the roof. I will say though, unless you’re playing elite ranked or with added difficulty you impose on yourself (like if you remove towers or whatever) this is so much more efficient than regular elite needs
I really like just having a 2/0/5 surrounded by 4/2/0's (and one 5/2/0). A bit slow to get up and running but once its up you get an insane amount of cash money mula. by the time it's up it isn't really worth it anymore though so thank you for this guide! :D
Thanks dude now every time someone uses marketplaces they are gonna be made fun of by your fans and be called idiots who don't know how to play the game
A method I found works better is to buy 6 0-0-0 banana farms, upgrade them to 2-0-0 banana farms, upgrade 5 of them to 2-0-2 banana farms, then upgrade the one that's not a 2-0-2 to a 3-2-0. Then when all the sell values of the 5 2-0-2 banana farms will give you enough to buy a banana reacerch facility, sell them and get a brf. repeat but w/ one less 2-0-2 banana farm each time, so on the sixth one there are none, and you just wait for the money. Then buy more and when you have like 10 or maxed for your map, upgrade one to a banana central. I generally like to get a monkey wall street next to as many other banana banana farms as possible, even if it means selling a brf, but it is not neccacary. It just takes the stress from having to pick up the crates. I would normally go till I max out the map, but you can stop farming at any time that you are all brf-s or better.
this is a bad way you go for ben, dart monkey to 0-2-4, and a farm bring the farm to 0-2-3 and make more 0-2-3 until you have around 40k, then sell all 0-2-3 and get plantations around a village(1-0-4) upgrade farms to research facility, and get mokeyopolis, then get a wallstreet under it and get a central to the left or right of the wallstreet as fast as possible
If you want to make farming money more complicated, you can use exactly these strategies. Else use one 025 banana farm together with some 420 and one 520 banana farm around the 025 farm
Little correction to the strat if In coop : instead of selling the 2-0-2 farm on round 17 to buy the bank sell it at the last 2 Bloons on round 16 so you can get all of the bank ticks which adds up to over 500 dollars overall
Honestly I do not care. If I ever play any non casual modes which I won't, I'll just use market places or banks. I don't need amazing perfectly optimized farming for this game. It's just more work for a casual player
The way I farm is different but super effective even without any buffs. 1. Have a map with a wide area that can fit roughly 4X3 monkey farms. 2. Place 8 farms in a hollow square shape that surround a monkey village space in the middle. 3. Get all farms to 4-2-0 then then and upgrade the monkey village to a 2-0-5 so it absorbs everything. 4. Place a monkey wall street to the inner-middle side then surround it with 4-2-0 farms and the 2-0-5 village. This let's you cram heaps of farm profit into a much smaller area and removed any need to collect the bananas yourself. Only problem is that if you make a mistake, you have to sell some farms to try again.
There is no right or wrong way to use any tower, crosspath, even placements. There are ways that they work BETTER, but that doesn't make every other way of use wrong.
This video is a god send for min-max nerds such as myself that just need to know for the sake of knowing, what an ideal or at least close to ideal max farming strat looks like to satisfy that itch in the back of your brain! Tysm!
If you are a math god then you can also spend long amounts of time to compare each and every farm with each and every crosspath too just to see what is the most cost effective way to spam.
I spam market places then sell them for banana factories. Once I run out of space I sacrifice them to a village and get tier 5 factory overclocked. The cash gains are insane.
Honestly my favourite farming strat is spamming 0-0-4 buccaneers and one 0-0-5 with a bunch of central markets and usually monkey wall street, can usually make 100k-200k depending on the amount of farms and buccaneers
All I do for massive farming is surround monkey city with 8 or less 4-2-0 farms, then make monkeyopolis, then surround it with up to 7, 4-2-0 farms and 1, 5-2-0. Not to complicated… I also put as many 0-2-4 buccaneers as possible, and sometimes in the opposite corner of my monkeyopolis, I do 2-0-5 farm surrounded with up to 8, 4-2-0 farms And if you wanna go insane, you can do fertilizer with Geraldo, or use Benjamin in the game
Personally, unless I'm doing a boss, all I do is use Ben and about 4 2-3-0 Banks (adjusting as needed for higher rounds such as 80 and 100) and it seems to get me by just fine with ending at about 3-4 T5s depending on the T5s I use
I been playing btd6 sense the year it came out, and I still learn things here and there from this guy, even when he posy something I already knew I will still watch it cause its just good videos.
this is kinda complicated so heres what i do(best for late games with no bosses): 1)get your hero and free dart monkey down(you could also upgrade your dart monkey) 2)save for a banana farm and put it in the corner of the map, DONT upgrade it 3)save for 7 more banana farm and put then in a ring formation, like how you craft a chest in minecraft, DONT UPGRADE ANY OF THE FARMS 4)place a village in the middle and upgrade it to a 1-0-2, and dont sell the village, youll need it later 5)upgrade all your farms to 4-2-0, but DONT upgrade any of them to the 5-2-0 6)then upgrade your village to a 1-0-4, 7)i found out that if you ultraboost the village, so ultraboost it 10x 8)after you ultraboost it 10x get more farms in the range of the village 9)then ultraboost the village again and quickly(because theres a short ammount of time after every ultraboost when the tower gets more range and damage) get the 1-0-5 10)after that, place down a farmer right next to the village 11)get more 4-2-0 farms in the range of the farmer, and get one 5-2-0 farm trust me this will make you TONS of money so you can get all the paragons also make sure that you make more defence so you dont lose
Idk man just getting a 240 farm and increasing your money by 15% per round is pretty cool, and getting more allows for increased percentage. Also Ben makes it a lot better
Everyone - Finds a good Meta H Bomb - Correct the entire community about how they are missing out on a 1 cash difference. Seriously thank you for teaching us though.
I play deflations by slapping down 3 0-0-2 villages and upgrading my towers around them, then selling them and getting my hero and any Tier 4-5 upgrades.
Nice video and a thoroughly thought out strategy. The micro and timing is a bit like higher level Gemcraft. Never thought I'd be saying that about a Bloons game.
