I find this to be a problem which causes a bigger problem for foreigners in the near future. This gentlemen just compared pricing with a property in California. As many RU-vidrs point out you should always realize that you are In a Philippine Market using Pesos and should not compare it to the country you came from. What this gentleman should understand is when you are living in California we are talking about clean water out of your faucet, hot water, regulated electrical grid that does not go down, constant internet, great roads, traffic lights, cultural events, sporting events, fine dining and many other items that come with living in a country like the Unites States. I am not saying this is a bad unit. I m just saying do a better evaluation when you are doing a comparison. What we are doing here is inflating the prices here in the Philippines and we are doing it to ourselves.
Thank you for posting this. Thailand has a plethora of condos that are fully furnished and very nice. I have been waiting for more insight on what is available in Philippines.
It's worth what people will pay. He is willing to pay. You or I might not think there is value in the apartment, but he and his wife do. I don't see value in watching the Kardashians on tv, but many do and can't imagine why people watch that crap. He said he watched it being built and told his wife he wanted to live there one day. "Veni, vidi, vici"
How much do you think it should cost? From what Paul and his friend are saying the place is definitely higher quality than others they've seen renting for $200-500/month.

@@bigbearhugebear9018 Good question. She seems to have plenty of room for hosting her church greeters(15 woman) and other friend events. The bedrooms are very good size and house the bed and a dresser/closet for clothes.

It's probably a south facing window and he can't literally see the sun . Sunrise and sunset are horizon events. Fairly easy to see both. You do need to be awake though. 🙂
Don't forget that this is VERY expensive for the Philippines. Most lawyers barely make 950 $ per month there. The cabinets in the kitchen have a 70's touch to them. I can find much cheaper flats like it in Europe, like rural Italy, for example. Including all electricity it looks a bit better.... 😊
Wow that's 55000p a month. I came here to spend less not equal too or more. My last apartment in the US 2 years ago was 750. Dollars a month 1 bedroom with pool. In Philippines that could buy you a really nice place 3bd 3 bath but don't need to spend so much.
Yes but fully furnished and no utility cost. Since they never insulate the costs for running air conditioning in the whole house like this can be $250 month. Free parking another $100 month, no LP cost so actually you're at $600 for fully furnished.
So he had to give 2 months deposit to move-in total130,000 peso. So why is he saying $950 including cable, parking, water electric etc..? Half of 130,000 is 65,000 peso = $1,129 just for rent. Am I missing something?

@@johninsocal8544it’s because he’s actually paying all the utilities and adds them in to his rent to come up with the $950 - $1,000 a month. He just explained it in a roundabout manner. Towards the end he explained it a bit differently.
@@charlesbronson5235that would make the math even more deviating. Because paying 130.000 for 2 months rent as deposit... But thats MORE than 950 usd. And if 950 usd is incouding a lot things, then the rent would theoreticly be even less than 950usd. Maybe 750 usd for base rent. Making the 130.000 pesos for 2 month rent even further from making sense mathematicly.

Paul, that condo looks amazing for $950 per month - and a great deal for all the amenities included! Where I live, this much space would cost me at least two times as much, plus I would have to pay utilities! I am paying only 7000 pesos a month rent for a 2 bedroom new house. Here in Davao in a sub-division with swimming pools and basket ball courts. Wasting money is stupid. Everything in the house we own ourselves.
Reviewing this video, a couple of things: I am a long-time homeowner in the Southwest US (NOT Nevada nor New Mexico) and my mortgage payment is LESS THEN $800.00 and almost paid of (less then 2 yrs). My home is all remodeled (recessed lightening, new flooring, new bathrooms, kitchen, fixtures, new kitchen, new double-pane windows and new roof replaced about 1 yr ago etc) and I DO NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN A THIRD-WORLD COUNRTY. Your friend mentioned Sacramento, his friend must have moved to Sacramento recently because I lived/worked in the Bay Area, renting a room with the landlord in a single family home in a very desirable home in Silicon Valley(Way more desirable and of course more expensive than Sacramento which is about 2 hrs from the Bay Area) for more than 20+ years, while I kept my house in the Bay Area and paid my Mortgage and once I was able to work remotely (About 3 years ago, moved back into my own home which was always fully furnished, never rented out because I knew it would only be a matter of time before local stupid would damage my house.) So, when I was able to move back full-time into my own house, it was clean, fully remodeled and I live comfortably.
This is the best apartment I've seen. I really like the large size with plenty of leftover room in the kitchen and living room areas. Efficient A/C's and heated water throughout. I'd like to know what square meters area this place has for comparison and how he was able to find this place.
I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath house in a good city decent size place with a mud room with running water outside. Sure it's not the greatest place ever but still not bad. This isn't worth it I seen a place I passed on for 750 with utilities fully furnished. It was a 3 bedroom 2 bath. Still nicer than mine but I don't like spending money I pay less than 550 a month with everything. But make 4k a month.

Well, if ALL utilities are included, it might be a decent deal. But, where’s the washer/dryer? Btw, I’d probably go for it, IF it also had a nice, big balcony with sliding double pane sliding glass doors. Still W-A-Y higher than most apartments in P.I. and I would shop around…
Yeah, but the Filipinos you deal with there are your neighbors and the community around you. In a place like this, the only Filipinos you have to deal with call you "Sir" and are "the help". 😮
This apartment is much nicer than that ex Pensive cheap apartment. This is a western standard and quiet with the double pane windows and all that air conditioning with electricity included. That is true comfort.
If you're paying that amount my opinion is just build a house (Nice place) but not too practical . Build a house with a nice man cave and a place to relax on an outside porch for a fraction of this cost. Also men moving over here paying this price is just driving up the market on other properties I wish everyone well thanks for sharing
@@PMLynch and philippines has chinese and Koreans IF I were a young man again I'd marry a Thai woman , have a child And after 1 year you can naturalize (3 years if married and no child) Ergo no problems with land ownership and visa runs

The furniture sucks... Nobody's going to get comfortable on the couch... Or in any of those chairs. And if the bed is not soft.. forget it. Very expensive for a bunch of cheap shit
