How could anyone not love Zydrunas Savickas. I went into a watch store and spent money just because they had an ad with him on it. Love that Loz just has "GOAT" under his name as a proper title, like a statement of fact. Because it is.
Big Z is the greatest strict presser in SM...not to take anything away from Iron Bebe, but IB doesn't strict press the weight, he Bent Presses the weight, an old technique from when the press was included in Olympic Weightlifting. I think Eddie Hall is #2 in the strict shoulder press in SM...my opinion of course. Honorable mention to Kaz Hugo and Mateusz, and Radzakofski( I murdered that spelling of his name!).
Hi all Indeed a Pleasure to watch Big Z, the Strongest man today in History. Remarkable Kind Friendly Inspiring Giant whom speaks Humble Words. You Are A Living Idol Big Z, May Jehovah Bless You.
He was very overrated. More than half his Arnold titles were won during a time where there was no competition there and no one really took the Arnold seriously. It was more of a boutique event when Zydrunas started there. Only after he won a few times did people start paying attention. It is also important to document that Zydrunas committed the highly controversial decision to leave the the main WSM circuit and avoided competing with the best strongmen of his time.
He won when Brian and Eddie and Vytautas and Thor were their he beat brian at multiple wsm he won IFSA (the toughest strongman lineup at that time) he won everything there was for him to win
@@Vipinnnn17 Not saying he is bad, just his accomplishments are inflated. He is on par with Shaw or Magnus but prime Z could not dominate in today's circuit.
@@RudolphARH-ot3do Ed was a great powerlifter. and I'm sure John Haack will be remembered in a similar way. However, adding a caveat, such as pound for pound, height and so forth are necessary for context. Like the comparison of an ants strength to bodyweight. Top of top. No limitations.
@@RudolphARH-ot3do Ed is my favorite powerlifter of all time, and dominated like few do in any sport, but even he looked up to strongmen. I think I recall him saying himself, they do stuff he could never hope to do.
0:47 - and he didn't have to bend over backwards like they used to do in oly lifting which got the press banned from the movements but which iron biby does. It's an actual shoulder press not a standing bench press.
0:26 and this is how northern Europeans have lived for over a thousand years... So when people say "whim hof method" I am like ... dude is taking credit for centuries of cultural practice and selling it to adrenaline junkies while completely disregarding and throwing away the purpose of breathing for freeing your soul and shedding ego...
