In FE, he's fast AND his sword can shoot projectiles. When he was added to Brawl, they made him slow and with no projectile to compensate for his strength. Then they added Cloud to Sm4sh. :|

@@External29 awesome pfp Also yeah, but I think Ult Ike is better than Sm4sh Ike personally. His changes to Up Air and Neutral Air are great, as well as Eruption gaining slightly more niche use with its longer reach. They gutted Forward Air though, very sad. Aether becoming a kill move is amazing too imo, and so funny.

I was an Ike main since brawl and he has been bad since day 1. His smash attacks are so slow (even Ganondorf's are faster, and also stronger), his up b is easy to counter and predict, his sword is unironically short (there is Sephiroth, Corrin, Ganondorf, Link, Pyra/Mythra, Sora, Byleth, etc.) and his aerial attacks are weak compared to heavyweights and other sword fighters. He has no chance against projectiles, than approach, but he is Bad at doing that

Ike and Ganondorf are strikingly similar. Slow attacks, slow dash speed, one burst option that is unusable in neutral, and a shitty recovery. If they ever make another smash game, they should give these guys projectiles or give them better ways at approaching. They don't deserve to be bad every smash game.

@@Icemario87 Yes. That's why it sucks so much. The opponent can just react to it, so it's a fake burst option. Practically useless onstage, but good for recovery if they cannot punish it. Super unsafe on shield as well for some reason. That's just the case for all of Ike's moves, very slow and punishable, but with no that much more power compared to others.

I get that it’s not obviously clear, but I just always considered up-b from ledge a bad commitment/option in general (in the bigger picture), just as when you do it on stage. So basically, it’s my b; i just assumed you thought the same way, so I meant to say that “if u do wack option at positional disadvantage then ur bound to get fcked eventually regardless of character, therefore, argument not so good” I didn’t know that good Ikes were using it as much as you claim. (I don’t play ultimate anymore)

I main Ike, and imma say through most of video most of the stuff I saw was just using his Up-B. It is not only reliable plus you can taken advantage of his dash attack (Side left or right and B) along with Standing still and attacking at whatever direction the opponent is coming towards you at. It is pretty risky if not used correctly since you risk getting a hit by the opponent. If the opponent is at high enough percentage when performing that Ike move he can take a stock. It’s more of a matter of you gotta know how to take advantage of all his moves. Another example is recovering using the dash attack (not fully reliable along with Up-B). I would go on but it would probably be the length of like 5 paragraphs worth of explaining
