From being a weirdo Black kid with my weirdo friends. Skating, being obnoxious... All that. Now I'm a Black woman still into weirdo shit but my taste is more refined as I've been exposed to more and more music. It's been an interesting social experiment for me to see what happens when you grow up with one of your favorite artists. Now he's got Le Fleur and is doing collabs with LV and even in fashion, I feel like he's on my level. I don't have any weird parasocial obsession lol, his music and influence has just been apart of my life for the last 13 years. That's a long ass time 😅

My takeaway is not necessarily "be true to yourself;" rather, it's "be true to your art." What does be true to yourself even mean, seriously?
