When asked about Maye’s timeline to starting, Mayo said something like everyone’s competing. So it sounded like he was hinting towards if Maye plays the best in practice then he could start.

Just please let Van Pelt coach him, be the OC. Don't let a defensive coach or special teams coach go near him. Just develop him the right way. In a year we'll have a QB and can move forward. Otherwise.... it'll be Mac 2.0

Look at his highlighs and compare it to Mac's. Mac has two NFL level throws in his 15 minute Alabama highlight role. Drake Maye has 300 NFL level throws in his 45 minute North Carolina highlight role.

Bills whole point is you have to prove it. Josh Allen proved it, maye hasn't yet. He didn't put up nothing but highlights he threw lowlights in there. Cuz there's always something to work on. It woulda been more enjoyable if bill and 1 other person was just talking shop maybe Louis Riddick. McAfee has a great show but it was too much hoopla to really get outa bill what he has to offer.
