Thanks for the history lesson on Oklahoma. I am from a small town on the border of Texas and Oklahoma, I have very close ties to Oklahoma history. I knew about Bass Reeves but never knew about all the black own towns there or black people being apart of the trail of tears

Actually Texas had more Freedom colonies (towns) than Oklahoma. Texas had over 550 and Oklahoma had about 50.
