@@rajanimdskincare I certainly appreciate your dedication to your work Dr Rajani! You have helped educate so many different people in your lifetime. You really are wonderful to share your knowledge the way you do! Some people think success is about how much money one makes, others think success is having a family. I think success is waking up every morning knowing you’ve helped someone. Not only do you provide services to men and women so they feel better about themselves, you share all of your beauty secrets with people who cannot afford to go to a spa regularly. You always give options for people to do what they can at home. I actually started my spa because my girlfriends could not afford to go to the spa with me when I invited them. I have a lot of respect for those who aren’t just about money! If you don’t already know this…..you are important to a LOT of people!!! Now, there is almost 5 feet of snow here just north of Barrie. I don’t understand why all these young women mess up their beautiful faces with fillers and whatnots before they turn 55 yrs old. Too much make up and sunshine without sunscreen. It’s terrible. Age grace full and mind what you eat. You can be seventy and still have a beautiful skin. My late mother-in-law died at 83 yrs old and even the mortician thought she was in her early 50s, she had no wrinkles, her skin was flawless, she neither drank nor smoked. Also, melanin does not protect against loose skin, jaw or the round shape around the lower jawline area that tends to form as you age due to lack of elasticity etc. So yes, regardless to your race, as you age strength training becomes more important to keep your skin tight and increasing muscle mass and reduce fat as well as increasing body exfoliation.

I love your candor, Dr! You are fast becoming a favorite channel. I'm 59 and I can tell you that I tried fillers once. I was around 44 which was a few years after being in surgical menopause. My skin went to hell quickly from it but did bounce back years later. I'm a woman of slight build, with thin, dry skin & delicate features to begin with -- fillers were like a huge NO. It just wasn't right my face. Of course, it was my lower face, where I was developing very slight marionette lines that were bothering me. My face is angular enough to never have been a 'contour makeup' type. Some faces just aren't the best candidate to use filler. That same Dr wanted to fill my temple areas - he said I was "skeletonizing" - it would help me look more "youthful". I asked if he used sharp needle technique or canula method - he was shocked I knew the difference, then said "needle". I ran out the door to prevent nerve damage :-) I'm grateful you are here to educate and be honest. It will allow women to make better choices in newer available treatments.

It’s hard for me to trust a provider after one gave me a horrible filler job 😢 I wish I could try again with someone else but I’m scared. I wish I lived in your area Dr. Rajani! This is exactly what I wanted, to look younger in a natural way. I went to a “reputable” place in my area, I thought he was the best so I went to him, but I should have seen all the red flags before my appointment, but I’m 33 and I’ve never had any procedure done so I didn’t know any better. First red flag was that the injector does not do his consultations, he had a young nurse talked to me about which procedure was better. I said I wanted to look younger in a natural way, also that I gained weight so my face was fuller and I didn’t like it. I have great full cheeks, even when I’m thinner you can see they’re full so I don’t know why she recommended me to get fillers, but since she’s the professional I trusted her. At my appointment as the injector is injecting my face he asks me “what is it that you wanted to achieve?” 😳 I felt uneasy because I realized the nurse and him didn’t talk about what I wanted. I noticed my whole face, specially my cheeks were very full afterwards but I thought my face was swollen. After a month I realized he injected most of the filler in my cheeks! Where I already had lots of volume. I looked like a chipmunk! 😭 even my good friends told me it looked bad, that I didn’t look like myself. I went back upset to get it dissolved and he tried to say I was overeating. Now my skin is sagging more than what it did before the procedure, I don’t know if maybe it was because the filler stretched out my skin and after dissolving it got looser? I don’t know, but I don’t want this to happen again, it was a very stressful thing to go through. Thank you so much for this videos! All Doctors should educate their clients this way so we know which procedure is better for us.

Same thing happened to me. I have a full face and she recommended fillers for marionette lines. I looked so swollen afterwards and my cheeks looked bigger and my chin and lips. It seemed to have migrated to other areas of my face. I was mortified. 2 1/2 years later I still look somewhat swollen. You are correct when it started dissolving my skin lost its glow due to the stretching of my skin. I now have fine lines that I didn't have before. Also, the under eye area is hollowed out from the stretching and more pronounced under eye circles and more fine lines under the eyes.... such a stressful experience and this was the first thing I ever tried and it was so disappointing. My face and skin looked better before fillers.

I agree with everything you said. I have seen too many celebrities that look like bloated balloons not to agree. I reside in the UK, and I am in my early thirties. In my mid-twenties, I started getting fillers in my face, and it looked good; after about a year, I did another one because I loved the result, and then another one after a year and six months. I thought I would do it forever after all; why would I give up that feeling of looking good but then I started seeing celebrities looking bloated like Simon Cowell, Nicole Kidman, Courtney Cox, and even my provider looked bloated and not like herself, on top of that I read that fillers expand the face which widen the natural skin's envelope so over time you need more fillers just fill in the space. I am glad you showed all the alternatives available as well as educating us on the topic. If it weren't for videos like this I might carry on doing it and who knows where my skin would be in the future. Maybe one day you might finish the UK.

I agree and this is what I've been telling people but you articulated it so much better! I loved filler in my 30s, it took the edge off and I looked in my 20s easily. But as soon as I was late 30s I didn't get the same effect. Filler is very limited, it's just for some minor sculpting but once you need more than that it's only good for being an add-on. For me the thought of injecting my own blood and plasma is really icky, I prefer a HA. But I decided no more filler for me. When I get really miserable if I do, I'll get a face lift with filler. But at some point, looking good becomes so expensive that only someone who can afford regular surgery can keep up the pretense. The rest of us should satisfy ourselves with looking happy and healthy via exercise, diet, clothes and makeup. Sad but that's the truth. All the money I saved not having fillers has gone on makeup and clothes lol

There's a video on here that I watched discussing the processes of fillers or botox. Once you get them even one time, they will NEVER go away. You could dissolve them but they will dissolve and your tissue will absorb it. Once you get that first injection of whatever ccs you get, the next time you go in for a retouch, the fillers are not going to start at that cc amount, they will begin applying at the top of where the previous filler began dissolving and just build up, hence why all these people look like a bee stung them. A face doesn't fully begin aging until 40s-50s and that's when the most notable face changes occur. Please be very careful, we do not know what these fillers will do overtime in our tissues

Have to disagree! Overfilled is obviously terrible, but also very different than correctly filled. I think if we are just focusing on areas of loss and being conservative with a good eye and great technique, over 40 is just as good a time as any. Pre-jowel sulcus included. I would caution against high heat in RF (Morpheus/Fractora) due to burning fat which presents as loss and more sagging skin. I agree that we should be using other techniques like microneedling and Sculptra along with peels etc. Anyway, my .02 but love your channel!

Fillers helped my confidence skyrocket. I do not regret investing in myself at all.

I do see problematic results with fillers for some people, especially celebrities. However, I don't go overboard, and I'm loving my results. I do a combination of fillers, botox, good skincare, chemical peels and staying out of the sun/wearing sunscreen. Depends which product - & areas of the face that move most, like the lips, will 'wear' it out faster - but I was told 18 months - 2 years. I had light filler in temples & mid-face, simply to replace lost volume which was causing sag & a change of proportion I just didn't like, didn't feel like 'me', & it *worked!* Very happy with result, don't know why this guy is saying it doesn't, maybe he means when people over-do it, but that happens with under-40s too! Fillers Do work for over 40's, I know many in London that have them myself included BUT if used very sparingly and depending on the location. So fo example, a small amount of tear trough filler every 2 -3 years etc is subtle and makes a massive difference in lifting the face, however the ones here that look overdone have a ton in their cheeks, their chin, their jawline etc and that weight just pulls their faces down.

By far, the most important anti-aging practice for me personally is a low carb diet. I've been low carb since 2005, high protein, high saturated fat, everything they tell you not to do, but my blood work is perfect. I had my first filler at 51.I'd had some teeth extracted and then implants, and the subsequent bone loss left little dents in my pre-jowel areas. I has half a syringe (1ml in total) each side and I'm absolutely delighted with the results. It lasted 18 months and I've just had my first top up. I dont think I'd go for volume filler though - I'm okay with the deflating 😊
@dammar117
@dammar117 Год назад
You don't lose bone after impkants. On the contrary, you grow bone, especially if you had bone grafting. The bone loss happens BEFORE the implants and is the reason why you need implants! I suspect something similar to me experience happened to you. When I got my implants surgery, I had bone loss. I had lost one tooth many years ago, and a second one was partially extracted. At that point, I had no jowls yet, thanks to all my diligent care. The surgery took 6 hours (4 + 2 in the span of 10 days), during which I had to stretch my jaw to the max non stop. In the ensuing weeks, I notice jowls for the first time. Yes, suddenly. Clearly, the over stretching of my lower face for so many hours consecutively broke my collagen fibers and damaged my elastin. Furthermore, to confirm all this I'm telling you, I had an "old" side and a "young" side. Well, two years after the surgery, even though I have jowls on both sides, the sag is worse on the formerly "young" side. Why? Because I grew bone on the "old" side thanks to the implants, and that compensated for some of the aging.

I started having fillers at age 30. I'm 44 now and I've always looked young and still do, so I never had the filler to look younger, but rather, to look better. My cheeks are naturally very flat, my nose has a slight bump and my lips are assymetric. Filler makes my nose straight and slightly upturned (which I want), my lips look SO much better and still natural, but my cheeks are the main thing that really help me as they give the illusion of a lifted face, less heaviness of the lower face and my under eye area looks much more "firm" - the skin looks thicker and smoother.

It’s not our fault that filler comes in a tiny syringe and that amount costs over $700 almost everywhere. I’ve gone to multiple consultations where nurses will act like I am naïve and crazy for asking for a small amount and they tell me that half a syringe won’t do anything. The first time I got chin filler it was half a syringe and I loved it, looked great, natural, wouldn’t have wanted any more even though the first doctor I saw wanted to put THREE syringes and quoted me at over $2000. Maybe the practitioner should place more onus on the manufacturer for not making a product with adequate dosages because they all assure me that one/ half a syringe won’t be enough to do anything. Or maybe you’re just not resourceful or talented enough? Don’t blame me for not wanting to spend my entire last months pay on a dollop more of your product. Aren’t we supposed to be paying extra for the expertise anyway? That’s what I’m always told, not necessarily the product. Gosh this gets me fired up, rant over.

I combine it with a Gua Sha massage in the morning and evening, doesn't need that long as it sounds, when I apply my skin care products. I am 40. I have always looked younger, but with face yoga improved my face once more. You have to train the muscles and fascia in your face. Face yoga is also good for your lymph system and increases the blood flow. But this of course is not a quick fix. You need to do it every day for at least 15 min. But I think it is a good invest in myself and maybe I can delay the sagging of my face for a while. I think everyone has the time. Think of all the minutes we loose during the day with things that are a waste of time.

Uh oh hon I was told not to do any fillers or botox until 40. Just lasers. Which I did. I started fillers at 40 😬Even my acupuncturist thought I was 10/15 years younger - until I hit menopause which happened 2021 now I look 40. 🤯😵‍💫Just had Morpheus done.

How was your morpheus treatment? Is that RF microneedling? If so I'm thinking of trying it but I'm kinda scared!

I didn’t even think of getting fillers until I turned 40 and I love them. You have to have a good injector.

I am 46 an African American I have always looked very young but the laugh lines were a no go. I got filler yesterday and I am loving it already. I was scared to do it at first but I may even do under eye filler next. So I think everyone is different. I definitely take good care of myself

Cheek filler can give your under eye a lift. Avoid tear trough if you can.

I lather olive oil on my skin, followed by volume filler, retinol, triple revitalift creams and pepsides, by Loriel. I use retinol drops, hydrochloric acid drops, and roc crepe erase cream For my arms. At the end, I use vitamin c water based roc cream on my face.

Truly unpopular here. I didn't even get filler until 60. Or botox for that matter. OK I'm youthful, good skin, in great shape too. I used Voluma (cheek), and Volbella under eye. I also began using retinol and then Tretinoin thereafter. It all came together for me. I love the way I look at 66. However.....I do love your work too. You're a favorite of mine even if I don't always agree - so I appreciate your channel!

Maybe it’s how much these ppl used? I got juvaderm at 43 , small amount in cheeks, temples, jawline and it took years off my face , no more pre-jowl, and made me look like I had a good nights sleep. I’m 46 and only touched up my temples this year, filler last a long time!! That said I’d like to do skin tightening from my age now forward . I like facial structure , as we get older fuller face (of filler/water) doesn’t equal youth or health to me , it looks unhealthy.

What kind of filler did you do in your temples? I was considering scultra there.

Is profound rf safe? Are the results worth it? I'm afraid of losing subcutaneous fat in my face.

Totally agree!! I’m 56 and just got Sculptra. I’m hopeful it will be the solution for me. I definitely did not want regular fillers. It just looks bad on older people. And lumpy

What would you suggest to help marionette wrinkles/lines? It is worse on left side of my face and there when I smile.
@mrgordy1980
@mrgordy1980 Год назад
My injector said placing the filler into the marionette line doesn’t help correct the wrinkle. You need to address the upper cheek first and then the line becomes less pronounced. Later you can put some filler directory into the lines but be careful if the first option is to inject directly into the lines themselves

Just save your money until you have enough for the surgery. That’s my advice for someone who has tried filler, Sculptra and Botox. Just pay up and pull it back. Everything else is just temporary. If you add up all the money you’ve spent on temporary fixes you could have had a facelift or even Two!

TRUE but facelifts do not adress loss of fat and volume in the eye sockets, temples and cheekbones. You can Pull everything up but the more rounded, filler cheekbones and a heart-shaped face look young.
@qtyogini7486
@qtyogini7486 Год назад
For me, I already have a heart shaped face and high cheek bones. My problem was saggy jowls. Personally, I do not care for the look of “fat” in the face. I have friends who have gotten addicted to filler. As the doctor points out in this video, filler can be overdone. Sure, you could still get filler after lifting if that’s your thing, I just find it unnecessary. Sculptra would be the only thing I would recommend to someone looking for an alternative to surgery, but in “my opinion” surgery is the way to get the lasting, satisfying results.
@philippillis9393
@philippillis9393 Год назад
@@qtyogini7486 yes I think as someone has pointed out, fillers Need to be seens as make up for specific occasions but not as a yearly thing. Sculptra, PRP, Hyperdiluted radiesse and botox give much more natural results but yes a vertical facelift is the only thing that can give dramatic and long lasting results especially after a certain age where it's not just the loss of volume creating imperfections but an overall laxity of the fascia deep within.
