Qasim Ali Shah Sir, Assalamu Alaikum. I do agree that women need to be financially independent, especially in the times that we are currently living in. Education plays a very strong role in this. If a woman is educated and has a degree, it will be easier for her to get a job and she won't be easily manipulated by threats from her husband or in-laws or even by her own parents and siblings.. LEKIN, Sir. I would also like to draw attention to a very prevalent reality in Pakistani culture. The vast majority of Pakistani men whose wives are also working expect their wives to do the housework and raise the kids ALONG with a maintaining professional career. This is a common complaint from many Pakistani working wives that they do not receive help at home from their husbands. A woman is a human being, too. She is not a machine. When she returns home from a full-time job, she is ALSO tired. But if SHE is ALSO expected to do the cooking, the cleaning, laundry, the raising/discipling of the children, the children's homework, then that will breed resentment in the marriage. In some marriages, a couple can afford a maid or a chef or a nanny for the kids. In Pakistan there is a rivaaj of having a maid. But in many marriages, it may not be possible to have a maid or hired help for the house. Our Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallim felt NO SHAME in doing domestic chores in the home. Many Pakistani men ignore this aspect of the Sunnah. Many men will get annoyed and even angry at the wife if she asks/tells him to even pick up something from the floor that he dropped by accident. It does not decrease the mardaangi of a man if he also contributes within the home along with also affording the akhraajat. I understand that this particular lecture encourages women to become financially independent. However, it doesn't lessen but only beautifies a man's character if he also gives some attention to the domestic responsibilities within the 4 walls of the home. Sometimes I think that many Pakistani men only like to quote ahadith when it favors their own gender, or as a way to unjustly and unreasonably limit/restrict the women. But there are many simple daily things from the Sunnah that are ignored. So, please, Qasim Sir: Now that you have made a video about empowering women through financial independence, please also make a video that challenges the Pakistani Male's concept/perception/attitude of "masculinity" within the 4 walls of a home. A video like that will provide the Pakistan awaam with some food for thought.
