There's even a later chapter where the characters start mocking Sumio for having to run further and further across Lospass. Finally, he (SPOILERS) steals a bike. I loved that it was Twin Peaks + Groundhog Day, except the point of Groundhog Day was that Phil becomes a better person by the end and in FSR Sumio just gets more and more bitter about the assholes he has to deal with. Fantastic game.

1:12 I feel the need to point out that the video isn't showing the actual running speed. FSR, even on the DS, doesn't look or run that bad and everyone should play it because heck yeah Flower, Sun and Rain!

The bomb never exactly change places, the game really hates you by blocking your path and makes you wonder, why I have to go through other people ordeal over and over again.

big problem with good weird games is: the general public doesn't buy it, because it's not the formulaic genre of racing, or fighting, or whatever. Then a guy like Suda51 starts to make open worlds and fanservice games, because like everyone else, he needs to put food on the table.

Why do I want to play this game despite Austin's (loving) critique of it while also agreeing with Danielle's dislike of The Witness and definitely never wanting to play that again? Both games don't have fast travel (before you correct, Witness has "slow" travel) and to me, in different ways, give the player tasks that sometimes are not fun to accomplish at all, even if the feeling of victory is still there. Is it that Suda does it "weird" and Blow does it... fuck it, "arrogantly"? Whatever, I don't really have an easy way of playing this anyway.

0:04 Did someone say DeadlyPremonition. F,S,R is super bizarre, but strangely satisfing... Until the last day, then you get Mind f**ed... Probably one of Suda51's best works. So weird, but interesting.

Well, the new Suda 51 remade old Suda 51's The Silver Case, which FSR is a spiritual spin-off of. While Austin explain most of the games on this section well, I think he didn't do it as well here. Granted the game is hard to talk about, but Austin could've touched upon things like his history with Suda games (and FSR), or give a background of kind of games old Suda makes. His argument about "punk rock" makes no sense.

Its actually a sequel to Silver Case (Mondo being a clone of Kodai and Peter being Tetsugoro Kusabi) and a prequel to Killer7 (Edo McCallister having been killed off by Emir Parkreimer)

I really hope FSR will be remastered like Silver Case was. The DS version's graphics are so puke it's insufferable, and this is coming from someone who is not a graphics freak.

Why? The ds version is literally the same game, but on the ds you can use the touch screen to input numbers and can access the case at any time, which let's the player save, make annotations and read the guide at any moment. It is the best AND only version playable in english.

@@Rihcterwilker Is not the same pal, i have tested both, the mood, art direction and style are completely lost on the basic DS graphics also the music is in a much higher quality. Unluckily if you don't speak japanese you are out of luck.

@@GenesHand Of course, the original has filters and non-compressed music, but going from a ps2 to a ds, making it to be almost a 1:1 port, it's serviceable enough to be considered a good port.
