I think it's the opposite. Tighter athletic wear starts off uncomfortable, but feels waay better than the baggy stuff when you're actually playing or doing exercise. Playing in those old baggy kits or the old NBA jerseys doesn't feel as comfortable.

I think they just made them slim to follow fast fashion trends, so they can sell more kits. Trends are cyclical so 20-30 years from now we’ll probably move on to either ultra-slim kits or back to baggy ones. And they’ll just claim the tech is better on which ever.

No it mimicked the wider 'skinny fit' style of normal clothes and now that baggier clothes are back in vogue the kits will follow...though at a slower rate than street wear because when u spend as long in the gym as grealish u want everyone to know u didn't miss legs day😅
