Here in Cary it's not bad. I've lived here for 13 years and have been in no trouble. It's lowkey, quiet, and simple. I recommend this place to anyone. Although the house prices are getting higher every year.
Thinking about up and moving from Washington to Cary! I have a Washington teaching degree but I have never taught my own class. I saw tons of teaching positions and their schools look great! Do you think I would be able to live in Cary as a single 25 year old with no money? Idk how I would live without knowing anyone or having money for an apartment... but I so just want to up and move!
I'm not sure what an entry level teacher is going to make in Wake County. But I think if you have roommates, you can make it work in a 3 bedroom. There are properties out there for $1400 or so a month. Split three ways I think that would stay under 30% of your monthly income, which is a good reference point.
Cary needs alot of public housing because i cant afford to live there because im broke and cary is pretty cool thats why i hope they start building housing projects so more low income people can live there cause cary is hella pricy
I was hoping some people of color would jump on and reply. There have been several good conversations on other videos about this and I think the overall experience of black people in the Triangle has been positive. Give me a little bit and I will grab a few links so you can read those conversations. I’m also trying to put together a live video panel of some black people who live here to share their experiences. Stay tuned!
