There are few things sweeter than knowing a man obsessed with money and power, regardless of the cost to the world and even his own soul, is facing his declining years watching his empire crumble, playing to an audience he hates, and surrounded by squabbling people who have no respect or love for him. Nearly a decade ago Yahtzee made a joke: "my goodwill started drying up faster than the tears at Rupert Murdoch's funeral." And nothing's changed.
@@jawadarif5676Fox only embraced conspiracy theories after Roger Ailes left. Before that, they just chose to cover topics conservatives wanted to hear while ignoring topics liberals wanted covered. This is basically the reverse of the mainstream media does.
Does the media truly lie to manipulate average people to follow a screwed up agenda to keep rich white supremacy in power? Nah! 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Keep in mind that Rich White supremacy does not like anyone even whites. All they want is your money and to control your mind to get your money and to help propagate hate against others to get your money and to turn you into mindless drones to get your money and to __________ (fill in the blank)
Murdoch owns 70% of media in Australia. We were set to have fibre to the home for internet access, which would have made us one of the fastest internet access countries in the world. Murdoch didn't like that, he sees the internet as competition for his empire, so he had his goon party scuttle that and we ended up with some of the slowest internet in the world. His goon party is called the Liberal Party. Their policies are written by a group called The Institute of Public Affairs (IPA), which had Keith Murdoch (Rupert's father) as one of its founders. Grace and Chloe Murdoch have no control or power in the empire because the four older Murdoch children pushed them out. They felt Wendi, Chloe and Grace's mother, was a gold digger and didn't want her to have access via her children. Their mother, Wendi is said to have become Putin's mistress after she split from Rupert.
The Liberal Party of Australia, despite what the name suggests because liberalism is a centrist ideology, is a center-right to right-wing conservative political party and has a joint coalition with the other conservative political party the National Party of Australia.
@@marcosjuarez7809 It's definitely right to far-right. I once had Lexi Downer's nephew (the family resemblance was too strong not to believe he wasn't who he said he was) stop me as I was leaving a club on Oxford Street at 6am, right before a GE, telling me I should vote Liberal - "A white Australia for white Australians" was what he told me. Absolutely vile.
I've heard of similar other stories and I'm wondering why this is the case in particularly Australia? Why does traditional media have such strong control there?
Can I commend the quality of this channel. New and alternative media like this that has such a high standard helped contribute to the downfall of traditional media empires like Fox
American tax law enables them to write brâzèn própågāndą settlement as "legit business êxpênse" heck they'll also claim increased insurance premiums due to this settlement as legit too
The faster the Murdouchs go away the safer the world will become. I doubt that there is a an individual who personally made so much harm to the world as Rupert Murdouch did.
To a certain extent, however the people who constantly listen to FOX did not get their views from FOX. They already had their views. FOX just parroted them back to them in order to make them watch consistently.
Point made, but it's actually ridiculous when you consider the millions of people killed by the foreign policy establishment in Iraq (the Kurds, the children and old people in the 1990s, Baghdad and surrounding areas in the 2000s), to say nothing of Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, and on and on. And the list of offenders is diverse and long. Anyway, _yes_ but the sentiment is out of proportion and most probably distracts from larger (but similar) problems
@@unvergebeneid I do a lot of volunteer work. In the volunteer space, nobody gives a sh1t what gender, nationality, age you are, what qualifications you have, or who is in your family tree. @@wiseoldfool that sounds great, really glad you can do something meaningful there! But it's not great that meritocracy only exists in places where the only thing you get out of your work is purpose, whereas the jobs that pay more than anyone should get paid are usually hereditary.
I tried watching Fox News once. I was disgusted. They did not mention a single current event involving foxes. I’m trying to get fox news, and all I get is right-wing nonsense. Ridiculous!
Worker: Ahh yeah.....I would like to report workplace harassment. Foxs HR department: Okay heres some paperwork for you to fill out, that we will put in a file cabinet, never to be looked at, and if you don't like that, theres the door. 😃
I think there are legal reasons why the appearance of there being no one behind the wheel for the last few years, according to a recent biography Rupert has always been a micromanager and the ultimate authority. The idea of it all falling apart, well I can't think of any downside to that.
There are some similarities with Succession, but when I saw they were eyeing Middle-Eastern money to take the company private I thought "No way!". Apparently this is new info from an upcoming book, but the exact same thing was done in the series in season 2, which aired mid 2019, so 4(!) years back.
Even the sibs characters are matching up to the IRL versions: Shiv/Elizabeth wants to sell Ken/James wants to adapt/lead the company Roman/Lochlan wants the world to burn Connor/Prue is not that involved
I haven't watched Succession and I don't have any insight in the Murdoch family, but I can tell you that Middle Eastern financiers buying out publicly traded business has been a repeating pattern since the 2010s. The oil industry is inherently unstable and has an expiration date and the people who have made their wealth from it are painfully aware that once it collapses so will most the ultra-wealthy, but totalitarian and corrupt states which were built on its success. Their mad scramble to buy any western business they can get their hands is essentially the rats trying to build a boat for when they flee the ship.
Your implication that the Fox News audience isn't already a "Force For Good" might surprise them. I wonder how that slogan would sound on their promo blurbs: "Fox News, A Force For Good!" Sounds kind of dystopian to me. Btw, congrats on the smashing preorder success!
@@Elemblue2 well, that sounds like nonsense but my point was, the viewers of Fox think they're the good guys but that's what villains always think of themselves. Dictators don't sit around cackling about how wonderful it is to be evil, they think they're the ones who are right.
Faux News’ coverage of the Big Orange could have been copy-pasted from the North Korean state “news” agency’s coverage of Kim Jong Un. It was plenty dystopian already.
Probably mentioned, but half its audience will be dead or in a care facility in 10 years and the other half in mobile homes wondering why life has changed so much, and not to their advantage.
I'm glad, at least, that two of the four trustees seem to be pretty level-headed. Hopefully Prudence will be the counterweight needed to push back against Lachland
Too Long looks awesome! Brilliant idea, and it'll be great to see how TLDR translates to print! (Former newspaper designer here... maybe it's the dummy copy on your sample pages, but you might want to flush left the copy in the columns, increase hyphenation, or reduce the type size-there are rivers down the column. A lot of tabs ditched justified as the column width on the smaller page became too small. Probably misremembering, but I think that's what the Times and Guardian papers did... back under Blair!)
@@wakaisgood Lol, describing FOX news as balanced is laughable. And there is nothing center right about their viewpoint. In fact in the context of most other western countries weather it be Canada, Australia or the EU FOX would be a hard right news outlet. That a lot of Americans see FOX as "center right" shows how much the public debate (thanks to outlets like FOX and political arsonists like Trump) has already shifted to the right. A trend that should worry you...
I was expecting a rick roll when I clicked on that link. Because the premise is so insane that there was no way it wasn't a troll. Maybe I'm just jaded or something.
Can’t believe that Rupert Murdoch stepped down as Chairman between the time this video was filmed and when it came out 😩 Can confirm that Rupert is now Chairman Emeritus and Lachlan is the official Chairman (yikes)
Want my opinion, no Australian should have any sway on American politics, especially when the one running it is living in Australia. Sell it and don’t come back
Yeah finding info and doing a video about Obama is secretly gay claimed by some dude who looks like he came from the deep south. Real good journalism Tucker @-@
It is sad to see comments that lack insight and deductive reasoning. Fox has obviously become a propaganda tool of D.C., which masquerades as conservative while purposely omitting what is really happening in our great country and around the world.
Tucker's abrupt removal was just the tip of the iceberg for their sinking ship. Just like most cable news (or just cable overall) it's basically getting as low as a limbo game. Regardless of what you think of Tucker and his opinions, you can't deny that he brings in the viewers that his former colleagues didn't get and can get a viral reaction both from the right and left for differing reasons.
@@franciscoacevedo3036Brazen? You realize if Fox could prove any of those claims there wouldn’t be a settlement at all right? They didn’t even TAKE IT TO COURT, they settled it out of court because they knew they had nothing. You have no knowledge of what you’re talking about, probably a bot though based off the way you type
I dont understand why ppl watch Fox News?! I watched it once and felt my IQ diminishing by the minute. They dont report on the whole truth and the best they do is take part of the truth (10%) and spin it into this unbelievable properganda story. Just look at how what they did w/the so-called election fraud!
Guessing he was cut loose because Murdoch had bad visions of Tucker being called on as a witness, getting on the stand, and saying “It was lies and my producers told me to say it.”
Tucker would bring up stories that other Fox News hosts don't ... often these were about everyday Americans bullied, banned, censored and fired from employment, simply for their political views ... additionally, his sarcastic tongue-in-cheek monologues were excellent.
That makes the lest amount of money for the channel. They make the most money from getting the channel syndicated - I am sure TLDR did a video on where the money comes from
@@wakaisgoodthey literally lost 700 million dollars and their most popular host because they lie constantly. They have high viewership because they say things people want to hear and galvanize their audience.

The news should not be ruled by billionaires and corporate interests, so seeing the objectively worst cable news network crumble like this is just really cathartic.
