Is hugging a big part of the culture where you live? In some countries, like the United States, it’s very common to hug someone you know when greeting them or saying goodbye. In France, however, this definitely isn’t the case!
You may have noticed that French people rarely (if ever) hug each other. It’s simply not part of the way that we interact with each other! In today’s lesson, which will be entirely in French, I’ll explain why that is - and what we do instead. Try to improve your comprehension by following along with the French if you can, but the English subtitles are there to help you if you get stuck.
Take care and stay safe.
