I wanted to cover the stats behind general aviation crashes to hopefully have a practical discussion about safety. I'm all for reviewing incidents and learning from them, but I worry that some viewers might accidentally think that aviation is more dangerous than it really is, or misunderstand the real reasons for accidents. It's a real risk and one that we need to take seriously, but I don't want anyone to NOT pursue aviation because they think that the stats are out to get them and they will inevitably get hurt. The statistics say otherwise.
