@@glorialove1149 better screen, battery that last all day, quick charging out the box, more customization. Like now I actually enjoy being on my phone lol

Got the regular s10...i do agree that it is the better form factor and that single camera cutout is beautiful and never intrusive but i would prefer bigger battery anyday
Oh wow, you will get an hour or so more battery life. Yay. Big deal dude, I don't know why people are obsessing about the battery so much. It's not like like your getting 2 days of battery instead of 1 with the Plus. You are literally getting 1-2 hours more. With fast charging and everything else available, that shouldn't even be a factor when choosing which one to get. I got 8 hours of sot on my regular S10 a few days ago when I was home sick doing nothing but playing on my phone. If you need more battery life than that on a normal day and can't find a way to charge it, then you have deeper issues to address.
@@WizeGuyDezignz That extra hour or so can be pretty helpful, especially considering that the battery degrades overtime. That's the reason why I chose the plus over the regular s10 coming from the s8, 3100 to 3400 is too small of a jump for me. The battery life is amazing for all three phones, but it'll change in the long run. By all means, this is all personal preference and how you use your phone overall.
@@WizeGuyDezignz that extra is more than an hour more of sot and also add more device idle time which is a big deal for me as i am not always around power outlets and neither can i carry powerbanks all the time,i am just saying that s10 is the best variant overall but it has got nothing on the battery life of plus variant
I've actually used and owned both phones and I prefer the S10 over the plus. Everyone says better battery on the plus. I did a test my self and played the same movies on both phones and only got an extra 38 minutes. Both phones are great but I like the small version better. Easier to handle
Thankyou! I have a S10 and I was wondering how much better the battery actually would be on S10 plus. Now I'm even more sure I made the right decision with S10
Just got my S10 through Amazon as a "Renewed" device... and I have to say, I love this phone. Not only because it's technically brand‐new despite the fact that it's a used phone, but I feel like it's perfect for me. Previously, I wanted the S10+ for it's bigger screen & battery... but now I can say it truly doesn't matter to me. I have bigger hands/longer fingers, so holding the S10 is a tiny bit smaller than what is ideal for me to hold in terms of a smartphone, but at the same time with the form-factor, it's perfect to fit right into my hand when I need to just grab it & go. The screen resolution & clarity is beautiful, as most Samsung screens are. Clarity of the speakers is awesome, definitely something I appreciate when I just wanna listen to my music through the phone speakers and not through earbuds or a Bluetooth speaker. I thought I'd prefer the dual-camera setup on the front versus the single on this S10, but not at all... because when it Really comes down to it, you don't need all that.. you really don't. Battery life for this S10 I have, I have no complaints,,, I get at least 10 hours from a full charge, which is more than enough for my daily life. Conclusion? Go get the S10... because you really aren't missing much if you go with that over the Plus model. When it comes down to it, you don't need all them extra bells-and-whistles... this coming from an individual who has gone through a ton of phones in his life time, just because I wanted them. 😅🤣 stop being greedy yall, more isn't always better and there's always gonna be a bigger, better option in terms of a smartphone, so why get so hung up over the extra features?
Everyone is in such a hurry on you tube. There is no finish line. Live life. EVERYTHING is an experience to learn from. Stop being in such a f@#&ing hurry!
@@respectyourbody9912 I would take the lighter weight all day . The s10 is the perfect phone for most , but yes if you want the biggest display I get it.
I agree with you on the display and the battery, but personally I find the big phones too big, I use to have the iPhone 7 Plus, and now I have the Google Pixel 3xl (only got it for bigger screen to body ratio and 2 front cameras) but still would prefer to get a smaller phone.
RED FIRE the new iPhones should be better than these s10s given there more expensive but there not,the new huawie devices are better and still less to buy than the new iPhones
I agree completely with you, and that is why I went with the S10 standard! Initially I was drawn to the plus variant because I love a large display, but as you stated, the size of the plus just wasn't as practical for day to day carry, and it's not like the S10 standard is small .. it's just smaller than the plus :). I've had my S10 for almost two weeks, I love it, it's beautiful, fast, and super slick. I feel that I made the right choice.
I went with the regular S10. I think it’s just the perfect size and I prefer the single hole punch vs the dual. Also the S10 screen has more PPI than the S10+. I thought I would miss out on the bigger battery but I’m still getting 8 hours SOT easily using your battery tips
Shijou check out his video on battery saving tips for the S10 it makes a huge difference. And I have the snapdragon model. I actually got 10 hours SOT one day I was impressed
Im using exynos 9860 and i get the same 8hrs of SOT i couldnt believe it the first time after watching many reviews about the s10plus which is pretty much on every video right now. Now im relieved i didnt make a mistake on getting the regular s10 coz the only thing im missing out is the extra cam on front display which literally doesnt even matter.
@@k02a20 1 Hour more at that..Same phone but bigger.. For me i would keep the s10...But i was use to lugging around a lg stylo 4 .. So the compact feel the s10 is great
Hi Parvej - it is now Dec 2019. So you still like your S10? If you could buy another phone would you buy something else or keep the S10? I'm having trouble choosing a phone. Thank you!
Finally an S10 review. I pre ordered so been using for 3 weeks. It's awesome all around. I got it because of the size and had noticed little difference in options and performance. Plus the S10 fits in my jean front pocket. Easy to carry. I thought I messed up choosing this one cause all the hype is the plus including tv commercials. Thanks for helping us S10 buyers out.
I was feeling the exact same way. I bought the s10 the day before it came out, and got it 5 days after it was out. I tried my best to look at reviews of my phone but couldn't find any videos or articles about my phone all I could find is ppl saying buy either the s10e or the s10+
Half of your reasons are pretty null. The S+ is easy to carry and fits in a front pocket and isn't that much larger than a normal s10. But performance and options are identical except for the battery.
Bob Villani yo do you play fortnite if not could you redeem me the ikonik skin It’s and promotion when buying the s10 maybe you could be generous and give the ikonik skin to me
@@DETERMINOLOGY They're practically the same width, I have both, I own an s10+ and I bought an s10 for my brother. Given the s10 does fit nicely in your hand, hut both fit perfectly fine in your pocket and isn't bulky at all.
I tried out both S10+ and the S10e and settled on the S10. Its practical and the technology is outstanding. I wow everyone when they hear the capabilities of this phone. I even convinced my friend to buy one!
The 10+ has 700 more mah than the 10, the screen is larger, there's a depth sensor on the 10+, and it has a vapor cooler inside that the 10 doesn't. I think those are the only differences 🤷🏾♂️
Simon Say's News The note10 doesn’t come with a headphone jack tho. Or so I heard. Deal breaker for me. I wanted to upgrade my note8 to 10. Gonna go with the s10 now it seems.
I'm kinda indifferent about the size. I just saw that the S10+ has more stuff eg. cooling system, depth camera on front, or more battery, so I went for the S10+. I'm used to the S10+ now and have no regrets.
@@brayan673 I got it and it had/has a couple of issues. 1. My text messages weren't notifying. But that was fixed when I removed CCleaer and Avast Security. But Gs10 actually has better in Device Management app and the Lookout App that comes with the phone.(ATT) Now I get a audible notification when I get a text message. 2. The speaker phone volume is not as loud as it was on my Gs8 and I've seen *A Lot* of complaints about that on line. I am currently looking for a volume boost app as I type this. Overall, I'm satisfied and will update any future problems I have later.
Thank you for covering this. I said the same thing when it was released(zero coverage). Everybody clamoring for the lesser 10e and the S10+ that requires big hands for usage(which most who own do not have). I bought the S10 and its been great ever since.
This phone fits a 100 mAh less battery and .1 inch screen less than the s8 and s9 plus. I've had it for a month and I'm averaging 7 hours sot and throwing it on the charger before bed at 15%. As cool as the plus seems, I'll rock with the S10. As a heavy user it works just fine for me.
Where do you carry that big Ark when you go out it's too bulky you're a man not a woman with a pocketbook the regular one is way better it's small you can carry it around with you in your pocket that's too bulky.
@@richardcerritelli9657 There are numerous types of hard or soft holsters or pouches that you can attach to a belt, put in a jacket pocket, or just hand carry. I use a water-resistant nylon one for my Pixel XL, designed for sports/outdoors (but w/o a silly armband for joggers, thankfully, lol). It wasn't expensive, isn't bulky & weighs almost nothing, and has a flap with a magnet if I want to loop it around my belt. No offense, but I just DON'T understand why a guy (or anyone) would carry a $1,000 device in a pants pocket... In a front pocket, even a phone the size of the S10 will be bulky (esp when sitting down), and you risk scratching up the phone display or chassis with pocket dirt/sand, keys or coins. In a back pocket, sit on it wrong just *one* time (esp on a hard surface), and you wind up with a bent phone or a cracked screen ! 😩
I done the same thing 5 months back and I had iPhone x also 🤦🏽♀️iphone ehhh lol since I switched from iphone to Samsung s10 it has been the best decision ever!!!!!! Samsung all the way👏🏾!!!! And I have been a iPhone user since iphone 4s🙈
Guys, I have the S10 Plus, and it's just way too big. I really wanted the S10E, and there weren't any stores nearby that had it, so I've been stuck with the S10 Plus. Its size gets in the way of its useability. Great phone with a beautiful display and camera, but it's simply unwieldy in day to day use. The extra battery life is not worth it.
Great comparison. Before I purchased my S10 I was thinking about buying either of the two but ended up buying S10. Just like he said, S10+ main advantages over S10 are the battery, the display (for those who watch/play videos/games all day) & for multi-tasking. But, S10 can give you all that as well but just in more compatibility & comfort. I'm fine with the battery in S10 because I don't run any heavy apps or games on the phone anyways, I like how easy it is to just carry it & reach out everything you need on the phone. And the display is not a big of an issue for me even tho I do watch videos daily but if you really want display, there are bigger phones than S10+ in terms of display.
I like a heavier phone. Makes the phone feel more high quality. Flossy Carter thought the S10 plus felt light and therefore added a heavier Ghostek case with metal bumper to make the phone feel more premium.
I've had my J2 prime for about 2 years and I'm finally getting and S10. I was debating whether to get the plus on not and now I have my answer, thank you.
yo do you play fortnite if not could you redeem me the ikonik skin It’s and promotion when buying the s10 maybe you could be generous and give the ikonik skin to me
I agree 100%, I picked the Galaxy S10 and really the only regret I have is the battery life. However, I think it is the best out of the 3. Why? You get all the main features of the S10+ It's smaller No double notch It has the highest screen to body ratio of every phone, and I think objectively it looks the nicest out of the 3.
Great review! I too had my mind set on the regular S10 until I went to the store and picked up the S10 Plus. I changed my mind right there. The S10 Plus feels more solid in the hand and feels more premium than the regular S10. I always heard it being said on RU-vid reviews that the larger cutout on the S10+ is not so intrusive after all, and I did not believe that until I got the S10+ myself. And I can say in all honesty that it really does not bother me as I thought it would. Just using it for a day and I forgot that it was even there. I have owned the galaxy S8 Plus the S9 Plus the Note 9 and now the S10 Plus, and I must say that this is the best yet ever from the Korean Giant.
Cristi, it's not like you think it is. I always have only one phone with me. I always sell the new phone I buy within the first six months and then get the upcoming flagship. It's an unhealthy craze because you always lose some money when you sell your used phone. But this time I plan to hold on to my S10 Plus for at least a year or two. It's really foolishness to keep upgrading to every flagship that comes out. Learning to be content is the key. "And He (Jesus) said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth." - Bible. Be blessed my friend.
Battery life is not a huge matter for me and I'd settle down with the S10 because I always have a powerbank and charging cord beside me especially when I'm using my phone for long periods 😉 Also have a spare powerbank too. 20k mAh usually lasts up to several full charges~
I had the Note 9 which I found to be too big (I always needed two hands to operate it and I even dropped it several times) and I wanted to trade it in for the S10 or S10+ because I'd wanted a wide-angle camera for some time. I wasn't sure which model to go for, but this video helped me decide. I ultimately went for the S10 over the S10+. My new S10 in prism white ticks all the boxes for me, particularly as regards size and one-handed operation. In fact, aside from my beloved silver S7 edge, it's probably the best phone I've ever owned! Thanks, Nick!
you forget to mention the the main difference between s10 plus and s10 is that the s10 plus has got a "VAPOR CHAMBER COOLING SYSTEM " AND thats gonna make lot of difference when doing heavy tasks to keep mobile cooler and protect from cpu overheating and less battery drains and better gaming performance and thats the thing i went for s10 plus and its most imp if you are a heavy user.👍
My sister just got her S10+ today and few minutes after starting it up and the phone became warm to moderate hot and there aren't even any heavy usage yet or many apps running. I thought the cooling system would work since she has S10+ but I'm doubting now if it really works.
I got my brand new s10+ a month ago in white ceramic, 12 GB Ram with 1T storage for $495 including tax. Best phone purchase I ever made considering all its features and price. I put it in a case same instant of purchase. I LOVE all it can and does do.
I have a galaxy s10 and I love it. I did consider trading this back in and getting the s10+ because the s10 wasn't getting any coverage. I'm relieved now though
I've been using iPhone 7 for the last 2 years and moved to Samsung Galaxy S10 a week ago. Oh man, the immense amount of freedom to tweak with your phone to accomplish literally anything, is so peaceful. I had started using Android 9 years ago and just wanted to try iPhone once. Not going back again. Also, coming back after 2 years of exile from Android, I've noticed that there isn't much need for rooting the phone anymore. Android is closing the gap with iOS in terms of quality.
This video was exactly what I was looking for, thank you!!!! I was in between this two phones but thanks to you, I'll be going for the S10. Although, there was another few questions I was curious about, like is the cooling system better on the S10+? Does the S10 heat up too much? And what about the battery life for the S10, did it last you throughout the day with heavy use? Nonetheless, thank you for this amazing video!!
I have small hands and small pockets, and I really don't like big phones. An extra hour of battery won't be useful for me, because if it gets to that point it usually means I need an extra 5 hours. I'd rather have the smaller form factor and carry around a battery pack with me. 😞
In love with my s10 I couldn't justify the extra $100 for 1 extra camera and .3 bigger of the phone and battery. The only thing that I cared about was getting through the day on my phone and I do. I unplug at 7:30 and don't have to plug back in till 10:30 or 11. Overall very satisfied with my purchase!!
If they decreased the price by $25 (making it $125 more expensive than the S10e and $125 less than the S10 Plus) and added a slightly bigger 3600mAh battery it would be perfect.
*Advantages of S10+ over S10* - Slightly more screen real estate - More battery life - Second front facing RGB depth camera (you get slightly better selfies) - Heat pipes for better cooling in games (possibly better performance *not tested in real life) *Advantages of S10 over S10+* - Cheaper $$$ - Higher ppi (sharper text & better VR experience if you're into naughty stuff) - Better portability due to a smaller size and lighter weight - Easier & more practical for one handed use - Less screen obstruction because of single front facing camera
I have the s10 and i love it, perfect size for people with small hands. This is the best samsung phone thry have ever made thus far. I love the camera hole cutout and can't wait for samsung to update so you can use it for notifications.
S10 is the best, I highly recommend it. Not sure about s10 plus but I got s10 like 2 weeks ago (update from a51) and I just loved it. No lagging at all, extremely fast. Because it is 8gb ram. And if you don't like the speed, in setting goto memory, and change ram. very smooth really. And the screen isn't very big or small, medium, enough to enjoy video or to hold it. And if you want to buy used, I recommend backmarket, they are the best, got mine for around $125👍
I have and vote for the 10+. Battery life and punch out isn't even noticeable because the screen that is left is bigger than the 10. What most impressed me about this video over the topic is how ambidextrous this guy is. I caught myself watching him and forgetting what he was rambling about. He should be a magician doing card tricks
You're right about the smaller camera cutout and more convenient size, BUT, although I liked all that about the S10, I took the S10+ ONLY because of the battery. I appreciate the S10 more than the S10+, but the big battery made the decision.
I Agree w/ you 100% brotha ' before I got my galaxy s10 I was thinking about getting the iPhone x Or the galaxy s10+ and honestly I'm glad that I got the Galaxy s10 💯
I HATE Apple retail stores so much! So I've always had a Samsung Galaxy and just upgraded in the last 2 weeks from the S7 to the S10. So far it has been a great experience as long as there is no inflated battery like my S7 had only after 18 months!
Same here. I currently am using a S7 and my S10 will arrive in a few days. I can't wait for the experience of that beautiful edge to edge display. I am so pumped.
Thanks Nick, I want the plus because I had the pluses. So I'm used to it but mostly because of the battery life and cooling system it has for video games
for me the s10e would be better because it's even more compact, has a flat display, still single camera cutout, wouldn't miss telephoto, more reliable fingerprint sensor, AND it's significantly cheaper than the s10
I wish Samsung kept this style I personally like it better then the s20. I also personally never use the full zoom on videos I just use the original zoom.
I appreciate your end comment that it only has a bigger battery and screen but it also offers a much bigger memory. As my main application will be for video production for my RU-vid channel then that could come in useful.
I got regular size S10 and I'm satisfied. One thing that Samsung messed up this year was placement of power button. It's too high up there, so on the plus model, even people with big hands should have problems using it. On my S10, with my pretty big hands, I got used to it pretty quickly and I don't have any problems reaching the button.
If u have more money, just but s10+ because s10+ has more better spec and features than s10 for sure.. any the price difference is not to big so why not right? Im used s10+ right now and yes this phone really a beast.. the display is not joke because the sharpness is very impressive
