Why Gib BEATS Slim.. | The Breakdown DEBATE 

This card needs to be the first 8 round misfit event and these two need to main event it. This fight is one of the most hyped out there, I’d definitely buy the PPV!

I don’t think we need more build but they definitely have to headline because that is a hugeeee fight

I’ve got to go with Gib on this one…. It’s hard to see slim having a chance at really putting gib down, and I don’t know that slim is able to do enough points wise to win in 4 rounds. And if it’s more than 4, I think Gib will execute his game plan more effectively.

I really think temperr was overrated, i had a feeling slim was going to win by a longshot, temperr only fought kenny, and despite kenny not throwing hands, that fight was close like yes temperr won, but if Kenny just threw maybe 1-3 more punches it would’ve been close seriously

Here’s how I see it: If Slim is able to stop Gib in the first few rounds, Slim takes the W If the fight goes longer, Gib will win either by Decision or maybe KO (most likely not idk)

Gib is a nightmare for anyone due to his pressure, slim is slick in offence but gib forces defensive mistakes, and will come down to the gas tank, can see it being stopped in 5th round

I think if gib fights slim, gib will win. I agree with sensei that the fight would go very similarly to the Austin vs gib fight. Slim would obviously learn from that fight, but I think Gib still wins regardless, especially if the fight is 6 or 8 rounds

I just can’t see Slim loosing this. He got everything on Gib other than cardio. But that’s some he can work up easily, that’s the ”easiest” thing. And u know that’s what he’s gonna specifically work on if they fight. Although for me this is the best or the second best fight in RU-vid boxing history if it happens… this and the JJ vs Jake fight are gonna be one of those HOF fights.

I’m rooting for slim but I think Gib could win. Gib has a gas tank, tough, skilled has decent power. Temperr had bruised Slim even though it was only 2 rounds. Slim could win too but Gib will win imo.

If you guys want Gib vs Slim as the main, then there is no "If's, And's or But's" about it. It needs to be an 8 rounder. I support all of this Social Media Boxing but I'm not buying a 4 or 6 round main event. Especially if it's 2 min rounds like the WOMEN have.

We haven’t seen slim with a full camp and we’re already debating whether gib would win or not. If he got a full camp, he would mow through gib.

i see gib going down with a right overhand , i love gib but he has shown that he is easy to be put down and his balance is questionable i think slim gets the job done before round 5 .

Sensei basically negated a massive part of fight prep which is strategy. Slim has a ex world champ in his corner best believe they’re strategizing diligently before fights. Slim forced Temper to fight the way he did, you took too much credit away from Slim there.

Gib gets caught too much in early rounds. If Slim gets him then, its lights out. If Slim cant get Gib out of there though its almost certainly a Gib win.

He dropped Ryan Taylor but so did AT and deji… also temper is skinny so his chin is probably weaker than most. I still question slims power.

Slim best moments will come during the first 2-3 rounds in which he might even score a knockdown or 2 but after that I believe gib will survive and will be able to mail him and time his shots to counter and end up knocking him out or winning rounds after if it’s a 4 round fight slim is favored 60/40 in my opinion but if it’s longer I got to go with gib 75/25 he’s more experienced and has more tools to find slim and hurt him

Slim’s reach would be a problem but his size not so much, he’s 6ft which McBroom is as well. The only way I see Slim winning is if he succeeds at using his reach and finishes the job in the first 3 rounds. But if he can’t take advantage of his reach and finish the job then Gib will destroy Slim because not only is Slim’s cardio not there after 3-4 rounds (as we saw with his last fight) but Gib would tire him out quicker since he will be putting a lot of pressure on him and he would hit Slim with a lot of body shots which we know Gib loves to take. I think this fight would be great and I’d love to see it and this would be the first fight where I’d be happy with either fighter winning.

With the gas tank thing I don’t think it’s been mentioned much but gib really works the body whereas I don’t know if temper or Ryan threw a body shot that wasn’t a jab and slim still gassed, I can picture slim feeling pressured to match Gib’s output and volume but gassing even harder because of the body work Gib would invest where before slim had output but barely any body work put on him but it’s interesting

really difficult fight for me. one thing i do see quite often is Gibs legs not quite being all there in the early rounds, and doesn’t really have that balance until late 2nd round.

Gib’s last two performances (which has been his best) has been against opponents who were way less heavier than he was. Gib had a massive weight advantage on Holder and a decenty big weight advantage on McBroom. Slim is out here hurting people much heavier than him. BUT Gib’s cardio is insane and Slim has shown in his last fight that his cardio needs more work. It's definitely a interesting fight.

I think they should headlong Dazn X Series 005 in February or March. Whichever month it was confirmed for I forgot. But I got Gib unless slim can learn his defense and gas tank a little better. But I want Gib to up his head movement as well. Good fight

Horrible fight predictions … Sensei is the one who actually knows fighting and has, but this isn’t fighting with kicks, it’s boxing and Slim won’t lose, you’d have to put his lights out, that’s something Gib can’t do, ya Austin got knocked out but that was because of the compilation of knockdowns which if we were honest should have had a 3 knockdown rule or the ref might have called it if it wasn’t an event bought and set up by Austin and his team. Slim hated his last opponent and that was so clear he was trying to knock out the dude because of their past and if you don’t know fighting with emotion like that makes you half at best the fighter you would be if you stayed calm and cool and maybe slim thought even if I fight like a Mexican I can smoke this guy…cheers to Ryan Taylor I think his name was for having that iron chin and clearly that dog in him…it’s hard to put someone away that for lack of a better word is a little coo coo

I was reading some replies on other comments and I can't understand how some people think Slim will KO Gib. Ryan is a big guy but he is nowhere near as defensively responsible as Gib.

like jj said, gib gets stronger every round. he may not have any natural skill, but his heart and gas tank are almost unmatched in the scene, i think slim wins but only if he improves his cardio, we saw him gas out in round 2 against ryan.

Slim is someone Jake paul talking about alot in his bs with jake paul. Yes jake a troll but when comes to seeing potential he is good at it. Also Slim is someone who left no money on table meaning he will go to any extent if he thinks it will give him his W , Gib a bit reserve in that aspect. So , i think Slim will take the W but not an easy W a W by slight margin.

Personal Opinion: Slim’s great, but overrated af.

Slim can read the game better during the fight and make adjustments, probably has greater one punch power, but we don’t know how he’d do in rounds 4-8, and Gib will probably demand an 8 round fight. If Slim can box smart and stick behind his jab with that MASSIVE reach I think he’s good. Gib can’t close the distance before Slim cracks him. And plus Slim has proven he’s got a chin on him. Also Gib tends to rush in and isn’t the most defensively responsible at all times.

I think Gib vs Slim is good enough to main event their own card under Misfits. Both have earned that.

Ever since the jake fight, the community has been real doubtful of gib. But imo, gib clearly takes this fight. He is just as durable as ryan taylor, and way more skilled in all facets of boxing. He actually knows how to adapt to an opponent and catch wind as to how to exploit his opponent’s weaknesses. I don’t think it’ll be an easy fight, but I do think Gib would win handily. Slim’s path to victory is to catch Gib early before he’s had time to adapt, but I don’t think it happens.

Stylistically, Gib is a bad match up for Slim but if Slim lands clean Gib is probably going to sleep.

Its crazy how everyone is not emphasizing slim beating faze temper. EVERYONE thought slim would lose. Slim knows what he needs to do to win the fight. My guess is slim plays it smart throwing the jab to keep gib of him and frustration gib with his reach and win by points.

What scares me is seeing how austin could knock him down and with slim being a KO specialist worries me
