Why Goblins Want To DESTROY Wizardkind For GOOD 

Goblins don’t seem to have the ability to care about others outside of their species. Just look at the way Griphook turned on Harry, even after Harry saved his life. For this reason I think they definitely have to be kept in check.

I wonder if elves and goblins will ever get wands. And since they’re magical, do they truly need them? Look at how well Dobby and Kreacher used wandless magic.

You can only imagine how the wizard world will be if the goblins take control of it since they tend to be not only greedy but chaotic as well. They might be like the MTG goblins living in caves on mountainous regions 🤷

I'm happy with Harry Potter Folklore. Do admire the latest ai artwork. More goblin history. Yardley Platt (1446-1557) was a serial goblin killer. Oswald Beamish 1850-1932 was an activist and a pioneer for goblin civil rights.

Considering that even Witches and Wizards can use Wandless Magic, I can't help but feel that wands are actually a crutch that most of them rely on too much. The average Wizard is helpless without his wand even though it's not necessary to be able to perform magic. Even multiple other magic cultures focus on Wandless Magic so I don't understand the Goblins' fascination with them. I'd consider over reliance on having a small, easily breakable, twig in my possession to be a weakness not a strength.

Isn't it generally widely accepted in the canon that a wand doesn't make the user more powerful? (with the possible exception of the Elder Wand...though it does want to stay in 'superior company' for a reason imo) This is not the first time I've seen this debate, but the general consensus is this across the ones I've participated in and seen... Wizardkind has given goblins control over the money system as a way of pseudo-power. In a typical society, if one group controls all the wealth....look what happens or tends to happen. They have massive leverage over the rest. We can assume goblins are aware of this and see controlling Gringotts is a way of wizardkind trying to appease them. But what is the real use of money for wizards when they can use a single spell to kill, produce water from air (as water is there...just not in the form they want), and take dead/undeveloped crops and grow them nearly instantly. That being said each witch or wizard, with sufficient knowledge, can meet their essential needs without money. So what is money used for in the wizarding world? In my opinion....luxuries. It is somewhat of a faux system (not the AI kind), but the fact it is there as a façade. tl;dr - Wizardkind has 'tricked' goblins into thinking they have a large degree of control (while still acting as if they look down on them...while actually doing so...) by giving them control over their money which they in THEORY do not need.

Interesting idea for a sequel . . . HOWEVER, I think that would label the Goblins as the "bad guys" of the series/book & I don't think they really deserve that title given how we've seen (most) wizards treat them . . . 🤔

Goblins are the Wizarding World's accountants, jewelers, and bankers. Every Gringott's bank sits atop a Goblin mine. The mines are a labyrinth of caverns, crevices, and chasms. Goblin mines are a very dangerous place. Goblins are obsessed with all types of precious metals (gold, silver, platinum, bronze, etc) and minerals (diamonds, rubies, emeralds, crystal's, etc.). Goblins covet these metals and minerals because they can absorb and channel magic.

Nice, there's a lot of aspects of the magical world that we don't know about, like goblins and elves. So this is a breath of fresh air.

I hate the disrespect many wizards showed Goblins over the years. The blood that shed was priceless and painful to both sides and it seems that wizards don't learn after one time. They should be seen as equals and treated with respect. I wonder why were they neutral? Did they consider Voldemort's side just as bad as Dumbledore's? Probably they did but it's a good video suggestion. The truth about their intelligence is that it's equal if not surpassing that of a human. I even remember Ron advised Harry to give Griphook a fake sword. And Hermione told him that because of such attitude Goblins hate wizards, something along those lines besides the fact that Goblins can feel if it's real or not. And I am always happy to have Harry Potter Folklore back. When you changed the name to Shock Wave I didn't like it but I still loved you the same.

When my biggest problems with these goblins in Harry Potter is that they do not believe in other people owning goblin made objects it is purely owned by the one who made it and it needs to be returned upon death in that case why don't you just obliterate the goblin because obviously that's what actually they deserve for starting the war they attacked wizards and one of the founding fathers of Hogwarts that is not go well and I guarantee they'll never get that sword unless it's to cut off their heads which would be more understandable because goblins seem to be extremely greedy

These goblins give me a horrifying reminder of the movie leprechaun horror movie leprechaun I remember a small bit where he's on a pogo stick on someone's back puncturing holes as he goes the way he looks shows to me that goblins are just pure evil but then when you play Hogwarts legacy it kind of shows something dramatically different they're still creepy as hell looking especially with those dagger teeth the claws you can ignore the teeth no no no no no you have to cover those things up if you're at a smile at me I would more less be afraid or want to run away because of those things

the solution is simple, purchase a goblin made item then kill the goblin creator so you don't have to give it back. if goblins are so smart then why can't they understand the difference between renting and owning and item?

How do goblins learn their magic? Is there an goblin school of witchcraft and wizardry or something? What kind of spells could they use in the wandless style?

I’m actually working on a Harry Potter spine off story that takes place in the 2010’s. However, it won’t be about Harry’s kids. Instead the story will focus on Harry’s time as an auror this point and an original character of mine as he is about to start his life in the magical world. FYI, Both Cursed Child and Hogwarts Legacy, despite me actually liking the game, will be non-canon to this story.

Very typical of Human's in general to stamp on anything that rivals them and make them out to be the bad guys for it. Sure the goblins hate the humans but can you really blame them? Now imagine if that hate wasn't there and they truly worked together as equals, they could achieve incredible things beyond our imaginations!

Yes I think Goblins should be treated better, however given their nature I don’t think they can be trusted with somethings like wand making. Wizards need to clean their behavior when it comes to other magical races.

everytime i see this part of the wizarding world is wizards bad goblings good, and this at least to me is more grey, goblings hate wizards if they had succeed in one of their rebellions i doubt they would had treat wizards as equals, ron did say in the books, wizards may not share wandlore with them but goblings wont share their knowledge of metals with the wizards either
